Operation Salvage Nirmitze

several day ago i was able to get a man inside of the UGMF guild and get some info on this mission that happens to be in effect still now....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The clouds outside the docks of the United Gaian Military Naval Base in Port Gambino were pretty gloomy and dark our, with heavy rain coming down along with the blinding wind as well. It had never been this terrible outside, but the weather wasn't going to get any better as the hours passed on. Soon, jeeps and trucks with equipment started to come in, carrying the eight man team to their helicopters.

Major O'Brien was wearing the new black SEAL suit along with his helmet, night vision and gas mask around his neck. Meanwhile, two large UH-60 Helicopters were ready to take his team and the rest out to their objective - a large container ship almost 30 minutes away from their location. He checked over his MP5 Sub-Machine gun and attached the silencer, making sure it was cleaned and prepared.

Jinx sat on the docks of the Naval base, waiting for something to happen. Her gear was all on, a black special opp outfit, borrowed from Natlie's wardrobe, and a black cloak, for warmth. Her hair was hidden away, beneath a sturdy helmet, which, she borrowed from Lepper. She tilted her head up, enjoying the rain on her face. As the keeps and trucks started to come, she relaxed.
Jinx sighed, and walked her way back over to the trucks.
She couldn't really, tell, what kind of fire arm there was, she was blind, and was more of a knife person then a gunner. Jinx shrugged, she'd use the curved dagger in her brown pouch. She had a few throwing knives, but she knew she would need to get some of the firearms.
She just kinda stood there wondering on how in god's name she's going to pick a firearm, if she can't tell what they are.
Hearing that everyone was nearly ready to go, she randomly picked out the M4 carbine, because it seemed like a sniper rifle, and a heckler and koch tactical MK23.
Jinx secured these firearms to her belt, and carried the rifle on her back, where, she had easy access to it.

"Dear lord..."
Jinx thought, taking a final breath.
"It's gonna be a long day...."

The Major was sitting next to one of the trucks with supplies, smoking onto a cigarette and breathing it in. He tossed it aside and chuckled some. "Those things are probably gonna kill me before this war does." Before long, he noticed Jinx walking along and picking her weapons. "Well well. Nice to see you here Jinx" he called out, walking over to her and shook her hand. "Glad you could make it...this blasted rain's not gonna stop for this whole operation"

Jinx smiled to Pat. "The rain is nice, it makes great cover as well. Just need to make sure you have the right piolets to fly."
The gauze around her eyes was hidden behind the helmets dark vizor.
"And, no problem Major, glad to help."

"Don't worry about it Jinx. Once the rest of the team gets here, we move out and take the ship down. Let's just hope the CLA is prepared for some covert guys to drop in on them" Pat smirked, loading his MP5 and adjusting the silencer attached so it wouldn't fall off. He was going to enjoy this op - it had been awhile since he had been on a covert operation.

Jeff walks around looking for his commander and wondering where the cargo truck was,"Hmmm...." He said to himself,"I wonder when we will be taking off?" He said walking around.

While the Major was cleaning his weapon, he noticed Jeff and waved him over. "Good to see you soldier. Grab a weapon and load up. We leave in 10". He showed Jeff what weapons they would be using. Nothing much really. The main weapons of choice was either the M4 Carbine or the MP5. Both had silencers attached along with scopes or red laser sights.

Kyle walked out into the open looking around for his team, "Hmm I wonder where they are at." He looked to his east and saw Pat cleaning his gun. "Hey whats up Pat?" said Kyle as he walked over to Pat in his Seal style clothing.

Pat turned around to see Kyle, nodding to him and shook his hand. "Nice to see you made it. Grab a weapon and load up. We leave now in...nine minutes once the choppers get here."

"Yes sir!" Kyle says as he grabs a MP5 and loads a full magizine into it. "What kind of helicopter are we flying?" He says as he opens his bag and loads 30 clips into it and food.

"Two UH-60 Blackhawks." he stated, then pulled out most of the clips until he was only carrying about 6 spare clips of ammo. "We carry light Kyle. Only carry what you can. And don't bother about the food neither" Pat then slapped on a Red laser scope on top of his MP5, checking it to make sure it worked. For himself, he was only carrying about 5 clips of MP5 ammo, along with his Silenced USP and hunting knife too.

