For like forever i've always wondered what psi is. psi, ki, qi, whatever you call it. So I was just sitting here pondering and I was thinking about the universe being one big ball of energy, and we're all within it. So, if we're all part of this throbbing heap of energy, we essentially are everything lol.
So, basically, you can move the pocket knife in front of you, with enough concentration, focus, and the will to move it. Kinda like your brain tells you to move your arm I guess. You basically tell the knife to move, because it's kind of a limb on your body, universal size...
Sorry if that sounds confusing. Is this the basic idea for PK? If so, ignore me and let this die. I basically just came to the conclusion myself. >_>
Then again, it could all be one big sham, and ima complete nutcase. mrgreen

Thinking like that is pretty much how I was able to begin practice. However, it's best *not* to think when actually performing it. I find a Zen kind of attitude works best; just do it.
Realizing that "all is one" is just sort of removing a mental block as to why it's possible.

Well everyone have they own approche of how psionics work.. But one thing is pretty much the same in all approche.. Forcing yourself when you don't feel like it lead to nowhere.. Like someone before me said, take it Zen...

I just need to applaud you on a brilliant poll. True elegance with words.
Basic answer; Psi/qi/ki/etc is in the simplest terms, life energy. Yes, it courses through everything and binds everything, but not necessarily is what will make two items interact through energy manipulation. Personally, a better experiment would be charging a parrot with enough energy to make it explode in a cloud of feathers. That would never get old...
