When Resident Evil became The Birds, I lost interest in the new one.
The only thing I really like about Extinction is the costumes.
I felt it strayed away from the video game so far, that they became completely separate storylines.
Then you'll be happy when the new CG movie for Resident Evil comes out.
It's supposed to be a LOT like the games, it's not a sequel, prequel or anything.
As for the first 3 movies I don't think they were really trying to follow the plot of the games, just kinda loosely base it on characters and stuff.