The young captain hopped out of a jeep, the water splashing below his black boots. The rain fell like nothing on his gear and he barly noticed his hair was soaked partially. The rest was covered by the mask that he would be donning when the mission began. He already had his weapon slung on his back, an Mp5 with the silencer attached firmly. He hopped out of the jeep, fixing the silencer onto his pistol. It was the last thing he had to do before the mission started. He saw Pat and the others gathering so he felt it best if he joined them. He let out a deep sigh as the cold wind blew on his face, and his breath was clearly visible. Boy would it be a fun night. "Evening Pat, glad to see this finally going down."

Pat soon looked over at his second in command for the mission and smiled, nodding to him while shaking his hand firmly. "Glad you could make it Aust. Got the green light from HQ last night. The helicopters are on the way. They should be here in five minutes or so to take us off. Did you go over the specs of the ship I sent ya?" Pat himself had already looked over the mission - but he always wanted to make sure that his co-commander knew as well.

After being released from the handshake the captain only nodded "I spent most of the night scanning those specs and crew manifests. Hell I know the ship from top to bottom. I may not know whats in all of them, but I do know whats in the ones that matter to us. Even our package. This shouldn't be too hard, especially for a team like ours. We'll be in and out in an hour tops." The captain was confident and knew that this mission was very crucial.

"Very good then..." he started. Before Pat could finish, he already heard the sounds of the UH-60's coming in from the west, preparing to land. "That's them Aust! Better get the teams here ready! We leave in 2!"

Aust could only let out a heavy sigh. Most of his team was not here yet. Only Kyle was here and Darc had yet to report in. He was still holding out for the young Private, knowing this would be his chance to excell in the field, especially with his skills. He would make the Airborne proud with his actions. "Just give my guy another minute. Darc will be here"

"Then tell him he has...100 seconds before we get going. We're not waiting around Aust. We need to move fast" Pat knew they couldn't wait. The ship they were attacking: The Nirmitz, was going to hoist anchor and depart into CLA territory. They needed to strike now before it was too late.

His weapons already prepared, a silenced pistol and suppressed M4 with additional scope. He intended to make his shots count, and kept his clips to a minimum. Taking the liberty of meshing his helmet, and wrapping unneeded portions of the M4 in dull cloth, he pulled at them, still tight. Showing up right on time was something he made a habit of. Waiting around wasn't his favorite activity, they would have enough time to figure things out on the chopper. Darc's rifle strapped across his back, he flipped up his hood under the rain, and flicked away his last cigarette. Nodding to Aust he spoke low, and put his hand on his shoulder,

"Hows the situation comrade..."

Pat soon smiled down at Darc, glad he finally made it. "Well all right! We have everyone here then! Let's move out everyone! Load up!" With that, the Major jumped on the first helicopter for Bravo Team, while the second one would be for Alpha. He pulled his helmet on and lit up a cigarette, knowing this would be a little bit of a long flight. It would take about 20 - 25 minutes before they would reach the ship.

"Good to see you finally made it. Get on board the helicopter and I'll explain on the way there. We got at least a half-hour to burn before we reach there and that will give us plent of time to discuss any final detail." With that, the Captain turned and boarded the Alpha helicopeter and found himself a seat. He kept his weapons holstered and he cluched a celtic cross that hung around his neck. He would need all the help he could get.

Corvius emerged from the cover of the UH-60 Blackhawk. He glanced up at it as he stepped down from the side-door. This was going to be quite an experience. He had never piloted a helicopter before in his entire career at the UGMF. "Well, you gotta start somewhere with new things," he said laughing half in excitement and half in nervousness...

He climbed back into the helicopter and up into the cockpit. He put on his helmet and activated his HUD. He began doing a system check of the helicopter and his Suit's HUD and components. He nodded as things checked out okay and shook his head and fixed things when they did not...

He turned on the UGMF Channel on the helicopter's radio, "Control Tower? What's the weather going to be like? Can we expect rain or what?" he asked after a moment. He would need to calibrate everything now and get ready for whatever was in store for them...

