Dinner at Paro's Place
(( Paroparo is Jayoku's and the RPG was done on MSN ))
A sing song hum filled the air was a small Fae twittered about in the kitchen trying to get last minute things cut up and prepared before his guest arrived. He had been so relieved that there had been no sign of his brother that he had called Carys quickly and invited him over to his place.
So he then went out shopped and been to prepare. He himself was not a big meat eater, but now he had a big juicy steak prepared for Carys sitting in the fridge marinating. He figured being part dragon he would enjoy steak. He had stuffed potato's wrapped in foils in the oven already and was sprinkling cinnamon and an apple pie he was just finishing up. Once the potato's were done he would toss in the pie. So pleased with himself he didn't at all seem uneasy. Perhaps because he was on his own turf and thus comfortable there. He wore baggy silk pants and a low cup rather revealing blouse, not that he had much to reveal....but a pink apron was tied around his waste with the words 'Kiss the Cook' scrawled across it with a pair of giant lips in the corner. He thought it had been cute, his co-workers had bought it form him. Wiping the counter of the pile of flour he glanced at the clock. Eager and impatient for his quest to arrive.
Carys was smiling, delighted with the idea of another date with the Fae. Things seemed to be going quite well aside from a few strange spots here and there, he had worried for a moment still worried a little bit that there might be problems with Paroparo's brother but he was sure they would come to that point and cross it when they were ready.
His hand went to his pocket, checking to make sure the item was still there and safe before he walked to the door of Paro's place. He lifted a hand up and knocked on the door. He wondered if he should tell Paro that he'd found his missing clothing... probably not given that it had been a bit torn up, probably out of their haste... he would buy himself nice later to make up for it.
Paro delightfully coo'd as he hurried up his cleaning of the counter disposed of the rag into the wash bin and then hurried to the door. He opened it his round face looking up his eyes shining happily at the other.
"Welcome!" He managed to squeak out happily moving so that the other could walk inside. THe house...was BRIGHT. It was like it popped out of a fairy tale; no pun intended. Everything was a brilliant shade of color never the same twice. And white drapes that resembled icing sugar framed each window. And there were..jars....lots of varying sizes of clear glass jars with candy in each on. t was like stepping into the gingerbread house....with the wicked witch waiting for Hansel and Gretal to eat them.
Flour spots still dusted his cheek as he looked up at the dragon. He had in his hurry forgotten to take off his apron. The half dragon paused a step inside the place finding himself a bit frozen, pinned by the rainbow of colors suddenly surrounding him... he tilted his head to the side as he took it all in before looking at the Fae, "Its very... colorful in here." He said at long last, then gave a soft laugh, "Mmm, nice apron. It suits you." It looked nice on the Fae, so did that little bit of flour he wore like a pale sort of make up.
The scents in the air were rather nice, had him sniffing at them curious as to what the Fae was cooking.
His face blushed a bit at the comment about the flour and using his sleeve when about to wipe it off..
"Ahaha you like it? I love colors, it always brightens my mood." He replied in a sing song voice. He was..very happy at the moment, that much was obvious.
"Y..you know the apron is an open invitation." He teased a moment before he skipped forward into the house.
"I took a wild guess and figured you liked steak. So i got a couple and some potatoes." He continued happily babbling as he moved forward into the bright toothache of a home. The half dragon stepped out of his shoes and shrugged off his coat, "A good guess on your part, I love steak." He said, better that he eat steak and not Fae he thought with a bit of a grin. He set his things aside before he followed after the Fae through the rainbow wonderland that was his place. It actually... wasn't that much different from his place only he liked darker colors more, gold, and things that sparkled in the light.
"Though... I have to say I love that apron more at the moment." Open invitation, huh? He couldn't help put purr at that.
Giving a tinkling laugh he spun gracefully around his hair flowed about his head, a fresh scent like a creamsicle wafting from him. He apparently liked sweet smelling body wash too.
"Glad you do! my co-workers bought it for me!" He gave a giggle too high on the fact that Carys was here in his home...he was nearly giddy.
"Now you just need to tell me how you want your steak done. Still mooing?" he teased.
He lifted his hands up to clap as he did the spin, "Very nice." He said with a grin, finding the sweet smell that clung to him to be quite alluring even if it weren't meant to be. He shook his head, he'd just got here... now was not the time to go pouncing on him.
"Yeah, that's the best way to eat it." He said with a grin moving a step closer to the Fae to lift a hand to run his fingers through his hair.
Shivering at the touch he only looked more pleased at the petting.
"Mooing it is. I hope you don't mind i prefer mine quite dead." He laughed meaning so well done it was like leather.
He went to undo his apron as he didn't really need it any longer.
"OH you want me to show you around?" he asked happily as he struggled with the tied apron.
The half dragon gave a nod, "Sure, I'd like to see more of your place." He was curious if every room was as brightly colored as the one he'd come into. That and seeing more of the place would help him to learn more about the Fae. Maybe he would be lucky enough to see a picture of the scary older brother that Paro was so worried about as well.
Paro gave a happy sound finally getting the apron removed he placed it on the back of a kitchen chair and then ...after a moments hesitation took the half dragons hand. He led him from the kitchen to his family room. Everything really did look like a doll house. Small comfy and bright. He continued to show Carys everything in his home, the bathroom although white had brightly colored wall decals as well towels. Nothing...seemed normal there weren't any pictures in the house hold either. Soon though he showed Carys his bed room. It was a small room that barely seemed to contain the double bed there. It may even of been a tight fit in the living room...the house was small but crammed full of bright love. He didn't even pause on the thought that the bed was much too small for Carys. his mind was else where making mindless chatter about certain things he had collected and he even released his hand once to retrieve his most prized possession. A small reed flute he offered it to Carys his face beaming with pride.
"I made it. Ura showed he how." He explained it was the first time he had mentioned his brother...but where in this small house could he possible live in? there was no evidence that someone else lived with him. Carys took everything in as they look around, such bright colors a rainbow everywhere. Even the bathroom was pretty colored the lack of things like pictures made him feel more and more like he were in some warped, Candyland version of him own place. He paused to look at Paro's little bed and gave a bit of a grin... somehow he found himself thinking that it wouldn't work to well for them.
They wouldn't be able to fit comfortably.
His mind went from looking at that to going to the flute and his eyes went wide and looked... a little startled before he made himself relax, "Its very nice." He murmured, he liked the flute because it was pretty, liked music, but certain types like that sort, airy sounds always seemed to put him in a bit of a trance, made him sleepy and content in a manner that made him vulnerable...
He lifted a hand to his chest, drawing in a breath to steady his racing heart. He didn't have to worry, he doubted highly that someone like Paro would take advantage of such a weakness.
Paro only continued to beam happily at the praise much like a happy child who was showinng his report card. he then took Carys hand again and placed the flute back on the dresser and moved them out of the bed room.
"Maybe I can play for you later." He chirped leading hims back to the kitchen where looking at the time he gave a startled Oh! Meaning he was delayed a bit in the cooking.
"Sit down I will get the steaks started." He laughed as he dropped the man's large hand and went to the fridge to remove the meat. There was one very large steak, and a much much smaller one beside it. He moved to the kitchen table and placed them on a platter before he went to find his stove bbq. He was quite and everything was hie size here. So the half dragon may find the chairs a bit too small for him.
"I hope you like apple pie!" he called from over his shoulder as he started the bbq and waited for it to heat. He then went and removed the potatoes carefully from the over and turning down the head put the pie in. If the timing was right they would start smelling it by the time they were done dinner.
"Ah... sure, I would like that." He murmured, the sound would make him sleepy and content but around the Fae he would be fine. He didn't have to worry about him causing him any harm, he didn't have that sort of thing to him, "Are you sure you don't need any help?"
He wanted to help out if he could be of use to the Fae, a little worried to sit down on the little chairs... he might break it if he weren't careful.
"Apple pie? That sounds good." He murmured, giving a little grin, "Fresh baked I am guessing from the flour you were wearing?
A small tinkling laugh came from the Fae as Carys mentioned the flour.
"That's right! How insightful you are!" he chimed as he unrolled the potato and placed them on another plate and then placed his steak on the now ready bbq. It sizzled and popped, he waited a couple of seconds before placing Carys in. he knew he would want it rare...extremely. And his own was so small it wouldn't take long to cook. Soon the smell of teriyaki steak filled the kitchen. And already the Fae was hurriedly taking the meat from the hot surface.
"No no I am good." He called back as he then carried the plates containing the meat tot he table sliding the one in front of where Carys was standing...wondering why he was still standing and then put his down. After a moment he rushed to grab the potatoes and then went to grab the condiments for them, sour cream chives...bacon bits cheese the works. After he was finished he beamed to Carys. "Oh! You want something to drink?" He inquired like a host should. The half dragon slid into the seat carefully so as to test the seat and how strong it was before looking over at him, "Drink?" He asked, curious as to what he might mean. What was he offering for a drink? He hoped that it wasn't wine, not that it wasn't good but he would have rather been able to remember all of what the two of them had done instead of some of it being hazy from the wine.
"well I have all sorts of things! Juice! Or milk? I got a couple of coolers too..." He mentioned the last slowly he too remember the effect alcohol had on them both. But coolers weren't really strong enough to do much unless you drank the whole case. And he only happened to have three in the fridge.
