If anyone is wondering, White day is a Japanese tradition. Basically, Valentine's day is when girls give out chocolate to friends and lovers, and White day (march 15th) is when boys give chocolate back. The reason why it's called White day is because they used to give out white chocolate and marshmallows, but now anything is given, lingerie being more popular.

Anyways, anyone made their own chocolate for Valentine's day? If you didn't did you buy any chocolate? If you didn't even give out gifts, what would be your idea of the perfect Valentine's day gift?

p.s. If your single, Black day is coming up on April 14th. It originated in Korea , and it's a day where singles celebrate being single by eating soba noodles with black bean sauce on them. If you don't want to eat soba, then I would recommend eating dark chocolate. smile

Horay! Valentine's Day is coming up (along with my father's birthday the day before)! I've already made some chocolates for my main squeeze over in Australia, and here is a nice picture to prove it!

They are dark chocolate (75% cacao, so they taste really dark) with dark chocolate orange ganache in the middle. I tried out a new recipe for that, and it turned out great! This one calls for an ounce of corn syrup, so it's not healthier, just smoother. Also what really helps with all types of ganache is tabling it on a marble slab until it becomes nice and thick. This helps set up the beta crystals in the chocolate so that they don't become super grainy.
