My cat prefers to sit on the books themselves, or the arm holding the book so I can't turn the pages.

I can get my children to sit with me for about five minutes (long enough for a picture book), before they get too squirmy.

I swear my cat reads with me. She'll sit on my lap and stare at the book. She won't try and get my attention she won't sit on the book she'll just lay on me and watch me turn the pages until she falls asleep.

I love my Bella.

Cats and stuffed animals are great reading partners. (If the cat lets you turn the page). Anyone have good experiences with dogs?

A lot of the time when I'm reading in bed my Boston Terriers will lay with me. That's when I rest my book on their conveniently placed bodies. lol

EDIT: Just realized my friend's foot is in two of the pictures. confused

PETEY He's a throwback to the bulldog and in real life weighs around 55 pounds. My favorite by far. *wink*

I never have anybody to read with, but it doesn't really bother me.
On rare occasions, my friend and I both read curled up together on her couch or something. Other than that, it's me myself and I.