"Anything you want I can give it to you. Or try." He laughed. Carys gave a grin, "There is a pleasant offer." He told the Fae, "For now just milk though, maybe something sweeter later." He was thinking on that scent of cream soap that the Fae gave off when he said this. He looked down at the food that was sitting in front of him doing his best not to drool as he starred at it... but wasn't going to eat until the Fae sat down with him.
twittering off the far danced his way to the kitchen and finding his biggest mug poured the mild for him. He then came back and handed it to him before going to sit himself. not liking where he was sitting he focused his spot closer to Carys. His toes reaching out to wiggle against Carys leg innocently.
"Dig in!" he chirped happily. The dragon nodded, pausing as he felt the Fae's toes moving along his leg and gave a little grin at the feeling, "Mmmm... thank you." He said before he dug into his meal, savoring the taste of the barely cooked meat. Just enough to heat it up was all that it really needed. He had a strong stomach so he could eat a raw meat if he wanted to... but he was a little more civilized then that.
Paro watched as the other ate, and once convinced he was pleased he then started to eat his own. He didn't eat much of it. The tiny steak he had was only half finished once he moved to the potato. He wasn't a fan of meat. It just tasted wrong to him. But he was pleased to see Carys happy and he tickled his toes against Carys leg again. The half dragon paused with his fork halfway to his mouth and looked over at the Fae again, giving a little grin. He was in an affectionate mood wasn't he? He was glad they had decided to eat in today instead of going out like they had been planning on doing to begin with. Much more private eating like this.
He seemed to speed up his eating a bit more, hoping to finish it off quickly so they could talk some more, be closer then this, and so he could give the gift to Paro that he'd brought him.
Paro muffled a laugh watching Carys shove the food in like it was his last meal. "remember the pie!" he gave a giggling laugh as he leaned on the table watching Carys eat. happy and glowing with the fact that the half dragon was enjoying the meal. Subconsciously wondering if he was just making sure the dragon was full so there was no risk of being eaten later. He gave a nod, "Mmm, I remember it." He said between bites and soon enough he had the plate cleaned, nearly spotless. He sat back in the chair carefully, "Mmm... that was really good." He all but purred, looking like a very content dragon in that moment.
Paro looked happy and then went about clearing the plates he checked on the pie but it wasn't ready yet..the meal had been a lot faster than he thought.
"Well how about we go into the living room until the pie is ready?" He offered the idea so that perhaps he would get a chance to talk to Carys some more. He felt a bit stupid from their last date..and his over-reaction to his brother finding out. He nodded, rising to his feet and pushed the chair in, glad that he hadn't broken it. He watched as he cleared the table and he moved over to sit down on the fluffy, bright colored couch. He shifted on it and then leaned back against it. It was quite comfortable.
Paro went to sit on the cushion beside the half dragon but found that the other larger man made it more like he was sliding down the side of a mountain until his small body was wedged between cushion and man. He...didn't mind so much. he only hope Carys didn't mind either.
He snuggled against the mans shoulder happily, "I am glad you enjoyed it. I love cooking for people." He murmured .
Carys watched as the Fae slid agaisnt him and he wrapped an arm around him, pulling Paroparo into lap to snuggle against him, "Oh yes, your a wonderful cook." He murmured, pressing a kiss to the side of the Fae's neck before just relaxing.
He hadn't expected the kiss, and he felt himself shiver, but he was happy. Right now he doubted he would care if Carys did want to eat him.
"I am really happy you liked it. I should cook for you more often." He offered as he often was home alone like this anyway. He leaned his head against his shoulder and gave a happy sigh. "W..when do you think i should meet your mom?" he inquired softly. the idea of meeting parents still a scary thought.
"I would like that a lot though I might end up getting chubby if I eat to much of your wonderful cooking." He murmured, his arm moving to rest around the Fae's waist. He paused at the question, sticking his tongue out at Paroparo, "Ahh... that's a good question, any time your feeling up to it I can call her an arrange something." He said, finding talk of his Mom cool his head a bit, hard to think on flirting and loving on your boyfriend when that was the topic of conversation...
He nodded his head burrowing his face in the larger mans arm. He liked being held like that, it was oddly comforting.
"O..okay then." He replied his heart starting to twitter around in his chest as he realized how warm Carys was. He... draped a leg over Carys, he loved the warm. Carys let his eyes sink half closed as he held the Fae close, nuzzling against his neck, "You smell nice, smell sweet." He told him, half tempted to press a kiss to his neck to see if he tasted as sweet though he didn't want to scare the Fae or make him think he was planning on eating him.
He gave a drowsy giggle of his own. "You like? its creamsicle body wash." He replied as if that should of been common knowledge. He giggled again somehow Carys seemed too big for him home, but it just made him feel more comfortable for him. He leaned his head away revealing his neck in a teasing manner as he reached for a pillow so he could prop himself up better. "Its a really nice scent on you." The half dragon was more then happy enough to lounge with the Fae, snuggling and relaxing with him. His arms were full of Fae and his belly was full of a good meal... there was no way to make this night any better... aside from maybe the pie. He wasn't about to let Paroparo wander off to get that quite yet though.
Paro used the pillow to prop himself up and then looked back to Carys who looked so content. Strangely happy and yet wanting more...but he couldn't think of anything to say. He was afraid to ruining the moment. SO instead he leaned in and brushed his lips across Carys's arm. Carys smiled a bit, leaning over to steal a kiss from the Fae, "Mmm, this is nice." He murmured, moving his hand to stroke his finger tips along Paroparo's arm. As he did so his other hand went to his pocket and he drew out a black jewelry box on the Fae's chest, "I found something that I thought you might like."
Paro always found his breath stolen away when Carys kissed him like that, and it took him a moment to regain the knowledge on how to breath. Suddenly his gaze was on the box, his face went several shades of pink.
"...R..really?" He inquired, wondering what it could be and yet nervous at the same time.
He nodded, "Yes, it had your name almost written next to it." He said with a laugh, he'd been doing what he often did, stalking the jewelry stores for rare or interesting things that ran along the lines of what he enjoyed and collected when he saw something it. A sugar cube necklace, a pretty cube shaped gem on a silver chain. Taking the box with a trembling hand he ran his fingers over it a moment before finally daring to open it. He was...surprised...pleasantly surprised to see the little blue sparkling cube like gem his eyes widened his mouth dropping in awe.
"t..this mu.must of cost a fortune!" he gaped not sure what else to say and feeling undeserving of such a gift.
"You shouldn't worry about the price since its a gift. Do you like it?" He asked, sounding a little unsure wondering if maybe it were the wrong color perhaps.
Paro only nodded his head numbly, he had never gotten such an expensive gift before. With trembling fingers he reached for it and tried to undo the clasp. Failing after a moment he offered the necklace to the half dragon with a smal apologetic smile. "C..can you put it on me?" he inquired softly. Carys nodded, shifted so that he could take it from him, putting it around Paro's throat and closed the clasp and let it fall into place, "There you go." He murmured, looking it over then smiled. It looked nice on him, standing out since it was a bright blue and Paro's hair was very purple, "Mmm, nice." A pretty Fae in his arms with a pretty jewel on, it made the dragon in him quite happy.
Paro blushed and then fidgeted on the spot, he couldn't even picture himself wearing expensive jewelery, but not he just threw his arms around Carys neck and hugged him. "thank you! No one has even given me something like this!' He nearly bawled. He was so happy so very happy. He would forget his fears for the moment forget why he had been nervous and terrified at the beginning at this point he would do just about anything for the dragon. He released his hug after a moment and then his face still blushing he went to kiss him on the lips.
Carys gave a sound of surprise when Paro was suddenly wrapped around him, sounding almost as though he could cry. He wrapped his arms around him, holding him close, "Your very much welcome." He murmured, snuggling him close and returned his kisses.
The half dragon felt relief spread through his form at the thanks, good... good he like it, really liked it.
Paro was so very happy, sitting in Carys lap, getting presents and kisses. It was like nothing could ruin this ...

Brother Troubles
(( Paroparo & Usa are Jayoku's and the RPG was done on MSN ))
He went rigid. That was the front door....oh no. He tried to get off of Carys lap frantically but it was too late. A low amused laugh filled the room and his dark green haired brother was leaning against the arch with a bemused smile on his face.
"Hmmm my timing seems to have been...too perfect." He teased. Paro's face went beat red. Carys felt a sudden, protective feeling rise in him as he sat forward at the appearance of the new person... then forced himself to relaxed a bit. He'd guess that this was the brother from the teasing tone he took and Paro talking about how he didn't want to face the teasing. As a reaction to this train of thought his arms tightened ever so slightly around Paro and he forced a smile, "Good evening." He greeted the green haired man.
Paro didn't look like he knew how to respond only giving his brother an little bit of a wave before suddenly finding himself drawn closer to Carys. Ura noticed this too his expression was smug.
"Hmmm so I interrupted dinner it seems. " He mused as he strode in closer as if wanting a better look. He was taller than Paro probably by a head but still shorter than Carys by a lot. Carys drew in a steadying breath before he gave a nod, "No, dinner is over so you didn't interrupt out meal." Though to say he wasn't interrupting in general wasn't exactly the truth was it? He released his grasp on Paro so as not to make the current situation worse, at least Usa didn't seem merciless in his teasing as his lover had made it sound like he would. He had just shown up so though.
