This theory is heavily based on 3 recently fully-evolved evomon.

It is my personal belief that we can determine the final evolution of a given evomon by looking at its previous stages and looking into possibly important details.

First case: Pora Bear/Ice

First evolution: Ice on my head
Second evolution: Baby Bear
Third evolution: (a larger) Ice Bear
Fourth evolution: Guard (shield)

Details to note: growth in body similar to Snorlax's structure to take more damage

Conclusion: Primarily defensive in nature.

Second case: Tama's Basket

First evolution: Egg in a basket
Second evolution: hatching
Third evolution: Baby tama
Fourth evolutions:
  • Guard on head
  • Shoulder Buddy
  • Warrior (carrying a bamboo spear)
  • Leaping
  • Bamboo grove
  • Spear

Details to note: Small stature, simple weapon, alert.

Conclusion: Primary emphasis on swift attack - speed and evasion likely as well (noted by Triskellion)

Third Case: Fausto's Bottle

First evolution: Innocence - Essence in bottle
Second evolution: Yearning - starting to escape
Third evolution: Release - essence fully escapes
Fourth evolution: Genesis - formation
5ifth evolution: Freedom - first stage
6ixth evolution: Unnamed stage - developing into full potential
7eventh evolution: Descent - full realization of a warrior
8ighth evolution: Apocalypse - reformation into genesis state - embryonic to restrain its power
9inth evolution: Omega - a sword

Details to note: Feisty, turbulent, metamorphosizing

Conclusion: Primarily offensive in nature. However, possible that it's critical hit rate, along with Hit/Miss Ratio, is low.

A very astute observation Ysud. I see what you're saying...

...I would have guessed the Tama to be primarily a speed/evasive evomon.

Brilliant theory, Ysud. Perhaps this could further our reserach in what to bring when we attempt to capture Timmy.

Agate:
Egg
Crack in egg
Demanding hatchling
scratching hatchling
roaring gryphon

conclusion: Agate is very offensive-attack oriented.

Timmy could have undergone a normal evolution, perhaps. But his being put in contact with an evolution slime (read as "toxic waste") forced a change, similar to when you expose a Eevee to a water/fire/thunder stone instead of having them evolve like they do in Gold/Silver.
