Well, Bass Clarinet totally beats any Sax, any day, and completely wipes the floor with Clarinets, but Saxophone is easily better then regular Clarinet.

biggrin Bass clarinet is way too huge for me. I sit at about 5'1". I still manage to play it though. Any clarinet is way better than a sax.

Sorry, I'm going to have to go with the saxophone. Despite how awesome bass clarinets are.

bass claris are fun but bari saxes are even more fun. although i *am* a bit of a saxist, my vote goes for the sax.

Kiki_Kittys_Clarinet clarinets are easy they just go down in a row its simple and peoe who cant play it in my class are dumb cause they say its to hard to finger the notes your clarinets outta try some of the stuff we play in my band then. our music would completely pwn them. mrgreen and there are some odd fingerings with it. some of the sharps and flats. the naturals are the ones that are all in a row. with the acception of low Bb and a the high notes once you get up to that really ridiculously high octave. it's easy to finger notes on a clarinet, but to actually play it, the way the instrument is meant to be played is an entirely different story.

Clarinets > All saxes. =) I play the clarinet and i love it. I'm probably going to do it throughout highschool. I've never tried sax and i never want to. I dunno why but i just don't like saxes. I have to admit barry saxes do sound pretty cool.
