User ImageSitting under the shade of a palm tree on the edge of the beach, Midea watched a small red crab as it sculled sideways across the white sand, and toward a small hole in the ground. As she waited for the right moment to grab herself her small seafood snack, she decided to inch closer and closer to make sure that she was close enough to grab it when she got the chance.

As the crab tried to push into the whole Midea quickly pounced on it try to avoid the claws that would inflict the short burst of pain. Pawing at it she finally got it to turn over on its back, as the crab tried to turn itself over Midea reached down to grab it between her teeth. Just as she grabbed it though she forgot about the claws she had been worried about and yowled a small yowl of pain, because the son of a bugger had pinched her on her nose. "Get off," she hissed at her meal in shock and aggravation.

Axeralexis was walking along the beach, his mind preoccupied by another situation. He had also been trying to avoid stepping on seashells, but had been having no luck, so he'd have to walk a tiny ways into the water every once in a while to wash away bits and pieces of random shells. Being brought out of his world of ever-confusing thoughts, he looked up, hearing a howl. What in the world could that be? he asked himself, breaking into a smooth trot to find the source of the noise.

It took him a few minutes of random searching, but eventually he found it--another Sitara and a crab. Quickly evaluating the scene, Axeralexis smirked and shook his head. Interesting, he thought before swiftly stalking toward the other Sitara. "Would you like some help?" he quietly offered once he made his way to her. "Get off of her, you little animal," he added in a mutter, wrapping his tail around the crab and attempting to pull it off the girls nose as gently as possible. "Sorry if this hurts," he apologized with a slight smile as he suddenly yanked, hoping the crab would finally come off.

Midea nodded and muttered a pathetic sounding “yes” in response to the helpful Sitara as he offered to help her remove her little friend. She knew sweet talking or demanding the little creature to let go was not going to work, so she was curious to see how he was going to help her.

When she saw him suddenly curl his tail around the small crab’s body she knew there would be hell to be paid, because of her little snack attack. Gritting her teeth to keep her from letting out a small crso she wouldn’t let out a small cry of pain, she tried to sink her claws into the soft sandy ground, so that she could pull one way as he pulled another. When she though the crab would never let go she felt him release and watched as the crab tried to escape his new predicament. “Thanks for the help,” Midea mewed as she rubbed her sore nose with her paw, and let a small smile. “I think that one got the better of me this time.”

Axeralexis smiled at Midea. "Sometimes nature does things that we don't want it to do. It happens to everyone, not just you," he said as he gently ran his tail over Midea's nose. "Did it hurt that bad?" he asked as he watched the crab scurry off. "I tried to be as gentle as possible. My name is Axeralexis by the way," he added., He noticed Midea's claws in the sand. "And you can ease up now, the crab's gone. Is there anything else you need help with? Catvhing another snack, perhaps? Maybe you outta give up for a few minutes--that nose of your5s couls use a break," he joked with a laugh.

"You got that right, I guess today was nature’s day for getting me,” said Midea as she loosened her hold on the sand since the crab was no longer hanging on to her for dear life. “Nah it did not hurt that much, it was more of a shock kind of pain; the kind of pain that you weren’t expecting, but knew it was possible and then it happens and you are just kind of like, oh my goodness. I think it might have been worse if you didn’t show up, ‘cause that crab did not seem to want to let go. By the way thank you again, Axeralexis.”

Midea playfully swatted Axeralexis’ tail as it rubbed her nose. “My name is Midea,” she said as glanced over a the crab as it scuttled away and into its hole in the ground. I guess that means I going fishing then for lunch.”

Axeralexis laughed at her as Midea swattered at his tail."Midea? Well, you're welcome, Midea, and it's nice to meet you. What's wrong with fishing?" he asked with a smile, looking out at the ocean. "Fish are a lot less mean than crabs are--well, for felines, anyway. I suppose we have a natural talent with sea creatures," he said, looking back at her. "Don't think of what could have been--think about what was. Thinking of alternatives could distract you from something one of these days. Would you like me to join your fishing trip? You don't know when I might come in handy again," he challenged playfully with another laugh. "Fish are more fun to catch in my opinion, anyway."

“Oh. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fishing, I was just hoping that I would be able to have something a bit, a bit different today in the seafood category,” she said as she followed Axeralexis’ gaze toward the ocean. “Yeah, you have a point about fish being less mean, but sometimes it is fun to let those guys nibble on you, ‘cause it doesn’t hurt, but tickles. I guess fish would have to my favorite water creature.”

Midea looked at Axeralexis as he went into what sounded like a philosophical wandering, and just stood there trying to catch each and every word. “Well, that crab was something else, even though he left my nose a little sore it was kind of fun,” Midea said a wee bit sarcastically. “And, yes I think it would be very nice of you to join me on my little fishing trip, the more the merrier. And I’ll thank you once again for your help with a delicious fish.”

"Different is scary sometimes," Axeralexis said with another smile, watching Midea. "Aww..Poor Midea's nose," he added with a quiet laugh, running his tail across her face again. "If you really hate pain that much, never touch crabs again--it could get worse than that. Adventures can prove to be pains--but if you don't mind pains, then maybe you'd like to go after another crab?" he offered with a smirk, wondering what kind of reaction it would get out of her. "After all, you seem to adore new things."
