It's a military fundraiser my dad was taking part in. They have stationary bikes and teams for each one. The teams get sponsors and spend an entire 24 hours spinning on the bike (taking turns--though there were two guys who did most of the 24 hours by themselves , they got like pee breaks and stuff). It's for something called Soldier On, to help wounded soldiers. It was really neat because we did it in the sports center here in town and there were two big maps with displays on it showing how far they were going, and at their combined speed they "travelled" all the way to kandahar and back and the on to the christmas island/s? I stayed over night (don't know why .. I didn't even get to bike a little bit ) but they raised over $33,000 and they got to see the guys IN kandahar start their spinathon (web cast up on one of those map display screens).

A stationary bike , people work out on them in gyms.

Ah, you mean something like an olyptical...except its just a regular bike where the back tire is on a stand

Yeah, but this bike managed to have two wheels..I don't really remember much about it now...lol too tired.

two wheels, both moved, and when you were done you pushed this red brake in the center of the handle bars (which were shaped like racing handle bars)to slow/stop the wheel. They had little counters o the handle bars too that measured speed and distance traveled.
