Once again his royal highness El Rey was rather bored. The Goblin kingdom really was a dreary place to be. It was colourless, all beige and grey and not at all sparkly and golden.
He was outside again today, it wasn't too cold really, the goblins seemed to disagree, but his poncho kept him delightfully warm. With his dreads occasionally flicking him in the face due to the fairly high wings, and the large metal things he had attached to them clinking he sounded a little like a walking wind chime that was quite painfully out of tune.

The gardens were an interesting place to be in quite high winds, his poncho was flapping like a sail and he found it oddly amusing that the plants were all trying to lay flat. Every now and they had had some fun chasing a particularly small goblin that found itself caught up in a particularly strong gust of wind, chasing them was fun, they usually squealed when he picked them up though.

All in all the day was much more interesting now that he was spending it outside that it had been within the castle.

Aruru was skipping her way through the garden, a pouch held around her waist on a sash as she looked for feathers and other things she thought were delightfully useful in love letters and the lark. She had added a few new brightly coloured feathers to her hair though, thinking they looked lovely. Currently she was halfway under a particularly big bush, trying to reach a captured feather when she heard something so terribly offtune biut lovely sounding that she had to stop.

What was that?

Having never heard a thing like that in the gardens before she crawled right back out, a few twigs and leaves caught in her curled hair as she looked around. She couldn't see it just yet! So, she picked herself up and went running in the direction she heard it from, stopping when she saw a very bright...gold?...well.man. "hello there!" she called, tugging the shawl she had put on for the chill day tighter around her as she walked over, smiling.

A woman? Where had she come from and why hadn't he seen her before, that was what El Rey had wanted to know. He had made a point recently of trying to introduce himself to as many pretty young women as he could, but it wasn't actually that easy to raise the numbers particularly high tin the goblin kingdom, unless you had a weird fetish for goblins of course.
Which he didn't.
Regardless, this called for suave behaviour, yes, definitely, the very suaveyest he could possibly muster. He was tall, he was dashing, he had oodles of gold! What wasn't there to love? Or you know, at least have a fumble around with!

Taking slightly longer steps than usual and planning to go through with the delightful gesture of offering her his arm upon reaching her to make sure she didn't get hurt in the horrible weather El Rey made his way over towards the rather pretty looking woman, only to be totally halted in his tracks as his rather fetching poncho was lifted by the wind and did a very good job of wrapping itself around his head.

Aruru stopped in her steps when the man took notice, smiling pleasantly while picking leaves and twigs out of her sandy-blonde hair. She liked the look of this man, he looked like a nice fellow indeed! So when he approached she didn't flinch or back away, instead she walked to meet him.

"Hello My name is Aru---" She greeted, cut off when the man's poncho made a delightful show of confessing it's utter adoration of his head. She blinked "--ru..." she finished before a peel of delighted giggles left her, purple eyes shining in mirth as she took in how ridiculous he now looked while trying to unwrap the poncho in the wind while battling to keep her skirt and hair at bay.

El Rey took a good couple of minutes to tame his rogue poncho, as it did seem highly determined to engulf, smother and generally love all over his regal dread locked head.
He was rather irritated by the time he finally managed to free himself and sighed rather exasperatedly.
"Well now, that could have gone better, at least it wasn't a giant bat or something though... that would have been even more interesting..." he shook his head,
"We have them back home you know," he added,
"Giant bats I mean, its incredibly annoying to push you blondes open and find one of them trying to nets outside your window, their a real pain to move! And if they fall on a passer by... well.. put it this way, they weight about as much as a medium sized dog..." he shook his head, what on earth was he talking about..? He was reminded for the hundredth time why he very rarely took control of affairs outside of El Dorado himself, or even inside El Dorado, he just went off on too many tangents... come to think of it he hadn't polished his gold that morn- enough!
He smiled at the elf girl and dipped his head,
"My lady! It is a delight to make your acquaintance this rather blustery day! I am El Rey Dorado..." he dipped forward in a courtly-ish bow, holding his poncho down once more in case it decided it wasn't entirely done with his face yet.

Aruru relinquished her hold on the Poncho when it came to light that El Rey had it under control instead clasping area's of her skirt to make sure the wind didn't think it looked better up. That would be embarrassing! She blinked, a smile pressing over her thinly glossed lips at El Rey's funny little story. Well, her morning had brightened up a lot!

"Giant bats? Well I'm certainly glad the biggest thing I've seen that flies is a rogue Eyechen! Heavens knows how it managed to start flying anyway, I think a goblin may have picked it from the wall and lobbed it" Aruru commented, rather glad she wasn't in company with any large bats, she hated bats quite honestly. She smiled and curtsied a little when El Rey inclined his head, patting her skirt down when it gave a warning flutter upwards. Well, she would need to go inside soon.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir El Rey" Aruru greeted with a pleasant smile, giggling a little when she noted the hold the other had on his poncho. "Would you like to go inside and have some tea and scones? or perhaps cakes?" She asked. "I was just about to head inside after I collected one more feather."

El Rey smiled at the young looking elf and nodded,
"I think some tea would be very nice, and I guess we could see what kind of food these odd little creatures can come up with, they tried to feed me a shoe for dinner the other night.. it was rather strange indeed!" he grinned at his newest friend,
"I think we'll be lucky if they can tell the difference between a cake and cog, but we'll see!" With a happy look on his face he held out an arm to the elf, managing to secure his poncho with his arm so it wouldnt fly up and try to maul his face again,
Poncho's were apparently dangerous creatures.
It didn't take long to find their way back inside, and a moderately comfy room with a nice large window was his chosen location. The goblin he talked to seemed more reasonable than some of the others and managed to reduce its use of obscenities to only every other word...

"Well I haven't found anything odd in my food yet, I'm thankful for that." Aruru said in a rather relieved tone, nabbing the feather from the bush she had been trying to grab it from. She inspected the feather before slipping it into the small bag tied around her waist. She giggled at his next words, shaking her head.

"Someone should tell the Goblin King that his chefs are sorely lacking some basic skills." Aruru suggested in a light tone, following him into the castle and the room he picked. She took a seat in a chair. "Well...he was rather rude."