"Faceplate, this is Control. We got some light winds on the seas along with some heavy rain coming down. Just keep it simple and low. Big Bird will be picking up Alpha and Bravo once their objective is complete. You know procedures if you need to bug out. Watch out also for enemy shooters on board the ship. Bravo should be able to take them down and keep high enough for them to get on the ship undetected. Good luck, out"

Soon, the Major turned to his pilot and tapped his shoulder. "All right! We're all set and ready to go! Take us away!" said Pat, smoking his cigarette and checking his equipment again. He would be going over the radio at least once to inform everyone about the mission.

"Roger that, sir," Corvius said leaning forward again and nodding to his co-pilot. Corvius cleared their departure with the Tower and the Ground Crews. The side-doors slid shut and sealed, they would be re-opened when they needed it. Crovius did some last minute checks and gave the okay, a green light flickered in the Transport Hold...

He activated the Turbo-shafts of the great Black Hawk, causing the main rotor to start to spin. Its large metallic surface gleaming in the dim light. Soon, the rotor has enough speed and strength and the helicopter began to lift into the air. After a clearence from the ground of about 16 feet, Corvius angled the nose down and the helicopter began to float through the air off the Landing Pads...

Corvius turned on the cabin and hold speakers and began to speak. "Hello, this is your Captain, Corvius speaking here. We will be taking you on a breif 20-25 minute flight to your intended destination over some stormy waters with a wind speed of about 10 MPH in some heavy rain." His co-pilot smiled at him and shook his head. Corvius continued, "We hope you enjoy your flight and have a wonderful time at your end destination," and with that, he turned off the speakers and turned on his Night Vision Visor...

"Let's hope so on that! We're gonna be going up against some nasty thugs on board that ship" said Pat to Corvius, soon checking over the nautical map, and then began to inform his team. He switched his radio to the rest of the teams on the other chopper, and began his intel.

"Alright team, listen up! The package we're going after is on a medium Russian freighter called the Nirmitz. It's being anchored out in International Waters and this is the perfect time to get down on it. There's a small crew on board of about eight, no more than ten. Along with that is a security detail of about 15 to 20 guards."

"These guys are expected to be carrying AK-47's, Uzi's and some small arms. But don't take them lightly. Bravo team is gonna be the first ones off. Alpha Team does not get the green light until Bravo has cleared the forward deck."

"Once that's done, Alpha and Bravo will converge on the aft deck and take out the men in the bridge too. After that, Alpha team's objective is to clear out the Captain's quarters and recieve intel. Bravo team along with myself will head below deck to secure the 'package'."

"This operation should take no more than 15 minutes gentlemen. Once they figure out that the ship is under attack they'll send someone out to check on it. So keep your eyes peeled and don't give the enemy a break"

"You know the rules of engagement: Crew expendable" With that, Pat shut off his radio, now done talking and decided to finish up on his cigarette.

A second nod to his Captains request, and he was up in the bird, taking his seat near him. Flipping back his hood and fitting his helmet atop his head, Darc shifted his M4 out front. Between breaths of steam he slipped a pair of gloves over the white cloth around his hands. The fingers of the gloves had been cut to match the digits already kept exposed out the wraps. He did this to keep his fingers nimble across the trigger and clip, but for an operation like this he needed to replace their color with black. Dog tags dangling within his shirt, out of view from any light. Deciding to light up another smoke, his lips were already pressed against one. Gas, spark, flame, light. Its gray contents filled his lungs, soothing him with damage.

He nodded but didn't say another word. He peered down at the nautical map. he kept glancing at the map and then frowned after a moment. He spoke to his co-pilot, but, he didn't know either. He kept thinking and then motioned back to Pat for him to come forward...

"Uh, sir? Is this ship docked in a port or open waters? If a port, can we expect not to be seen? If open waters, well, what the heck is it doing anchored in open waters?" He asked after Pat was in ear-shot distance. Corvius quickly looked back to his controls and steadied the helicopter as it picked up speed, they were now approaching 100 MPH. He had to make sure he didn't exceed his VNE...