"Well I see i interrupted something, perhaps a after dinner snack? I am not sure if he showed you the bed room but I bet you would break the bed." He chortled his eyes sparkling wickedly. He wasn't aware that they had already been at it once before.
"though poor Paro would probably just squeak and hide from someone like you...so how you get him to stay? " His eyes flickered to the necklace and he gave a low whistle.
"Oh...I see how it is. A little sugar from his sugar daddy?"
Carys felt his hackles rising with each word that was spewed forth from the mouth of Paro's brother. He talked down from ten, taking deep breaths before he forced a smile, "We haven't had our after dinner snack yet actually, there is pie in the kitchen." He said, once he got his first wave of anger under control.
"Its taken up a while to get used to each other but when Paro learned I wasn't dangerous well... he doesn't worry now."
Paro pressed his body against Carys as his brother got closer. He hated it when Ura did this, his face was pink as he tried to not listen.
Ura tilted his head back to look at the kitchen a moment before his gaze focused on Carys. He folded his hands behind his head.
"Well they saw pie is almost like the real thing. So I am guessing that is the warm up before you break him?" He stated crudely.
Carys blinked his strangely colored eyes a couple times, "Break... him?" He asked, sounding a bit confused by Usa's wording, confused an annoyed. Did Usa think he meant to eat Paroparo just because of what he was he found himself wondering again feeling his anger rising but he was doing his best from reacting... it was growing harder to do though, the part of him that wanted to protect Paro also wanted to shut this one up.
Ura only snorted as he plopped himself into a chair that was nearby.
"Well yah..I can't exactly see you not breaking him. Your sizes a rather drastic." He commented again smugly watching the others reaction.
"Course he is too much of a wimp to actually try and mount you. " He snorted again looking over his shoulder as if wondering when the pie wuold be ready.
Paro blanched, that was really uncalled for,"..U..Ura y..you d..dont h..have to sa..a" He started but his brother cut him off.
"Say what? that your too much of a p***y to really get what you want?" He snapped irritated. Carys's pupils shifted one becoming just a pin p***k the other one turning into a slit, "I think you talking about your brother in that manner is a bit... perverse, don't you think?" He said, putting his hands behind his back, clasping them together to keep from doing anything foolish. "I am quite thankful I am not in touch with anyone of my siblings if your an example of what one is."
Ura only shrugged the comment off, he looked irritated now instead of smug.
"Just stating the truth. " His gaze moved back to the dragon his lips twitching back into his smirk, he could tell he was getting on the dragon's nerves. He got up suddenly as if bored and walked out of the room.
Paro relaxed only slightly as Ura left, h wasn't sure what his brother was up to,but..he looked to Carys apologetically.
"..I..am sorry...he...is...difficult.." he murmured pressing himself against Carys in a affectionate manner. He looked down at Paro, "Difficult? I would find other ways to describe him." He murmured, watching the way he'd gone before looking back to the little one leaning into him, "We can always leave the pie to him and find dessert somewhere else." He offered.
Paro thought on it, he was hoping Ura would grow bored and just leave them alone. All of a sudden...a brightly colored wrapper floated down and landed on his head, soon to be followed by others. Paro only took a second to recognize them and in his haste started to gather them up. Little squares of brightly colored package...each one containing a flavored condom. His brother had gone too far... rooting around in his personals of all things! He was about to say something moving to climb Carys so he could look over his shoulder and actually get mad at his brother when suddenly a pair of boxers were launched at his face. he gave a muffled yelp of surprise as he toppled backward somewhat a pair of underwear clinging to his hair.
"URA!" he squeaked in a high voice, his anger was evident a lower snickering coming from behind.
"What? Shouldn't he know what turns your crank?" He joked sending another pair of briefs flying in their direction. Carys rounded on Ura, eyes narrowed, "I'm starting to wonder what turns yours, some sort of brother complex?" He snapped, "No other reason to try to chase me off or go pawing through his underwear." He took a couple steps toward the green hair man when the second set of underwear hit him in the chest.
Ura stuck out his tongue in a rather childish manner.
"Haha you wish, I just know what best for him. Your not it. Sorry you struck out." He claimed and he was...perhaps a bit overprotective.
"Can't risk a dragon of all things near him. Too fragile you know." He sneered the word dragon sounding derogatory.
Paro was trembling with anger and fear that Carys may hurt his brother...not that he didn't deserve it... but it was still his brother.
"ura!" he whispered hoarsely, "Please...s..stop this." He continued pitifully.
The other Fae ignored him, his arms crossed over his chest smugly. Carys took in a deep breath, "My blood doesn't matter, I am not a full dragon only half. Even if I were full blooded it really isn't...." He trailed off as he looked over at Paroparo for a long moment, taking in the way he was looking... afraid and it wasn't so much over the situation but at him. He blinked a couple times, "I should go." He murmured. If Ura didn't want him around that was one thing, one he didn't care about but Paro... He felt like he was going to be at square one with the Fae after this.
The other Fae snorted again, "Full half? what makes the difference. You are what you are. Our natural predator. You know its wrong to do this." He spread his fingers in a general wave in Paro's direction.
Paro's eyes widened when Carys said he was leaving.
"No no! please don't go!" He begged as he scrambled to his feet and then to the half dragons side where he then clung to him. "I've never eaten anything more intelligent of a cow despite Paro asking me to eat him for this exact reason. He'd rather be in my belly then deal with you." He growled then looked a little surprised when the Paro was suddenly rushing over to him, a good sign that he wasn't so afraid of him that he would let him go.
He relaxed a little bit, lifting a hand to brush back a lock of Paro's hair, "I don't want to cause problems for you."
Ura laughed it was harsh and cold. "And you think he is smarter than a cow? look at him? Sniveling at your side like a frightened puppy." He gave another snort before running an exasperated hand through his hair.
Paro buried his head into Carys he didn't want him to leave...but he didn't want to stay either.
"Ura...j..just go." he cried.
The other Fae looked at his brother appraisingly before finally sighing.
"Yeah yeah let me go get that pie out of the oven before it burns to a crisp." He snapped moving off suddenly looking very annoyed.
"Your brother asked you go go so how about you do, there is no pie for people that can't civil tongues in their heads." He told Ura before he moved his hand to the small of Paro's back and nudged him toward the kitchen, "Come on, lets go to the kitchen shall we?"
The only response from Ura was a middle finger jutted in the air. "If I find him dead I know who I am looking for at least." He snapped before the sudden slam of the door announced his departure.

Aftermath
(( Paroparo is Jayoku's and the RPG was done on MSN ))
Paro nudged forward only slumped to the ground as if he was too weak. Dizzy was the more appropriate word. He wasn't sure why Ura had to be like that...so cruel H hated it. Even if he thought it was for his own good he hated it.
"I'm sorry.." he mumbled their nice evening now destroyed by his brothers presence. Carys didn't say anything, heading into the kitchen to look in on the pie he starred at it for a moment before he reached into the oven and pulled it out. It was a little darker then the 'golden brown' most recipes called for but at least it wasn't blackened he thought as he starred down at it.
Paro wasn't sure what to do or say, he looked dumbly at his hands which still clutched the condoms. He had only bought them as a joke. He liked the bright wrappers, but was much too embarrassed to actually look at them. he dropped them onto the ground stumbling up onto his feet he wrapped his arms around himself suddenly cold.
"carys..." He murmured out loud knowing he would need to speak louder "Carys?" he called out again taking one hesitant step at a time.
He turned to look over his shoulder at Paro for a moment then sighed a bit, turning around so that he could lean against the counter, "I... nearly hit him." He murmured, he'd been a step away from it... he wanted to, badly but he was afraid it would hurt Paroparo more then it would that smug b*****d Ura.
Paro nodded his head understanding the desire. "You..cou..could off..I wouldn't...o..of minded." He murmured as he finally managed to stumble his way over to Carys. He buried his face in the mans shirt, his eyebrows furrowing as he smelt the pie.
"I burnt it...didn't i.." He wrapped an arm around Paro to hug him close, "You should have told me, I would have then... just didn't want to upset you." He murmured, leaning over to press a kiss to the top of the Fae's head, "I don't... want to hurt you Paroparo. Even if my father's kind have bad reputations with yours I am not about to eat a Fae... well... not you. I might make an exeption for your brother." He muttered, not really serious just annoyed.
Paro gave a half attempt at a laugh against the mans side. "I..I..believe you..." he finally managed to say, his gaze looked up as he felt dusk finally settle upon them. With a twinkle his wings shimmered into existence. Thankful for them he fluttered a bit so he could kiss Carys lips.
"L....lets forget he came. Co..come. I will..play my flute for you." He offered, knowing that playing it would at least help calm himself. Carys's eyes widened a bit at the appearance of his wings, lifting a hand to run them over the pretty, rainbow colored appendages.
"Is it alright?" He asked, sounding a little bit worried, "He won't come back again tonight?" He didn't think he liked the idea of being in a trance if Ura might appear again.
He shook his head, knowing Ura he probably would check around in the morning but would leave him alone relatively for now.
