Anybody else read it? I'm just starting in on it right now and it sounds good. Supposedly there's a movie too, but I've lost my faith in book-based movies as of late.

Someone else has heard of it?! Yay!
Haven't read the book (it was taken out of the library by the time I got there), but the movie was great. Granted, I have nothing to compare it too, but still.

I found it a remarkable book which provided insight into a culture henceforth unexplored. A gripping, moving tale. Dunno about the movie. Hosseini wrote another book, too -- Either A Thousand Splendid Suns or One Thousand Splendid Suns. Forget which. Also good.

Stupid book made me cry in ike every freaking chapter..
It was breath-taking... and exceptionally hard to read at some points, emotionally I mean.
