Ok, well I didn't see any threads open for The Dark Half, and I thought it was a great book. So, what did you think about it? I loved the recurring theme with the sparrows, it gave everything a creepy feel that I absolutely loved.

The sparrows are flying again...

Oooo, I loved that too. I thought the book was awesome. Very personal, very spooky. The concept of Thad having the twin that started growing again....awesome. I also loved George and the straight-razor killing spree. That was just plain terrific. I'm a big fan of straight-razors now.

Me too. I believe he shouted something along the lines of "Get back in that room, b***h!" when he was interrupted during one of his murders, that just made me laugh. The whole bit with the pencils was great too.

The Dark Half was my first King book besides The Eyes of the Dragon, which wasn't a real horror book. I loved it when I read it. My favorite murder in it, though, wasn't a straight razer one but when he beats that guy Homer something to death with his own prosthetic limb. Classic.

And then in Needful Things, if you haven't read it, the sheriff Alan Pangborn mentions Thad and how his wife left him with their twins because the whole business turned him into a drunk.

Ha! I forgot about that line. That was hilarious. And she did, didn't she?

The pencils was a nice touch, I agree. Really separated them as writers, if you want to get symbolic. You know what else was cool? The part where he was in that empty "stark" house? I forget how he ended up there, it's been about a year, but it was really creepy.

Yep, she ran right back in. Come to think of it, though, I would have too. I don't remember much of the "stark" house as you put it. It's been a while since I've read that book. The prosthetic limb murder made me laugh a bit, I have to admit. Haha, that rhymed. >_>