"He's done what he wanted...ruin the mood...lets try and get it back." he urged fluttered in the air a bit before taking a hand and leading him to his bed room. He picked up the flute, which was light in his hand and then landed on the bed he offered a spot next to him.
Carys gave a little nod before he followed along after him, he wanted to believe Paro about his brother being gone... and most definitely wanted to get back the mood his presence had ruined. He looked at the flute he was holding before sitting down next to him, "Alright, so long as you think hes gone for now." He murmured.
Paro nodded his head, he was sure that Ura would leave them alone for the rest of the evening...he would probably drop by in the morning to check up on him...but he hoped he would stay away for now. Taking Carys hand the Fae floated through his house leading him back to his bedroom. He allowed the half dragon to sit down before he moved to gather his flute. He turned to face Carys letting him settle before he spoke next.
With a nod Carys waited for the song to begin, he was actually a bit curious to hear the sound of Paroparo's flute, of the songs he played, what it would sound like... and a bit curious what he would do when he realized the power he had on hand when it came to Carys and his flute. He gave a smile, "Any time your ready." He murmured.
Paro licked his lips and then brought the flute to his lips, he took a deep breath and then closed his eyes as he began a slow melodious tune. It seemed comforting and calm.
Carys's eyes went a bit wide as the song started, a beautiful song which made it even more dangerous to him and then his eyes sank half closed and seemed to take on a bit of a dazed look... the longer the song went on the more out of it he became until the point where he sank back onto his elbows on the bed then to his back. The song was beautiful and had wrapped around his conscientiousness and held half dragon in its grasp.
Paro continued through the length of the song until it was concluded, he was so wrapped up in the song he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary happening around him. He was one with the song, his kinda had a power when it came to music...but right now he just let the song be what it was...beautiful music. When he finally removed the instrument from his lips he opened his eyes and smiled feeling much better.
"did you like it?" He asked noticing the rather ...dazed expression on Carys face. The half dragon was quiet... and if one had to guess they would think he was trying to wake up from the way he moved, the way he was breathing. HIs chested moved in a steady manner that was slowly quickening as he came out from under the hypnotic sound of the flute. His mismatched eyes fluttered then opened and started to clear up and he realized that he was starring up at the ceiling and laying back on Paro's small, candy colored bed.
Paro chewed on his lower lip and then clambered onto the bed to see what was wrong. Maybe the song was too melodious...did he fall asleep?
"C..Carys?" He whispered not wanting to wake him if he was sleeping. He was worried though, "you okay?" Carys lifted a hand up so he could slide it around Paro, pulling him down for a snuggle, "Mmm... yes..." He murmured quietly, "I'm okay... thank you for for playing for me."
He couldn't resist those arms and he snuggled into Carys embrace even while he pondered if the half dragon was speaking true.
"I'm...s..sorry i put you to sleep..I guess i could of played a more lively tune." he murmured after a moments thought.
He couldn't help but laugh a little, "I wasn't asleep. I could hear every note you played... I just couldn't really react as well as I would have liked to." He said, nuzzling against the Fae' pretty colored hair. I twas such a nice color, colored like gems.
He didn't seem convinced, he was mentally remembering all the more uplifting tunes he knew that he could play for Carys in the future. But he nodded his head...distracted by the nuzzling. He giggled feeling relaxed again, like his brother never had come and interrupted their evening int he first place.
"If...y..your t..tired you can s...sleep over." He offered shyly. "Do you think its a good idea?" He asked, sounding a bit unsure. After all what if that idiot came back? Last thing he wanted was for them to have to deal with Ura's taunting them over breakfast, "We could always go sleep at my place, we could sleep in then, be lazy, and have breakfast whenever we wake up." The other Fae wouldn't come to his lair if he wanted to keep all his limbs after all. He was sure that even Ura wasn't foolish enough to enter dragon territory... or at least one hoped he wasn't that foolish. If he were though Carys had all the reason he needed to show him why he shouldn't.
Paro thought on it, the fury on Ura's face when he came int he morning and discovered they weren't there. He tried not to giggle, even though he knew he would be forced to face his brother eventually.
"S..sure." He replied in a happy tone.
Carys grinned, "Good." He murmured sitting up and gathered Paroparo close for a hug and a kiss, "Do we want to bring the pie? It didn't look to bad and I still want some."
Paro blushed as he was swept up. He nodded his head, he didn't want to deny the pie to Carys. If he wanted it he could have it...though he couldn't bare the thought of eating it himself.
"I...if you want it..I don't mind." He murmured. Carys gave a smile, "Alright then, lets get ready and we can head to my place." Half of the reason he wanted to take it was to keep it from Ura. If it were left here the other Fae might think to take some if came by again to bother Paroparo, "Things will be more relaxing at my place, nobody goes there without calling me first." Aside from Kern but he wouldn't come by if Carys told the man that he had company.
Paro nodded his head and leaned it against Carys chest. He believed that Carys was speaking the truth. He liked his place...even if he would miss his own home and its insanely bright colors. But it wasn't like he was never going to come home again. Right now all he wanted to do was be with Carys. Nothing else mattered.
"o..okay. You mind if i gather somethings? like..clothes?" He asked with a tease in his voice. Carys gave a chuckle, "Probably would be a good idea, just in case we have a problem like the last time." He said with a chuckle as he rose to his feet and helped Paroparo up onto his, "We will go when you are ready.

A Work
The more he thought about it the more that Carys thought that families were just... plain difficult. He wanted nothing more then to strangle Paroparo's brother but somehow doubted it would get him into the good graces of his boyfriend... no he would just have to do his best to avoid him at all costs. It was easier on Paro since it would seem that Ura had so much against Carys due to where half of his blood came from... as he'd told Ura, he'd never eaten anything more intelligent then beef but he was considering indulging in Fae. Surely eating one of them wouldn't be so bad, he could play it off as if nothing had happened and then when Ura went missing they could chalk it up to him having better things to do then ruining their lives...
A pleasant enough day dream but the mere idea of sinking his teeth into something that would probably argue with him, insult him, and tell him off as he ate it... just gave him a sour stomach instead of sounding appetizing. It really made him wonder how dragons could eat intelligent races... then again he supposed a full blooded dragon was a lot bigger, could swallow something like Ura in just a bite.
"When you grin like that you look eeriely like your father... what's on your mind?" A familiar voice asked, drawing him from his strange fantasies.
"Huh? Oh... the uses of being a pure bred dragon." He said, leaning forward.
"It has its uses and it draw backs as with any race I suppose." Kern said, giving a lazy shrug before he dropped a few thick folders on his desk, "Cutesy of the boss."
"You rather like being above in rank here don't you?" Carys said with a grumble, knowing he would have to input all of the information into the computers that the folders contained.
"Of course, besides I am older then you by a few hundred years. Its only right I am farther ahead in business then you. You shouldn't complain though, your doing very well for yourself here, not many people are above you on the food chain."
"That's true.... still a pain since you just started here. Ah well... I will take care of this quickly enough." He said, pulling up the programs that he needed and set to work as his friend headed back to where he worked, his desk located just outside the office of the head honcho. Kern was an interesting fellow, one he would like for Paroparo to meet at some point... though he half suspected that his lover might have a heart attack if he was told who and what Kern was. He might just appear to be a normal, every day secretary at the moment but he was a full dragon just like Carys's father was... even a friend of his old man. The idea of the Fae meeting either of them would be... catastrophic... Kern at least would be a bit nicer about it.
His father referred to humans as 'lesser beings' and 'pinkies', elves were 'long ears' while Fae were 'bugs'. He had thought up insulting names for all of the races that he'd ever run across... and yet ninety nine percent of those races he'd slept with... it was rather confusing if you asked Carys but given he'd been born of one of his fathers affairs with a race he considered to be less then what he was he couldn't complain to much.
Still... it was possible that his father would want to meet him if they continued to date, if they became serious. He wanted for things to continue on the path they were going, he enjoyed his time with Paroparo, and rather liked waking up with him. He supposed if it were something that came to pass in the future then he deal with it when that time came... for now it would seem the biggest problem they had standing before them was Ura... which brought him full circle in his thoughts. He shouldn't think about that now, instead he should put aside the annoying brother that needed his backside kicked, put aside Kern and his old man who were to scary to meet Paroparo quite yet... if ever... and focus on something less worrisome. His mother...
He had a feeling that she would love Paroparo... if for no other reason then she was certain that he was going to be alone all of his life, which would be a while given he was half dragon... she would no doubt throw some sort of party for Paro and him. She might be a little sad to see that Paro was a 'he' and that she wouldn't be getting grand babies but then again he doubted that would stop her from hinting at it.
'You know Carys they let couples like yours adopt.' The thought was complete with his minds mimicking of her voice... he gave a bit of a smirk and continued on with his work.
It was all so complicated but really all that mattered was how Paro felt for him and how he felt for Paro, right? Family could be dealt with in time and they seemed to be getting along well enough despite everything that had happened so far. He could only hope that things continued to go so well.

