Well, I looked up the Spanish Influenza(what Edward was dying of at the time he was changed) on wikipedia, and he was listed under "Fictional Victims" with a little cross next to the year of his death/birth... Apparently the epidemic was so bad in Chicago that it's crime rate was lowered by 43% because so many of the criminals fell victim to the flu... Also, victims of the flu often had a bluish tint to their skin and coughed up blood.. Poor Edward!!! crying What do you think Edward was like before then? What did he wear? Did he like baseball then, too? We know he was eager to go to war, as most guys his age were.... what do you think???

Hmmmmm.
Diffenetly would have been a baseball (or maybe even golf) fan. Baseball is the "all american game" so they say, and a big thing at that time. I like to think he would have been just as polite and will liked as he is now, and little more nieve with girls (seeing how he is still new to it at that time).
aww couldn't you just see him walking up to his first crush with some daisies ans a shy grin, and then giving her a little kiss on the cheek?

AWWWW whee .... I don't think he liked anybody before Bella though... Hrmm.. I wonder if he had had a lot of friends or if he was the quiet, studious type... probably the latter....

yes, but edward is the way he is because he's lived a lokng life. When he was human he probably got a lot more excited about things because they were new to him. And I'm sure he's had crushes before, maybe not love, but crushes. I mean the boy was 17. lol.

Hm...I honestly don't know what he would have been like. I know he would have loved his parents very much...But other than that, it's kind of hazy for me. I don't think I could imagine what he was like as a human. The way he is in the book, was developed over the course of being a vampire.
I'm sure he liked baseball though. Perhaps he played on a team?
Hm...what else...I'm sure he studied hard and was the perfect child, although he probably had a very michevious (sp?) side too.
As for girls, I can't see him loving anyone but Bella. After all, he was ready to go to war. But he wanted to get married right away. I hate say it, but maybe he was a player...He just didn't notice it. I'm sure he had to beat off all the girls with a stick. But he never went for any of them. Maybe that's why I like this icon so much...It says "Before you, Bella, we thought he was gay."
Other than that, I can't come up with anything. Like I said before, it's blurry. I'd be more than happy to see what everyone else comes up with...Especially since I'm never on this guild. (Or any of mine actually) But I promise to check back. heart

i promise you this: i will never. NEVER let Edward be a vampire. WHY? Because the story would be boring if he was ever a human. We're all humans here. It would be awesome to date a supernatural. blaugh
