What happens is, every year, random people get selected and invited to this guild, and this random-a** group of people (from all forums) does whatever they want. Some weird mental game the captain plays to liven up his guild, I guess.
Anyway, by chance I became co-captain. The real captain is hardly ever around, but I talked to him enough to get the standard 'It's yours now, do as you please" green light.
This guild literally has no rules. I've had a blast doing whatever I feel like in it. However, I've not abused my privileges.
I felt like sharing something I feel was important today: The election of crew members.
The guild was getting slower, so the guild decided we needed more people to be randomly invited. I made a thread asking who wanted to invite loads of random people, because I didn't have enough time to do it.
Four people replied, and I just promoted them all, with the disclaimer of "Just don't go around editing/deleting people's posts."
After that I went about my schoolwork, which was I guess 9 hours of me not being there. When I came back, it wasn't a huge mess, as I was somewhat expecting. A new thread was stickied, but it was useful (Birthdays) and two threads were edited.

You're all in the process of being promoted.
Just don't go around editing/deleting a bunch of people's posts. Except this one because I'm kind and I secretly love all you guys. *Hugs* - [Q]
EDIT:
So I was willing to let this one slide until I saw the other topic. Congrats, you're no longer crew.
I said I was serious.
Hopefully nobody else will make the same mistake.

Yeah. It's okay though, I was only planning on inviting like...1 person. I just wanted to see how far I could get before I got demoted (I honestly thought that was going to get me banned, though) 3nodding
Just so you know, the big text wasn't me.
The big text she's talking about and thread I'm refer to is the following:
[Q]

I was reading his topic sand their replies, it seemed you guys all hated him, so I bannedhad SUPER KINKY, school-boy roleplay, rough sex with him. I didn't like him much, either.
If you were all joking and I took the posts the wrong way, let me know and I'll invite him back.
But yes, if you don't believe me check the memberlist.
I know I'm usually joking about things, but this time I'm actually being serious.
So, critique/comments, etc.
I lol'd, in all honesty, but they went against what I specifically said not to do.
So I made another thread:
[Q]

I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed that you all specificaly went against what I said.
You were promoted specifically to invite people, and that was it. I can deal with announcifying/stickying threads you want to if they're useful, etc.
After all, this guild doesn't really have any rules, HOWEVER
when I specifically said don't go around editing posts, I MEANT IT.
I have demoted TonyTokyo, but as stated previous, she says she didn't edit the trowa topic.
I'm going to trust her, and ask that whoever did edit that topic to step forward, via PM or in this thread, whatever, and I'm not even going to cover this one up: You'll be demoted.
I know you're all active, so tomorrow (Wednesday) night, if the person who edited that topic doesn't step up, I'm going to demote everyone I promoted.
Don't get me wrong, I love being the funny guy and making jokes, but to me responsibility is serious, and there is a line I didn't want crossed, and you crossed it anyway.
So make the right decision. confused
Crewmember doesn't log who edits who's posts, which I am getting more angry at each passing hour. D<
Regardless, I feel like using peer pressure in this way was useful.
Comments?
It's weird, I just felt like sharing this.
I've never been a captain of a guild without rules, before. Frankly, I am in LOVE with this guild, BECAUSE it has no rules.
But I'm on the verge of making some ground rules because of this incident. :/