Dinner with Mom
Clover was a strange woman, she was on the short side and the rather... innocent looking side. She was old enough to have a son Carys's age but still looked like a young girl. It would a test to the strange tastes that Carys's father had. She was sitting at the table waiting for her son and his lover to arrive looking quite excited about it. Carys was a good boy, great at his job but he wasn't the best when it came to his relationships. It wasn't that they were nonexistent they just never seemed to last long enough for them to reach a point where he wanted to introduce them to her.
The woman traced a fingertip around the edge of her glass in a thoughtful manner, this must mean something grand then that she was going to get to meet this one though she wondered what her son meant by his lover being 'someone a little unexpected'. It had her mind racing though the only she could hope for was that he wasn't dating a Chromatic... his father would have a heart attack and die on the spot if he were.
She lifted her gaze when she heard approaching footsteps and smiled when she saw a waiter appeared to tell her the rest of her party had arrived.
Paro had checked and rechecked his image in a small hand held mirror he had before stuffing it in his man purse.
"You...sure she is going to like me?" He asked for perhaps the four hundredth time that day. One could understand that he was nervous, after all he was going to meet his boyfriends mother. So he was a bit ...antsy about the situation. He fixed and refixed his blouse and tucked a stray hair behind his ears again, the decided against it and moved the hair to lay in front of his ears. Being a Fae he was a bit...unsure what his mother would think about his race.. or gender for that much. He licked his lips again and then went to clutch at Cary's hand anxiously.
Carys gave a smile as he turned to look at Paro and then gave a nod, "She will love you." He murmured, as he led the Fae toward the matre de. The man in the suit took their names before moving off into the dining room to find the first member of their party, "We will stay for as long as you feel comfortable, alright? If you want to leave at anytime we can wrap up the meeting." He didn't want either Paro or his mother to be in the least bit uncomfortable.
Paro nodded his head slowly, trying to slow his breathing and calm his racing heart down. Nothing...nothing would be bad. Either she liked him or didn't...and well...though it would be easier if she liked him at least she was human...and he didn't have to worry about suddenly being devoured.
"O..okay." He mumbled leaning on his tiptoe to give Carys a kiss on the cheek before focusing again.
The restaurant was fancier than he was use to....were people staring at them. He found himself clinging to Carys's arm and once they reached the table he found himself looking a bit surprised. THIS? was his mother? She looked far too young to have a son as old as Carys...and she was...so short. He hadn't expected that, he figured since Carys was so talll...must of been from his fathers side. He tried to not stare and ended up blushing and giving a small wave to her before half hiding behind Carys like a child might. Clover rose to her feet and gave a bright smile, "Hello Carys, love." She murmured, leaning forward to give her son a hug before she looked around him to where the purple haired Fae was standing and a smile spread over her lips, "Your a pretty one, my name is Clover." She introduced herself.
Carys watched his mother as she snuggled against him and gave her a smile, "Hello Mom." He gave a smile as she was already taking charge, introducing herself and talking with Paro.
Paro blushed at her compliment and after a quick swallow moved so that he wasn't hiding behind Carys anymore.
"H..hello clover. I..am Paroparo." He introduced and offered a hand to her to shake. YOu were suppose to do that yes? "Y..you can call me Paro though...my full name is a mouthful." He said with a soft giggle. She was pretty..he could see the parts of Carys that looked like his mother.
He couldn't help but look between them both a moment before blushing more. Clover reached out to take his hand and gave it a little squeeze, "It is nice to meet you Paro. I've been eager to meet you since I heard about you." She murmured before motioning to the table, "I had them bring some ice water and rolls for us to start on while we try to decide what we want." One of the rolls had already been picked apart as the woman had been waiting a bit to long and her idle hands had needed something to do.
Carys gave a smile as he moved to pull out a chair for Paro to sit in and then waited for the other two to be seated before he took his own seat, "Was I the first to tell you about Paro?" He asked, a little curious.
Clover gave a smile and a giggle at that but didn't answer.
Paro took his seat thanking Carys as well Clover for ordering the rolls, a hand instantly snatching one to help quell his nervousness. Nibbling at the roll he looked to Carys and Clover with a raised eyebrow.
"The..first?" he echoed not sure what Carys meant by that. He continued to nibble on the roll slowly. Much like their first date with the cookie.
Clover looked over at the Fae, "A mutual friend often keeps me informed of what is going on with Carys, he is a busy boy and some things wouldn't get to me otherwise." She said, "Though I didn't hear about you until Carys called me. "I think Kern knew that it wasn't the same as a job promotion or a move."
Carys gave a nod before he opened up a menu, "That's good." He murmured before looking over at Paro, "Kern is someone I work with, a friend of the family."
Paro blinked and then nodded his head slowly logging the name away in his brain. He then looked back to Clover and forced himself to put the roll down.
"Ah...so..what do you do for a living ?" He asked politely as he reached for his own menu and paused a moment before opening it. He was hungry...nervousness often made him hungry. He scanned the list of foods quickly before looking over the menu to Clover and then glancing at Carys and shifted a bit so he could press one of his legs against his.
Clover gave a smile, "I used to be a seamstress though after I had Carys I ended up retiring so that I could spend my time with him." Given who her lover and Carys's father was she hadn't had to work after that... not that she said as much, merely reached over to pick up her glass of water and took a sip, "What about you Paro? What sort of work do you do?" She asked curiously.
Paro folded his menu back in half and lay it on the counter. There was no reason to be nervous...none. She was human and he delt with humans all the time. And she wasn't scary or mean, so there was no reason to be as anxious as he was.
Taking a breath he started, "Well I work part-time in a bakery and I sometimes do street performances with my flute." He explained, he wasn't really rolling in money but he was content and more happy than he had been since her met Carys. "Do you miss sewing?" he inquired wondering how hard it would of been for her to give up her job to have a child. "Oh my, really? You must have won my boy over easily then he has such a sweet tooth." She said, sounding pleased with this and then her eyes widened a bit at what he said after that, "A musician? Really? Have you played at all for Carys?"
She gave a nod, "I don't miss the long hours of sewing for people that I didn't know though I did miss being able to create things... its probably why I ended up making so much for Carys when he was little... only to have him grow up and want to wear the same thing every day." She gave a little pout at that.
"Suits are required where I work Mom." Carys murmured then motioned to Paro, "What do you think of what Paro is wearing?" He asked, to get her attention off of him as she was looking him up and down with that look that said she was taking his measurements with her mind.
She blinked a couple times looking over at Paro, "His clothing is quite darling, like a sweet little doll I love them."
Paro gave an embarrassed smile at the 'winning him over comment' it really was more of a combination of alcohol and one very nice evening...
"Y..yes i have played for him once...I can play for you sometime if you like." He offered before being distracted by her description of Carys wearing cute clothes. He tried to picture it...and physically had to look at him but couldn't imagine him wearing anything like he did. Before he could comment he would of liked to have seen him in such clothes he was diverted by her comment about his own clothes. Looking flattered he tucked his hair behind his ears out of habit.
"Ah...t..thanks. I..d..don't make mine...so ..t..they aren't anything special." he replied embarrassed at the attention. He picked at the roll again fidgeting.
"Uh...so now that you aren't looking ..after Carys...w..what do you do?" He inquired. she didn't really look old enough to be retired... "I might have to see about making you something at some point." She murmured, giving a bright smile. The idea of being able to work with such delicate fabrics and lots of ruffles... how nice! She lifted a finger to tap it against her lips, "Not to much really, I watch some children in my neighborhood while their parents are at work. Such darlings." Then in a very mom manner she asked with a bright smile, "What do you think about babies Paroparo?"
Carys choked on the bread he was chewing on, face going red, "M-Mom!"
"What? Its just an innocent question." She said with a grin.
Paro at the time had been nodding his head commenting on how she didn't have to make him anything when he put the bread in his mouth and nearly choked on it as well when the question of kids came up. His face went bright red and he looked at his lap fidgeting.
"Ah....I...love kids..." He replied, his mind frantically wondering if she thought he was a girl.. "W....what a..about you Carys?" He asked unable to meet the half dragon's gaze. He looked at his lap twisting his hands together nervously. Clover clapped her hands in a delighted sort of way, "That's wonderful." She murmured, as though already plotting on grandchildren despite the fact that Carys and Paro had only been together a short time.
Carys did his best not to groan, knowing that look on his Mother's face... he looked over at Paro and gave a smile, "I haven't been around a lot of them but I think having one at some point would be nice."
He nodded his head numbly his mind already racing over things he had thought about before. They were both men...would Carys be okay with adopting? Instead he leaned over and whispered into Carys's ear.
"..y..your mo..mother kn..knows I am...a guy...right?" He asked feverishly as he didn't want her getting hopes up about....biological children. First off he wasn't even sure if their species were compatible. And he just assumed like most species Fae were no exception to the females baring the children.
Carys gave a nod of his head, "She knows." He murmured back to the Fae, looking over at the woman who was smiling so brightly at them, "I doubt something so simple as gender will stop her from dreaming."
He gave his mother a smile, "Now, now... you don't want to embarrassing Paroparo now do you Mom?" Though she was doing just as well to embarrass him as well... he looked down at his water as he tried to fight off his blush.
Swallowing he nodded his head, feeling ...horrible that they couldn't actually make her dream come true in that sense. Adopting was the only way.
With trembling fingers he went to pick up the roll again wondering what had happened to the waiter. He wanted something else to nibble on to ease his nerves.
