Anyone who's read the manga adaption to Eureka seveN has realized that the manga version of the coralians is very different from that in the anime.
In the anime, the coralians sought to understand and coexist with humans. Eureka and Sakuya were almost messengers; made to learn about humans so that the coralians could understand how to interact with them. They were basically peaceful, until provoked by Dewey.
In the manga, however, things were very different. Eureka's purpose wasn't to understand humans so that coralians could coexist with them, she was meant to uncover the nature of their "noise", so that the coralians could evolve beyond it.
The manga coralians were portrayed more as fearful and uncaring, a great contrast to the curious alien lifeforms portrayed in the anime. But, you'll notice each version conveys a message. With the anime coralians, we learned that sometimes trying to understand what is different instead of pushing it away can make things better for everyone. The manga version, in my opinion at least, gave us a look into the mirror and helped us see some of our own flaws.
I say that because humans, like the manga coralians, are fearful and often would rather eliminate something else than risk having themselves harmed. Alot of the Earth's natural beauty and wildlife suffer because we choose to harm them rather than embrace them knowing that yes, there are things that can kill us, and yes we can be hurt. Eureka's statement at the end of the manga, "Is that how badly you want to be all alone?", is a good reflection of our situation as a race.
That's what I think, anyways. Thoughts?

I actually liked the anime coralians better then the manga ones.. Probably only because I saw the anime before reading the manga. Though I admit both give excellent messages the anime was the first thing I saw which probably caused me to lean more over to that then the manga. Hopefully I can read more about the manga coralians since I've just been introduced to them in the manga.

I really like them both. I think the manga coralians as well show the other side of what humans can do. The anime show the other side. I think they make the manga more of a crazy threat then they did in the anime.
