ok, so about 10 and a half years i moved...half the country away from where i once lived (and 'tis only Scotland, so not that far, really), but a couple of years ago i got back in touch with a friend from the place i used to live, and we sent each other letters and stuff, and we got close again
in September we both went to Uni, and now she's only half an hour away...
BUT...she's ignoring me...like, completely!! i'm just not part of her life anymore, and i'm making an effort to talk to her as much as i can. I tried texting her but she's changed her number, and i don't have any way to get it, i start convos on MSN but she never replies, not does she reply to my Bebo comments and stuff
i'm pissed off and upset...i tried to tell her a few weeks ago that this was it...i tried to just say goodbye to her, THEN she acted all chummy: "I've got a letter for you!!!" have i seen that letter? no...
any advice of how to get through to her or to tell her that if she's not gonna talk to me then there's no point of being friends? because i don't want to have her on my lists and have her ignore me all the time...

Maybe tell her that on the MSN? Surely she'll at least get the message, even if she doesn't reply to it. Or in an e-mail?

i just said hi to her on MSN and when she didn't respond after 20 minutes just said "nevermind..." i'll probably give her a piece of my mind tomorrow if she gets on...

Well, first of all, for her I think the idea of having you as a friend is more exciting than actually having you as one, no offence to you. It sounds like she's not interested in putting in the time and effort it takes to maintain a friendship... but it also sounds like she doesn't want to really admit it. Maybe she's just too busy, maybe she's forgetful, maybe... who knows? The point is, friendships can't be one-sided, you know?
I think you should either send her an e-mail or write her a letter - choose whichever feels more personal. Tell her, short and simple, that you're upset with the way she is treating you, that you don't feel your friendship is going to work, and that you're effectively cutting off contact with her because being ignored =/= friendship. Let her know it's her choice whether she responds, but be firm - don't respond unless you're really interested in trying sort of thing.

i just gave her a short mesage on MSN saying " either you haven't got my messages, don't have time to reply, or just don't want to, so i'm going to take the time now to say good luck in whever you end up doing...and goodbye"...
so far she's not replied...if she does i'll go into more depth, but if she doesn't reply to that then she's just not worth anymore of my time...