"D..o....you...r...really...l..look...forward to..b..being a grandmother? Y..you look too young...t...to b....be .one.." He asked dropping his roll and fumbling to pick it up again.
Clover flushed in a delighted manner, "Oh my... aren't you a sweet thing." She said and instantly liked Paro all that much more, "You know all the right things to say to a girl don't you?"
Carys gave a shake of his head, "You have a friend for life now Paro." He murmured to the Fae and gave a grin.
There was a bit of murmuring from the diners as a man walked through the dining room looking very much like he didn't in anyway belong there... after all every person inside was dressed in their best, suits and ties were a requirement for this place but this one... he was wearing sandals, flowery shorts that looked like something that belonged on an islander, and his long golden tresses were back in a bunch of braids. It was his eyes, inhuman ones that had gotten him into the place unopposed. One good glare at the man in charge and here he was... and there he went grabbing a free chair from another table without asking, spun it around and sat down between Paro and Clover as though he might as well own the place.
"Such a nice gathering we are having here... and nobody thought to invite me along despite my being in town. I feel insulted." He told the trio. He didn't look as upset as he sounded...
Carys was starring wide eyed, unspeaking... seeming to have lost his voice for the moment while Clover was looking at him like a school girl seeing a movie star.

Plus Two
Paro had felt a chill go down his back as this particular person came to sit between him and Carys mother. He shrank in his chair, hearing the words coming from the mans mouth. The roll he had in his hand dropped back onto the plate as he opened his mouth and closed it again too afraid to say anything. But it was plain on his face that he seemed terrified. "No happy greetings and hugs? No fanfare?" He asked before he turned to look over at Paro for a long moment before he lifted an eyebrow, "Well now... the standards must have lowered in this place, letting insects into this place... then again given its full of nothing but pinkies I suppose your at least a step up from that." He reached a hand over to poke a finger against Paro's forehead before Clover reached out to catch hold of his wrist and pulled it over to her, lacing her fingers with his.
"It is nice to see you again Tez, your just... a force to be reckoned with is all." She murmured motioning to Paroparo, "This is Paroparo, he is Carys's lover. We are having a nice dinner and your more then welcome to join us if you like." As though the three of them had a choice in sending him away.
Tez gave a chuckle, "Dating a faire? Why am I not surprised." He murmured, shaking his head, "Dinner huh? I suppose we could do that. What do you think Carys? Bug?"
Carys felt a headache growing behind his eyes, "I don't know... it was supposed to be just Mom."
When that finger had tried to poke him he had flinched even though no contact had been made. He felt like his mouth had gone dry, parched like a dessert. He was thankful that Clover had diverted ..Tez was it? He felt ill. He knew what Tez was....there was nothing apart of him that couldn't shake that instinct to running away. He loved Carys though...and he was apart of what he was so afraid of. He scooted his chair closer to Carys in an attempt to draw strength from his presence. His body stiffened at the name bug.
"I...its...Paro..sir.." he replied meekly. He wanted to leave...so desperately...but he knew he would have to face Carys father eventually. The man gave a bit of a grin at the responses he got before he gave a nod, "I see, so it was by invitation only... though here I must say I am quite curious at this one who wants to be with my son. I might stay for a while but I will leave when the food arrives. Sound fair?" He asked of Carys.
The half dragon gave a nod of his head, it was no doubt the best offer they would get from his father. The golden haired man looked over to Paro and gave a chuckle, "Paro is it? I'm called Tezcacoatl." He said, holding his hand out to Paro and gave him a toothy grin.
Paro looked up as he noticed a hand being offered to him and blanched. His ears were nearly sagging downwards as his eyes widened looking at those teeth...but then it was the eyes that made him shiver uncontrollably. He averted his gaze and with trembling limb reached out to take Tez's.
"..H....e..llo...sir..." he meeped out his other hands groped around trying to find Carys leg for support. Tez took Paro's hand in his, shaking it... then gave a bit of a smile, "I have to say I like this one, hes at least polite." He told his son, giving a Paro's hand a little squeeze just to mess with him before releasing him, "Ahhh, here is your waiter. I bet your happy to see him. Mean you get to start the count down to my departure."
Carys laid his hand over the Fae's hand that held onto his leg and he gave it a gentle squeeze of assurance.
"Good, good. Lets order then shall we." Clover said, glad to see that Tez was... behaving himself as much as he could... well given the circumstances.
Paro had all but forgotten about the face they got to order food. He felt..ill...and he wasn't sure if it was worth buying food. But when Tez had squeezed his hand he felt his heart leap into his throat. he withdrew his hand quickly before opening his menu and grabbing the first thing he saw ordered it. He then placed the menu down feeling dizzy. he wasn't mentally prepared for this.
Carys ordered something he'd seen earlier that had looked good and handed the menu over to the waiter.
Clover gave her order as well before looking at her son and then his date before giving a soft sigh, blowing her bangs out of her eyes as she turned to look at Tez, "So what brings you into town?"
"Business mostly." He said, "Though I must say this dinner has made the trip that much more worthwhile." Nothing better then teasing small, frightened creatures... though he wouldn't admit he was somewhat glad to hear that his son was dating. He was starting to think he would never do so though that he was looking into a Bug and not a dragon was a disappointment... then again few dragons would want anything to do with a half human.
Paro swallowed nervously the uncomfortable and awkwardness of the situation was starting to get to him. Okay deep breaths now he had to...try and talk to him right?
"Wh...what...s..s.ort..." He started but was abruptly cut off.
"Well...look what I found." A dragging of a chair sounded as suddenly yet another person was added to the table cramming himself between Tez and Paro. Paro's eyes widened horrified. As his dark green haired brother seemed to have come out of no where. He was wearing his...work clothes. His head swiveled and sure enough there was a violin case leaning up against his chair.
"U...usa!" He hissed fearfully after how he had gotten Carys all riled up he didn't want him poking at a full dragon.
Usa ignored him, instead offered a strained smile over at Carys and then winked at Clover.
"Miss you have some odd company with you today." He started with a laugh. It was evident he was placing himself between his brother and Tez. Clover gave a soft giggle, "Don't I?" She said to Usa with a smile, "Are you joining us for dinner? Or just visiting?"
Carys looked over at Paro leaning over to whisper to him, "So... are we wanting to leave yet?" He asked of the Fae, already of the mind that they should head to the bathroom and then sneak out the window and run away.
Tez gave the man who joined them a glance as he put himself between Tez and the younger Fae... it took only a glance and one sniff of the scent around Usa for the older male to know exactly what he was which seemed to only amuse him that much more. Now here was a wonderful family gathering he thought to himself.
Usa only grinned at the woman, "Well it really depends on whats the menue. I see he is saving my brother for dessert." He commented jerking a thumb at Carys. His eyes slid to Tez narrowing sharply before they went back to the woman.
"It really is a coincidence. I am suppose to be playing here tonight." He continued as he stomped on Paro's foot that was nudging against his begging him to stop what he was doing.
Paro offered a bit of a yelp which he tried to smother but only leaned into Carys tears gathering in his eyes. That was uncalled for in his opinion. That suggestion of escaping out the bathroom was sounding more and more lovely by the second. "So long as he understands what your kind are good for." Tez said with a laugh, reaching over to take an untouched glass of water up to take a sip of it.
Clover looked between the four men sitting at the table and then gave a little shake of her then held menu out to Usa, "Now, now. How about we all get along shall we?" She murmured, feeling the tense atmosphere and wanted to chase her old lover and this new person off so she could go back to calm and fun dinner with her baby and Paro.
Usa only smirked as he tilted his head to look at Tez with an analyzing look. "Yes...well we have many tricks up our sleeves...and learned quite a few of your...weakness's as well. " He let the undertone of threat hang in the air before he shook his head at the menu being offered to him.
"Sorry miss I cannot eat while on the job. I am sure you will enjoy the music greatly. Paro...I have an extra instrument if you wish to join us." He offered though it sounded more like a demand than an offer.
Paro looked at his brother with pleading eyes wondering if somehow life was mocking him. "Usa..." He started but he merely leaned away from Carys. The conversation between his brother and the full dragon Tez seemed to reopen his earlier worries. Was...that all he was seen as? A snack? His shoulders slumped as he thought on it. "Weaknesses, eh? Sounds interesting." He murmured as he glanced at Usa in what appeared to be an interested manner... less because he really was interested in him and more because he had marked the Fae as a 'threat' because he was acting the way he should. He watched him closely before turning his gaze to Paro, "A musician, hmm?"
Carys reached over to lace his fingers with one of Paro's hands and gave it a squeeze, "Ignore them... maybe they will tire each other out." He murmured.
Usa nodded his head, "Yes yes a long standing tradition. All fae now are born to play music of some sort. Some claim it was a survival tactic." He offered the information like a tid bit and Paro only shook further. He...really wanted to leave....he wasn't sure if he stood up if he could move though. Usa looked over and frowned.
"You look ghastly bro. I think I shoudl take you HOME." He put emphasis on the I as well the HOME part. So his brother had noticed him not comging home...interesting. He went to stand as if he was actaully going to do as he claimed.