Pat turned his head over to the pilot, recognizing the question and quickly answered. "We got word from intel that the ship was having engine trouble. That's why it's anchored all the way out here in the ocean in open waters. And don't worry. The sound of the storm will be able to cover our approach. Just keep us steady. Bravo is gonna slide down on the cable to get onto the forward bridge" He soon checked his map. They were only now two minutes away.

"Team! Visual on the target should be coming up alongside at 2 o'clock. ETA is 2 minutes" he said over the radio. Pat soon motioned to the Pilot to open the side doors of the helicopter.

He nodded and fully understood. He glanced over his shoulder and saw the motion to open the side-doors of the helicopter. He reached over and opened a small flap in the instrument panel. Inside, were a few buttons and slids that controlled the side-doors and various other actions that they could perform. He flipped two different buttons, both side-doors unsealed and began to open on both sides. He motioned that the soldiers would have to pull them the rest of the way open...

He glanced at his radar and then out the main window. He saw the ship looming into view. He nodded and turned to his co-pilot. His co-pilot began activating stablizers and sound-buffers. He also prepared the soldiers' rappel ropes. Two boxes could be seen to the side of both side-doors. These boxes now lighted up with a dim, red light. It would change green when Corvius gave the signal...

Soon, the the ship finally came into view. Already they could see the lights on board, not too mention barely anyone on board. With the storm going on, it was no wonder. Pat quickly switched the radio on to the secure channel, and nodded to the pilot. "Faceplate, Bravo Team here. ETA is 60 seconds."

Though they would be roping in second, Darc was poised, ready to go. Unlike most of his team he preferred to keep quiet, speaking only when need be. Licking thumb and pointer he snuffed his stick's ember and slipped it back into the case. The deck of the ship glowed with light against the waters dark depths, and was teemed with shadows cast by massive supply crates. From what he could see they had sufficient cover for the small teams. With their goggles they'd know where each other were, and lines of fire. On that thought he pushed his own into place. Speaking only loud enough for his captain to hear,

"Hope you know this junker well."

"30 Seconds, going in dark". Pat soon put his cigarette out, tossing over the side as he checked his MP5 once more, making sure it was ready and had his gear all set as well. They would be going in dark - unnoticed to the enemy below on the ship. Already, Pat felt extremely nervous about this. However - he was fully prepared along with the rest of his team.

Corvius brought the chopper out of any light shining their way and brought them into the shadows and darkness. Any exterior lights had long been shut off since they had approached the ship. The helicopter was now only about 200 meters from the ship and about 20 above it. He brought it down low and angled back up on the side of the ship...

He motioned to Pat to look where he was pointing. He pointing and indicated on a picture of the ship. He was indicated the front of the ship and in the middle of the cargo boxes. He looked for any sign of disapproval in his Commander's face...

Pat flipped on his night vision, about to turn it on before he looked then back at Corvius. He then pushed his finger on a mark near the front of the ship, right at the bridge. He wanted to be lowered right in front of the ship's bridge windows to take them out quickly. "10 seconds. Check radio for secure channel. Lock and load."

With that, Pat quickly pushed on his night vision goggled, pushing on the gas mask and grabbed the MP5, clutching it into his hands and watched the cable slowly slide down.

The tension in the air was tangible, the cold air seemed to cling to his throat. The men shuffled checking gear, but soon it was quiet enough to hear a heartbeat. And all of theirs pounded in unison. Darc counted the seconds down in his head. The choppers blades muffled, ropes dangling, wind blowing, rain dropping. 9-8-7--Pushed his mask over his mouth--6-5-4

Focus....

The seconds slowly started to tick away as the Black Hawk made it's way right over it's position. Pat clicked the MP5 ready into his gloves, just waiting for the green light to appear. And then - there would be no turning back.

Corvius nodded, not detered at the rejection of his proposal. He brought the helicopter up as close above the front brdige as he could manage. His co-pilot activated a wind-index buffer to stablize the helicopter aganist the frierce wind drafts that plague ships' decks out in open sea. The helicopter steadied itself further as Corvius decreased the speed of the rotor but increased the torqe...

