I keep hearing that the number of participants worldwide is anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000.
I know there's no way to be 100% sure, but can we get a stable, accurate number up in here?

Maybe we can add up the subtotals that we ourselves came up with. My count, before I lost track, at peak, was around 250 in San Francisco.

My count, before I lost track, at peak, was around 250 in San Francisco. that's what I've been doing with accumulated area totals, but even those are a bit unstable. I was at the Chicago one, and there were about 100 people, but I've heard others say there were 75-200 people.

DC had 250+ people logged. that isnt including people who showed up later, who were following along at home, who simply didn't report that they were there. March 15 will hopefully have a better counting system.
but the closest number I've heard was 7500 people confirmed. add the unconfirmed and the smaller unofficial protests you get closer to 10,000.

www.xenu.net news February 10th 2008 an Internet group named Anonymous called for demonstrations against the Church of Scientology globally. Over 7,600 people attended peaceful pickets in front of 108 Church of Scientology locations across 17 countries. This was the larges organized picket against this cult ever!
