Isn't it the greatest feeling when you get a new instrument?!

I have been badgering my dad for months to buy me a step up clarinet from my cruddy plastic 5th grade one
And just yesterday he finally gave in and bought a Yamaha Allegro
Yeah I know there are better brands, but we were on a budget and it's wood
And gorgeous

But if you have gotten a new instrument, how do you cross over?
I've been playing Pirates of the Caribbean music for a day and a half

when i first got my 2nd alto, i was almost afraid to touch it. 3nodding then i'm pretty sure i went through a 5 minute phase where i played both instruments at the same time. then i remembered how awful my first sax was and never touched it again. xd

I had only played on Selmer USAs, Bundys, and Jupiters so far. Then I got my beautiful Selmer Paris Reference 54 tenor and was like, "Yeah, screw them," and ditched those other saxes right away. I still use the Jupiter for marching band, it's not a bad horn.

Every instrument I play on at the moment is professional... Yas 875 alto, T-901 yanagisawa tenor, Bb, A, and Eb R-13s. The Eb what my teacher used when he was in the Pacific symphony orchestra for 5 years, and both of the other R-13s were played by him. I love all of my horns and take extra special care of them.