He waited until the cables had hit the deck. Once they had, he turned and nodded to Pat. He reached over and flipped at switch. In response, the red dim light on the Cable Boxes changed to a dim green light, indicating that they were now clear to descend. Corvius sighed nerviously and activated the UGMF Radio Channel. He secured it and placed it on an alternating Frequency with a static-feed background similar to the sounds of waves crashing on a ship's side/ This was to keep anyone on the bridge that might stumble upon their channel, would only here crashing waves, and not think that a secured channel was actually running in the background...
"Green light! GO GO GO!" The Major quickly grabbed a hold of the cable, and began his decent down onto the Bridge deck. His MP5 was tied up to his waist, his pistol at side and his knife at his ankle. Within seconds, his feet touched onto the metal and the mission had begun. He quickly ducked back and down, watching the rest of his team make their decent onto the deck and then peered up into the bridge.

There were about 5-6 men inside, carrying no weapons but probably had side-arms on them. Even if they were un-armed - crew was expendable and not taken alive. Then, Pat nodded to his crew, clicking the safety off and stood up. "Weapons free"

With that, Pat quickly aimed up at the men inside, and opened up. He squeezed the trigger of his MP5, shooting the silenced rounds quickly and silently into the bridge.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The men on board didn't know what hit them until it was all over. The quick barrage of gunfire took down every single last one of the crew inside the deck. "Bridge is secure. Hold fire." With that, Pat quickly made sure he let Alpha team know. "Aust, stay in the bird until we've secure the forward deck, over"

Corvius counted the men that went down the rappel rope. When the last one touched the deck, now was the time for fast acting. He quickly re-hit the Cable Box buttons. The cables were immediately pulled up and secured in their cases. The rotor instantly began speeding up and losing torqe. He angled the nose up and to the right, casuing the helicopter to fly to the back and to the left...

Once he was clear of the bridge he flew back the way he came until he wasn't above the ship, he dropped altitude and descended past the edge of the ship. He angled forward and began to fly around the side of the perimeter of the ship. "This is Corvius over UGMF Secure Channel, I am now making my runs around the ship. Contact for EVAC or Weapons Assisstance"...

"Copy that Faceplate. Bug out if you're low on fuel. Squad, on me" Quietly, Pat made his way over to the bridge door, slamming it open with a kick and his team slowly surged inside.

"Squad, let's move. Stick close and check corners" All the men in Alpha team along with the Helicopters would be able to hear is just the main radio going off. They wouldn't hear shots or anything. They wouldn't even know if they were in trouble or not or be able to see them. All they had were the radios - and that was nerve wracking enough.

"Stairway clear. Move up" Pat's men swiftly moved forward down the steps, checking the hallway. Suddenly, he nodded them back. A drunken sailor was walking around, talking in a slurred Russian. "Last call..." he whispered, aiming his MP5 up and pulled the trigger with only two bullets shooting out to take the man down.

------------------------------------------------------

Once again, Pat was aiming good tonight. The bullets hit straight through his head, taking him down instantly. "Hallway - clear". He moved up closely to a small room, peering his head inside. Two men were sleeping in their berths. He knew this would become a problem too. "Hold up...we got two sleepers inside the bunk."

Pat put his MP5 around his neck with the strap, pulling out his USP and pulling back the trigger. He very slowly made his way inside. With the storm outside and the wind blowing the two men sleeping wouldn't hear a thing. Also, near the bed was a AK-47. That was the last thing Pat wanted. He aimed, and took two shots, one for each man.

-----------------------------------------------------

Both men got shot badly and wounded, but one managed to fall out of the bed, trying to grab something. Pat quickly ran up to him, kicking him in the face and then knocking out the other one. "Sweet dreams...Crew Quarters clear. Move up". Pat holstered his USP now, pulling back out his MP5 and checked the ammo.

"Forward Deck Secure. Green Light on Alpha Team. Go" Alpha Team was now able to land on deck as Pat made his way outside on deck, with the rain blowing in his face. He made his way to the top deck near the containers, motioning his men to take cover while they covered Alpha's decent.

