Okay, what do you get a guy for Valentine's Day?
We just started going out so I don't want to get him something to sentimental that might scare him away...but I want it to be special. Penguins, you got any ideas? heart

I thought that usually the guiy gave the chocolates and roses. How about a hand made card? Or if you feel you canno't make one, buy one, put a poem in it or something.

It doesn't have to be the guy that gives the chocolates or stuffed animals or flowers. I mean, girls can give that kind of thing, too. Guys like chocolates just as much as we do! So you might go browse the Valentine's aisles at some stores to check out what they have. Sometimes you can get some pretty neat candy for not that bad of a price. I don't have any specific ideas, but I think you should go look around at the stores. You might find the perfect thing that you would have never thought of.

Never thought that the chocolate and stuff giving would go round the other way. But then I have only celebreated(?) Valentines day once, and that was nothing to be too happy about. So yeah, I only know the "traditional" way Valentines day works.

Well, I've never technically celebrated Valentine's Day at all, but I do know for a fact that it can go the other way. I'd suggest you be in a relationship for a little while before you give your guy flowers or a teddy bear [because, you know, they're guys] but I think chocolate is perfectly fine.

*Ahem*
Line 17 of page 316, chapter 38 of the "Girls' Dating Handbook" clearly states:
"Thou shalt not buy something for a boytoy unless said boytoy has been involved with you for at least one year. Until this time is up, you are not obliged to purchase anything for him, but he must buy you things or be looked at as a bad boyfriend. If he doesn't buy something for your birthday or another gift-giving holiday, your duty is to cry, shout, and make him feel worthless until he buys you one or more of the following: flowers, candy, a teddy bear, or something that proves that he listens to you (eg: if you've mentioned liking cats, he'd damn well better buy you something with cats on it)."
At least, that's basically what my sister said when I talked to her about this sort of thing. XD Personally, until it gets serious, I think you should buy fun things. (I'm the type to affectionately pick on people. Keep that in mind as you read this.) Like, my then-boyfriend now-ex (thank God) was scared to death of snakes. So for V-day, I bought him a snake plushie with hearts all over it. X3 It could be that I disliked him even then and it was a subconscious impulse... But I mean, something kinda like that. XD
