Hey, sorry I haven't been here for ages. I've been busy in the guitar world. razz
My question today revolves around buying equipment from other countries. I am thinking of buying a Boss CS-2 compressor (as some of you know, a rare and great Boss pedal), and the prices here in England are extortionate (£75+). I have been considering taking advantage of the good exchange rate between the UK and the US (I see the pedal going for about $100, which is just over £50 here).
All is fair enough, but I have had problems with buying equipment from the US. The Korg EMX-1 synth I bought a while ago was from the US, so I had to search for a Korg power supply that converted 230V (the standard UK voltage rating), because the synth was supplied with a 120V converter, which nearly blew a fuse in the house.
I assume this will be fine for the case of a Boss pedal, because the input voltage is only 9V, so I can use a battery, or a standard 230V pedal adapter. I am just here to check that my suppostion is correct? Cheers.

James you're probably right in your assumption. I would guess that 230V, 120V or 10000V can be stepped down to the right voltage. The only other thing you should really watch for is the current (amps or milliamps) I believe that for most boss pedals it's 300mA. You should double check that.
and uh... Welcome back biggrin