Paro only blanched further. "....N...n..no...I...am.." "No. Your NOT. Come one lets go." Usa snapped grabbing his brothers arm and hauling him up off the chari. Carys gave a growl rising to his feet, "Usa, will you get lost and stop interrupting our dates." He snapped.
Tez gave a chuckle, "Somewhat like that whole Romeo and Juliet thing, eh Clover?" The golden haired man said turning his chair slightly to watch the proceedings as though they were a soap opera playing out especially for him.
Clover gave a soft sound, shaking her head, "Children... please."
Usa responded with a snicker in Carys direction.
"Oh and I am sure you WANT to let him stay here and be treated like a snack." He snapped wrenching his brother up and towards him. He was taller than Paro by a head.
"And I am sure Mr. Blondie here wouldn't oppose to him leaving either." He inquired his eyes narrowing.
"Actually I see no reason why you should drag him off... I won't be here much longer, once their food arrives I was planning on heading out and finding something else to do. I have a job in town that is calling out for me... but do go on, this show is quite amusing Bug." Tezcacoatl, never one to be helpful unless it was going to get him somewhere.
Clover gave a sigh before she leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms over her chest, shaking her head.
Carys took in a deep, steadying breath, "Don't act as though your as doing it to help him. Your just here to cause problems. Again." He reached out to take Paro's other hand, not wanting to let Usa take Paro so easily.
Usa only smiled and yanked his brother back. "I meant to save him from you as well you half breed." He sniped.
Paro winced as he was roughly yanked back towards his brother. He looked to Clover for help, since he doubted Tez would do anything.
Clover met his gaze before she gave a nod and rose to her feet and the tiny woman walked over to the trio, nudging her way between them and gave both Usa and Carys a look, "I am going to borrow him, come with me Paroparo. We can go and check out the dessert cart and let these three butt heads like the fools the are, sound good?"
Tez gave a snort, "Aww, game over." He said, turning to reach out and grab a dinner roll and tore it in half, before he set to adding butter to it. Might as well snack between rounds he thought, watching his son and Usa before saying, "You know a real dragon wouldn't let some bug take away his mate."
It seemed to do just as it was meant to as Carys turned to give Usa a glare, "Would you just mind your own business... I've yet to hurt Paro and I don't plan on doing so either."
Paro looked so relieved at the rescue he could of cried. Shaking off his brother and reluctantly Carys he grabbed her hand like a little kid and quickly moved off with her to the deserts shaking like a leave.
Usa snorted as his brother was taken away but didn't stop her from doing it. He didn't need to worry about the woman.
He crossed his arms in front of his chest staring Carys down without an inch of fear in him.
"I don't trust you. Or your breeding. They say you can never truly resist your instincts." He snapped before his gaze went back to Tez who was now eating a dinner roll. He snatched the other half indignantly and bit into it.
"You may just loose control one day...what then?"
Tez watched the Bug as he stole the other half of his roll and gave him a dark look before giving a chuckle at his words, "Your quite a racist aren't you bug?" He said, "I can't even count on both hands and feet how many mates I've had and I can't say that I have eaten a single one. Its not those that we like that we kill and devour, its those that stand in our way."
"I suppose its not your fault though is it? Your just Prey and as such your mindset is that of running away from everything with sharp teeth, right?" He finished off his roll before reaching out catch hold of another one and kept both halves in his hands as though daring Usa to try to take it from him again.
Usa seemed to abandon Carys as the main threat now turning to Tez. A small growl in the back of his throat.
"You just better watch your mouth..." He started as he leaned in and snapped a piece of the bread off with his teeth ripping it as he pulled away and then chewed and swallowed it. "This prey has sharp teeth." He snapped before glancing over to Carys.
"So cute when Prey growls and puffs up... somewhat like those tiny dogs that woman carry around in their purses." He said, reaching a hand out to pat Usa on the head in a rather condescending sort of way.
Carys gave a sighing sound, shaking his head, "Dad..."
"What I am only speaking the truth, you can do as you like with your Bug but this one... you have no dibs." He said, glancing over at his son to give him a very serious look.
The half dragon gave a shrug, "I think I will go and check on my... bug as you put it, see how hes doing." Though if Tez even heard him was debatable as his attention was already back on Usa. Carys rolled his eyes before abandoning the table to follow after Paro and Clover.
Paro was still pale even as he chatted with Clover about the different types of deserts that were there and how to make them, he half turned when he heard Carys walking over to them and Paro nearly pounced him and checked him over to make sure there was no blood. He gave a sigh of relief and then hugged the half dragon tightly. "I'm...sorry about Usa..."
Carys shook his head, "Its alright... I'm sorry about my Father... I had no idea he was even in town. Or that he would come to see us." He said wrapping an arm around the Fae and hug him close, nuzzling against his pretty hair.
Clover watched the pair before giving a smile, "If you want to continue our meal another time I would completely understand." She told them, looking over at the two pigheaded males that were insulting each other and fighting over bread and shook her head.
Paro looked apologetically at Clover and nodded his head. "Yes...maybe a another time...I really had no idea my brother still played...at restaurants..." now he would have to worry about him popping up anywhere he guessed. He sighed sounding very tired.
Clover lifted up to press a kiss to Paro's forehead, "I am glad that we got to meet, it was a nice evening for at least the first half." She told the boy then looked up at Carys, "Take good care of him, I will deal with the other boys." She gave them a wave before turning to head over toward them.
Carys watched her go before he started toward the door with Paro, his steps a quickened.
Paro flushed as she gave him a kiss on the forehead. He did like her, she seemed like someone he could really relax with. He was glad to have met her...even if their meeting was a bit..short.
He gave her a wave as he then followed Carys quickly out of the restaurant.

Strange News
Tez wasn't really sure what he was supposed to be doing here aside from the most obvious. Ah well, it would be interesting to check in on them, see what his son was doing and how his little bug was fairing. He was half expecting the little creature to be knocked up. He reached up to tap it against the door to get the attention of those inside... he hoped that they weren't previously engaged. He wondered who would answer the door, he was half hoping it would be the little bug... see if he could startle the little thing. hehe
The 'little bug' as it was was happily cleaning about the house like a good house wife may, he turned his head as he heard the front door knock.
"Carys are you expecting someone?" He asked as he took the feather duster in hand and placed it on the coffee table before he took the handkerchief out of his pale purple hair. Shaking his hair out he then skipped towards the door.
"Coming!" He called out
Carys glanced toward the door before pushing to his feet to follow after Paro, he wasn't expecting anyone and having someone magically appearing like this had the dragon's hackles rising. Who was out there and what did they want? He sniffed at the air as he got close and a sighing sound escape from his lips. His father? What was that guy doing here? He was a little surprised as he'd thought that he went off on another of his eco things. After all since the disastrous dinner he'd not heard or seen him... for him to just appear like this. Surely it wasn't a good sign, "Careful in opening the door." He cautioned, not wanting Paro to be startled.
Paro nodded his head hurrying to abandoned the door to hide behind Carys's tall body. He obviously still found Tez very intimidating after their last meeting he hadn't heard from his brother...which he had found odd. He semi feared that Tez had eaten him...but hadn't voiced this fear out loud else he could offend his lover.
Carys opened the door and stepped out of the way to let the elder dragon inside, "Hello and good evening." He greeted the man, looking him up and down. Hard to tell what his father was thinking or why he was here though he did look pleased about something. He wondered if he shoudl worry...
Tez gave a nod, stepping passed them, reaching out to pat Paro on the head in a manner similar to one would use in dealing with a cute pet before he moved to sit down on the couch without asking, not that he really had to ask at his age and given he was the oldest one here, "Evening." He said, looking over at Paro, "I came to speak with your little bug there... though I suppose you can stick around."
Carys gave his father a look, "That's... very kind of you."
The small fae couldn't help by try and duck his head as the elder full blooded dragon went to pet him on the head. He still felt his fingers on his scalp and it caused him to shiver. Much like a small child would he clutched Caryr's hand worried as Tez announced he was here to talk to him.
"M..me?" He stuttered pointing to himself before looking up at Carys's wondering if it was safe. "A..about wh..what?" He asked in a soft voice,
Tez motioned for him, "Come sit, I would rather you be sitting down when I tell you... just in case." Did bugs faint? They might... if they were anything like the humans when it came to being weak when it came to news that may or may not be bad. Though given the little bug was sleeping with a half dragon he seemed to be open minded enough about such things.
His small body trembled, he didn't like that the big dragon had his attention on him, so he looked to Carys's with big eyes pleading for him to come with him. He tugged on his hand lightly as he went to sit on the furthest chair from the dra..dragon.
"Wh...what is...it?" He asked finally afraid what he feared had come true.
Carys followed along after his boyfriend, sitting next to him and found himself really wondering what his father was up too. The man was being far to serious... oh Gods... he ate Usa didn't he? It took all Carys had in him to keep from being pleased by the idea of him being out from underfoot. He didn't like the guy... at the same time he didn't want him to be dragon chow... "Its about that spoiled brat of a brother of yours."
Paro flinched at his nightmare was coming true, he felt tears gathering in his eyes. No no no...Usa had gotten eaten? He was jumping to conclusions sure..but he couldn't see any other reason for the dragon to be coming here to tell him about his brother. "...w..what ...did h..he do?" He managed to mumble through choked tears. He hugged Carys's arm tightly his whole body shook as he envisioned the last time he had spoken to USa.
