I don't know really. for My favorite book series, I'd have to say either the Wicked Lovely series or The City of Bones series. Gah! I don't know! I also read the bar code tatoo books and those were pretty good. I read so much I can't decide
Although my favorite manga to date would have to be both The gentleman's alliance cross and xXxHolic.

I read book one of Gentleman's Alliance Cross, and didn't like it. xDD It was way too shoujo for me.

Aw well, sometimes I like that kind of stuff. Granted Haine is kinda' annoying, but aren't all female main character generally?

Not necessarily. But usually, yes. Some are more lovable than annoying. XD Or just cool but not annoying.
