Well, most of our fundraisers or for our trips, so it's really only our loss... But loads of people do it for the flying slingshot animals that make noise... xd

Our band does one fundraiser every year, the Band Carwash. We always have over 150 kids in our band, so raising a load of money doesn't take long, cause we do pledges. One girl got $1000 by herself.
People from all over Arlington come every year. THe local Flower Shop even brings in all of it's delivery vans.
And it's loads of fun, even when it rains. I love going. This year, we all went to a movie afterwards.

The last fundraiser we had was something akin to the chocolate-selling usual, except we sold... mini pizzas. xD
I bought a lot for myself. They're delicious.

There's a few kids in my band who manage to make a couple hundred per fundraiser but no one else really tries. I don't do anything except for like our spaghetti feed and dessert auction.

It really sucks to organize them when no one participates...
I myself alone have raised around 1,200 dollars for the band.

Well, I don't really participate... mostly because I'm overly shy and a bit anti social [in real life, lawl]. sweatdrop But I probably should, because our band trips are... expensive. And the orchestra and band alternate every other year, so the trips are probably better that they would be.... ... Did that make sense? D:

I heard last year we had a playathon. I'm so jealous, because I heard it was amazing. (My section played N64 in the tuba room when they weren't playing...) But I wasn't in CB1 or Symphonic last year. Dang Cb2, it always sucked. Mostly, we just sell stuff. Like Nutty Pleasures. (D has to make a joke about those every year...xD;;; )
Those fundrasiers are good though. They paid for new concert tuxes, new concert dresses, new marching uniforms, and our new solid brass sousaphones. =D

I never participate in fundraisers until this year. This year I joined band and they have this fundraiser and even though it's not manditory our band teacher (director) kind of makes us feel guilty if we don't. he always talks about how we entered for free and this money if to pay for new instruments etc. He passes out papers saying each of us have to sell 20 tickets for $40 and none of my family members really do this stuff..neither do my friends...so it's kind of annoying.