"Something rather stupid. He claims that he hates me dearly but hes still gone off and bonded himself to me." He said, giving a snort as he lounged back against the couch, "I will never understand species that mate for life..." Where was fun in it? The thrill of the hunt? Always going back to the same person day in and day out... though he supposed he didn't mind so much with Usa given he was interesting but passed him the entire concept was dull.
Paro's body went...horribly still. He...felt his ears droop in a manner showing plainly his astonishment and..fear.
"H...he wh..at?" He stammered, his mind raced Usa hated dragons...more than anything...why would be bond with one? He looked up to Carys's biting his lower lip, he had yet to tell Carys about...bonding...although it was a bit too late...since...they had already bonded with out the half breed knowing. He had meant to tell him...he really had...but was too scared of being rejected...it would hurt so badly if Carys had decided it wasn't worth spending their lives together...he would just die.
Tez gave a shrug of his shoulders, "Not a clue, we went off to have a bit of... fun after dinner that night and well... not I find myself with a mate and another litter of brats on the way." He gave a snorting sound, "He could have warned me about both of those things before we had our fun." He muttered though that part seemed to be to himself.
Carys went wide eyed as his mind wrapped around what his father was saying... the gave a choked sound, "Wait... what? Who are you having more kids with?" He asked, unable to comprehend that part.
"Who? Who do you think? I thought you were a smart one Carys... who have I been talking about this entire time?" Tez asked, giving his son a look. "U-Usa?!" Carys sounded more then a little shocked.
Paro's own eyes went large. His brother...bonded with a dragon and now they were having kids? That was possible? He looked at Tez in a new light now though he still feared him he felt his curiosity getting the most of him.
"He...is..having babies?" He asked softly still clinging to his own lovers arm, wondering idly if that meant..he could have babies with Carys....the idea made his face go beat red. But they were fairly sexually active...and as far as he could tell he definitely wasn't pregnant. "Y..your babies..." He echoed quietly, "I...is he okay?" He asked finally pushing past his daydream of having children with his lover.
"Yeah, hes going to see Huian soon." Tez said.
Carys shook his head, "Your bringing him to see that guy? Are you sure its a good idea he is a dragon after all." He didn't know how well another dragon would go over with someone like Usa.
"Yeah, hes a dragon but not the same as what we are. I am sure that Usa will be fine, besides hes being a brat currently and agreed to see the doctor I picked so long as I came here to talk with Paro." He glanced over at Paro for amoment then snorted, "Is he okay? He fat and bitchy... but I suppose his being rather horny makes up for it."
"Dad!" Carys cried, glancing at Paro, "I'm sorry for him."
Paro looked a bit startled as all the information sank in. Wow...his brother hater of all dragons was bonded to one and even having this dragons babies.
"So....y..your not going to eat him?" He asked surprised at his own even tone. He was more surprised that Carys hadn't questioned bonding. Since it was...a rather prominent thing. "Uh...Carys...I need...to...tell you something..." he said tugging on his lovers sleeve. He felt sheepish ...bringing up bonding now, though he looked over to Tez.
"Wh...what did Usa want..you t..to tell me? T..that he..is okay?"
Carys looked down at him, "Tell me?" He asked curiously, wondering what it was that the Fae needed to tell him but he'd turned back to the conversation with Tez so he didn't interrupt further.
Tez looked at the pair for a long moment before his lips curled into a smile of understanding, as though he knew what was going on between the pair, "Naw, I don't think I will be eating him any time soon." He said with a little shrug of his shoulders, "Naw, he wanted me to tell you to run away from Carys."
Paro shifted uncomfortable under the dragon's gaze he looked down at the floor his ears drooping a bit embarrassed.
"I...c..can't...run..." He answered simply he just hugged his lovers arm more tightly hoping that Carys would understand why he hadn't said anything. Though it wasn't fair to Carys him remaining silent...in truth he didn't really think of it much...after all he was head over heals for the half dragon. "W..why isn't Usa here? Why didn't he come talk to me himself?" he whispered.
Tez gave a soft chuckle, "I can't say I am surprised... well at least now that I understand it all." He sat forward, resting his arms in his lap as he looked the pair over. He pushed himself up to his feet, stretching his arms out over his head, "He didn't want to come along due to his belly and being embarrassed over it."
Paro blinked and looked up at the dragon standing his eyes looking surprised. "It...its only been a week..." He said after a moment thinking...just how big could his stomach be after a week?
"He still looks like he swallowed a basketball." He said with a toothy grin, "I should head back, I don't know if he will survive long without me to bring him food." He said before he started toward the door, "I will tell him what you told me."
Paro nodded his head slowly still pondering the information. Wow...a basket ball? "T..thank you..." He continued after a moment and judging by how Carys was acting he knew he was going to spell out bonding to him...he gave a bit of a shiver...he almost wished that Tez was taking him with him.
Tez gave a grin, "Eh, not a problem. I will drag him over after the visit with the doctor so we can tell you both how things are going." He said before he was gone.
Carys gave a sighing sound of relief when his father was gone and without causing a huge hassle... though there was a lot of strange information. Usa pregnant, huh? Now that was amusing...

Bonding?
When Tez finally was gone the fae relaxed quite a bit, though there was still a tenseness in his shoulders.
"I'm..s..sorry you had to..find out this way..." He said after a moment and clambered into his lovers lap wrapping his arms around his neck and giving him a kiss. "Pl...ease so you don't hate me." He sounded pretty choked the very idea of Carys hurt more than anything he could imagine.
The half dragon looked a bit surprised as Paroparo crawled into his lap and he wrapped an arm around him, stroking his fingers up and down along his back, "I wouldn't hate you... though I am curious about what it is that your talking about." He murmured.
Dammit he had been clueless he kissed his chin lightly brushing his lips against his lips before he laid his head in the crook of the man's shoulder. "U...sa..is bonded to your father....I..gu..ess you don..don't, know what..that details..." he sighed sounding tired and a bit frightened.
"I can't say I understand exactly... though I am confused as to why your brother would want to bond with my father of all people... he had enough of a fit over the idea of me dating you and I am only a half blooded dragon." He murmured, looking down at Paro before smiling softly, "You don't have to worry Paro."
He avoided his lovers gaze, it wasn't a good sign he felt guilty. he licked his upper lip nervously before he took a deep breath and let out a shaky laugh.
"B...onding...only occurs...when Fae...had intercourse..." He murmured after a moment, "So...I ..am..not sure wh..why Usa...di..did th..that with your father...wei..weither there was consent..or.." he left out the word rape. "B..but..he.. c..can't leave your f..father now.." He nearly whispered. He looked up at Carys with large watery eyes. "j..just li..like I can't ..leave you..." He said after swallowing the large lump in his throat.
Carys looked toward the door, eyes a bit wide... and little worried. He wasn't sure how far his father would go when it came to his fun... it was one of those questions that he didn't really want to ask the guy either. How did one ask their parent if they attacked someone after all, "I see. I hope that my father and your brother are able to make it work." He said before he gave a smile, "I'd of like to know about all before hand but... I cant say I am mad, surprised but not mad." He was feeling rather possessive of the Fae due to his dragon nature but it had been something he had tried to keep to himself.
Paro looked up at Carys his eyes shining with tears. Tears of happiness he threw his arms around him happily and kissed him repeated on the lips, nose and cheeks."Oh..Carys I was so worried you would hate me. Worried that you'd think that I was just using you." He spouted so happy that Carys wasn't agry with him and he was a bit turned on by this turn of events. "though...I...didn't know about the getting pregnant..thing...honest. Th...that came as a surprise.." he murmured after a moment. He wasn't so sure how Carys felt on having kids.
Carys slid his hands down to Paro's waist, pushing him back a little so he could look down at him ,"So... are you? In that condition?" He asked after a moment, curious whether or not Paro was expecting like Usa was.
Paro looked down at his stomach as well he....wasn't sure...but he somehow felt that it wasn't the case.
"I...don't think so...I mean..you heard how Usa is...and its only been a week...we've...well had intercourse plenty of times...I am sure i would of noticed something as my stomach getting bigger..." he mused after a moment he then looked to Carys.
"Disappointed?" He asked quietly.
Carys looked at his belly for a long moment, thoughtfully before giving a smile, "Well a part of me is a little but I am sure its best that we wait a little bit longer before we have a litter of our own." He said with a soft smile.
Paro gave a little giggly sound the idea of having babies with Carys made him happy. "Yes yes okay...wait..a littler?" He asked tilting his head looking a bit surprised. "How many were you thinking of having?"
"I am unsure about that one, it would depend on you given you are the Mommy and as such the one who has to carry our children." He told him, "I am happy with the idea of how ever many you would like." He'd never thought about having children before, hadn't even thought about getting so serious with anyone. It was a nice feeling to have someone like Paro, someone he could talk to about such things.
A warm future and a close family, a nice thought.
Paro blushed and he leaned in to kiss Carys again much more deeply. "As long as I am with you we can have a large family.." he purred happily he then went about kissing Carys happy and content. Though he guessed they would have to use protection from now on...until they were ready to have a family.
Carys gave a soft smile, "That sounds nice." He murmured, snuggling him close.
