I agree on the 'sorry' thing. One of my friend constantly apologises for almost everything, so one day I told her what I had learned the meaning of sorry is. I told her that sorry mean 'I didn't mean to do it and I will try never to do it again'. She completely disagreed with me, which makes me wonder, what does sorry mean to her?
Is it just some word that makes everything better? Or something that is 'polite' to say?

yeah, thats kinda what im getting at. many ppl say "sorry" just because its the "polite" thing to say.
and then they take offense if you dont forgive them and dont just act like everything is alright because they said it.

this is why i wont say sorry and such unless i actually mean it.

According to the Webster's Dictionary Sorry means: Feeling sorrow, regret, or penitence. I do believe in our American Society that we have forgotten how to be nice in public. That is something I have noticed when traveling through Europe and other places out side of America people believe we are the ugly American. Because we do not show respect to those who are trying to help us. I wish in today's society girls would ask guys out. I am afraid to ask another girl out. Because I have told many times who would want to go out with you. Who would want to go out with a fart face like you. I wonder if more marriages would stay intact if the girl would ask the guy out.