Alphas collective unease filled the air. He didn't enjoy the radio silence, and waited patiently for their signal to be dropped. Not a second longer than needed he'd hoped. Popping the M4's clip he ran its top edge across his glove, wiping the rainfall clean. With a snap it was returned and a bullet loaded. Brining the red lens sight to his eye, the image inside slightly distorted due to the distance from the scope itself. The tension was near unbearable. Just then the radio crackled to life,

"Forward Deck Secure. Green Light on Alpha Team. Go"

He motioned to the pilot, even though he knew the man heard it, ready to make the drop in and join the fight.

Jeff landed on the deck with Beta team and secured the deck with them, too. Jeff ran over and kneeled beside a container motioning for Alpha team to hurry up,"Come on, guys. We need to get moving."He yelled over the noise coming from the helicopters propellers as he held his MP5 against his chest ready for anything to come out after him.

Pat looked over at his team member Jeff, nodding to him and patted his shoulder gently. "Easy Jeff...no need to get excited. This should be a piece of cake." The easy part was halfway done - they still needed to eliminate the rest of the guards. All of them were heavily armed with AK-47's and Uzi's - better than what the crew was equipped with.

"Faceplate - this is Bravo team. Waiting for Alpha to land, over

Corvius heard the signal from Pat, even if it did get to him a little late. He nodded to his co-pilot and they began a re-ascent. When they reached the front of the ship, they were already deck-level with it. They angled back around and arrived back at their original point of insertion for Team Bravo. This time, it was Team Alpha's turn...

They went through the same procedure as before. But, this time, the wind had picked up. This forced them to descend closer to the deck of the front bridge. However, it was much safer by the time for rappeling began. Once again, Corvius hit the switch and the green light went on...

"Bravo team this is Alpha, glad to hear you got things cleared up down there. Just hold your current position until we drop in. Once we drop, be sure to meet up by hatch 3 so we can proceed into the lower levels of the ship." He turned away from the radio and turned to his small team. "Alright boys, masks down, weapons out. We're dropping in. I'll see you on the ship." With that, he grasped the rope and slid down, hitting the floor of the deck hard. He awaited the rest of his team to do the same.

Jeff saw Aust land and he spoke into the radio built into their masks,"Nice to finally see you, Aust. When will the rest of your crew be down?"He asked as he was still armed and covering for Alpha team behind a large container.

Dull metal rushed to meet his feet, black rope gliding through his hands. A low thud signaling his descent was over. Just as he stepped away, the next soldier was hitting the deck. Darc kept low, sticking near his captain, M4 in front, covering his back. The rain was heavy now, beating against the group of mere shadows. He was ready to do what he had to. And it required taking lives.

Folly and glory....

Pat soon looked as Alpha team finally had managed to land on top deck. He nodded to Aust and looked down the ship, towards stern. "Alright team. Fan out - three meter spread and watch for enemy movement" With that, Pat started to move forward quietly and with ease, aiming his MP5 down the sights the entire time and finger at the ready. He was prepared to shoot at anything that moved in front of him - and was shooting back at him as well.

As he inched forward, he noticed the second bridge - with several guards on top. "We've got company on the 2nd floor. Darc - you're the sniper in Alpha. Take the first one out and we'll get the rest" he stated on the radio quietly, hiding behind a container with now a flashbang in hand.
Corvius turned to his co-pilot and nodded. The co-pilot began deactivating the Cable Boxes and closing the slide doors right after the last Soldier in Alpha hit the deck. Suddenly, a large wind gust picked up and battered against the side of the helicopter. Corvius held it steady, however, and began to slowly turn around to fly back below the side of the ship...

But, that would never happen. Another wind gust picked up and this time, Corvius couldn't respond quick enough to stop. The wind gust caught the helicopter and pushed it backwards as if it was a rag-doll. The tail of the helicopter barely misses the front Bridge's roof. Corvius was able to raise the helicopter to avoid it, but, he couldn't avoid the upper levels and the giant smoke-stack above them...

