Ah, anyway... sorry for being distracted. I have several pets, a cat named Neko (pronounced NEE-ko, because that pronunciation sounds cuter than "Neck-o", the japanese pronunciation... which prompted the name "Neko wafer") I have a dog named Taylore, who is lazy but very nice. She never bites and likes to sleep a lot.

At my dad's, I have a shitton of animals. Dogs- Souix (or however the indians spell it) Chyanne, Maya, Pipsqueak, Brute and Fox.

Cats- (All your base are belong to us)- Baxter, Diana and Munchkin

Actually, the proper pronunciation of "Neko" would be "neh-ko." The way you wrote it puts the emphasis in the wrong place, as the "ne" and the "ko" are the two symbols/syllables, not "nek" and "o." razz

Anyways, at my parent's house, I've got a dog named Luna (Or Luna-tic), and two cats: Jynx and Princess. But I only love Jynx. <3

And at my general manager's house I pseudo-own a kitten named Athena, and I guess I kind of pseudo-pseudo own a kitten named Nessie. xd

I was kind of thinking, based on a dog's head-size...who is to say they cannot learn human-like activities?

Parrots can learn human activities. I'm talking counting, vocabulary, groups, classification, self, even the concept of zero. And their brains are much tinier.

I have the book containing all the studies done on this guy. I have no idea why he looks so crappy in this video, though... o_O

I'm owned by a cockatiel, Faraday, and have previously cared for:

- three budgies, Finnegan and Flanagan, (both females, collectively the Fightin' Irish) and my first, Feathers (a male).

- a family of 4 finches (say that fast...), dad Fabares, mom Fortier, daughter Feynman (yes, found out post-naming she was a girl) and son Flores.

Ask me anything, Waters. 3nodding

How was owning finches? They seem extremely cute, but not very bright.

Were your budgies hand raised or pet store? Did you have to hand train them?

Why do all of your birds' names start with "F"?

Yeah, they're cute, but dumb. I recommend only females, or just one male, as they're known as "feathered rabbits" and will lay eggs like they're going extinct. They made me smile just by hopping around, though. 4laugh Flores would jump into the water dish with a *ploonk* and hop around and take his little kerfluffle bath. whee

All of my birds, except my first budgie, were from my uncle, who was a breeder before Hurricane Katrina. None of them were ever really trained, but they've been known to eat out of my hand or climb on me occasionally. My tiel likes to chew my hair, glasses, eyebrows, socks, toes, eyelashes eek and, well, anything else she can reach.

xp Sort of a tribute to my first budgie. I have no idea why I named him Feathers, I was 8 and it's an incredibly uncreative name.

I should also mention Zin-chan was a cat lover (as well as a bird lover) and had a few, and his parents currently have something like 20 cats and 20 birds, along with a few dogs. All adopted, many rehabilitated; his dad used to work for the SPCA. They're very good at caring for them, though--they're not "collectors" or anything.

Yay, pets.

I've owned turtles, I had an iguana who committed suicide And I've had three different dogs.

Two were my stepdad's (Bubba and Thor) and one is my baby, Courtney.

I like human names for animals. It makes them like little people. heart

Also, I love budgies. My Grandmother (one of three) had budgies to keep her company. Not to mention the cat that attacked my mother while she was dating her son (my stepdad) XD That cat had to go.

I'm really glad I got a budgie. He's pretty smart, too. He's already learned to sit on my finger for treats.

Me too! I went to check your profile, wondering where you got the rats...stupid expensive evolving items! gonk

My tiel is presently engaged in a ferocious battle with the end of a rope ladder. xd

I never had a rat before, just hamsters (unless you count the wild mice in the house but we caught them and set them free).

I let a rat crawl on me at a bus stop the other day. It was kind of weird, but I like rats better than mice.

I'm actually having to adapt into a cat person, as I'm living with two of them, now. Lillian, a calico-ish kitty, and Nemesis, a black kitty.

God, I miss my puppy. heart crying

I miss having a dog. There was never a point in my childhood that we didn't own at least one dog.

Now my husband and I are looking for a house, so that we can get a dog (and also have a fully stocked bar).