The draft carried them right into it. The force of the impact crushing the tail of the helicopter and twisting it into a pulp. Next, came the rest of the copter. Corvius yelled out angrily as he desperately tried the control the damaged wreck. But, that wouldn't happen. The main rotor clipped the smoke-stack, slicing into the metal structure, but suddenly, one of the rotors got caught in it and was yanked out of the blade motor. The helicopter fell as it flew away in the ensuing explosion from the blade motor. The copter flew away from the ship and crashed in a great wave into the ocean...

The radio went silent on Corvius's end...

Just as Pat was about to move forward, he watched as the Blackhawk got caught in the gust of wind, whipped around like a leaf and then smashing into the ocean. However, the men inside the bridge still didn't hear a thing or notice. "Damn it...Faceplate, come in..." he replied on the radio to Corvius. No response. "Faceplate, this is Bravo, come in!" Still no response. "Damn...4-2, this is Bravo. Faceplate has hit the water and bugged out. Requesting immideate rescue"

"Bravo this is 4-2. Be advised your detection will be noticed if we send rescue for Faceplate"

"Understood. Send rescue chopper immideatly. We'll be standing by" With that, Pat turned his attention back to Darc. "Darc, take the shots and kill those four men fast! We can't allow them to detect us on board and notice the chopper. Hurry up. You only have 30 seconds"

Already aiming at the men he was jerked away by a rip of metal on metal. A stream of information being poured into a radio. None sounding good. Within seconds he realized they would have heard it. Forcing himself not to look he turned his sights back towards the bridge. Two were already looking off into the water, one had his lips raised to a radio. There. Darc held his breath, slowed his heart, and fired twice. Without seeing if the enemy was down he whipped his M4 right and fired off 6 rounds. Two for each target standing.

"I suggest we move."

Pat soon watched the men get shot down quickly, each one unable to scream out for help and he nodded over to Darc. "All units, move! Coast Guard will rescue Corvius and the co-pilot. Alpha team, head for the bridge. The rest of you, on me" With that, He quickly rushed forward. The men up on the 2nd floor were either dead or wounded, with no chance of them being able to do anything for now. He held tightly onto the MP5 and reached the hatch door.

It... felt.. strange... That was all he could think at the moment. He couldn't feel any part of his body. There was a warm sensation over his entire body, yet, it was below freezing. St-strange, he thought, more likely, shivered. He couldn't move any part of his body, no matter how hard he tried. His body members just would not move...

It felt like, a painful numbing sensation over his entire body. His heart rate quickened as a pulse of pain went through his body. His hands clenched, if they truely did or if it was just his mind playing tricks, he could not tell. His pupils dilated, but he could not see. Only, blackness. Blackness that enveloped everything around. Everything, except the pungent smell of burning flesh and gasoline. He tried to breath, but felt he could not. Yet, he was still alive...

Curious, he wondered. How can a being... ... breathe, without breathing? The thought frightened him. Suddenly, memories flashed into his mind, memories of good and of bad, memories of pain and happiness, memories of joy and fear, all contrasting the one before. As the memories came, so did the faces, faces of people he should have known, yet, he could not call upon the names of which he saw...

He saw, a wonderous wedding with a beautiful bride and a gruff, but joyous groom. He saw, a plague outside an Marine Commander's Office. He saw, a joyous man as he gained a promotion to Sergeant only days after enlisting. He saw, the same eager man, getting promoted to Captain and becoming a member of the Air Force. Then, he saw a horrible gaint burning fireball, its flames licking hungerily at the sky. He saw, a great flying monster, something of demon origin as it attacked Fighter and Bomber planes belonging to a group called, The UGMF. Then he saw, he saw!...

Nothing...

Before long, just a bit aways from where Corvius's chopper crashed into the waves, another UH-60 Blackhawk with Coast Guard on it slowly made it's way right above the crash. One rescue worker slowly slid down the cable, reaching to the cockpit quickly as the waves extinguished the fire very quickly.

Soon, the rescuer smashed the door open quickly, avoiding the waves and needed to get Corvius out of there before the helicopter sunk into the depths. Before long, the rescuer reached out his hand to Corvius's, trying to grab his as he was unbuckling the safety belt too.
