FoF is a free game for the PC. FoF is basically Guitar Hero with downgraded graphics. But, it has a Song Editor, so you can edit the three songs it comes with or make your own. You can also download songs for it online. It's played with the function keys F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 and you strum with the Enter key, but you can change the key configuration. It has a tutorial and cheats, only two, one plays the song for you and the other just finishes the song. In FoF, you never get booed offstage, which is good, because there is no practice mode. There are high scores (unless you use the cheats) and I'm pretty sure you can upload your scores. I find FoF a very fun and enjoyable game. It's a free version of GH, some parts better, some parts worse. The game itself is about 50 MB, but some song downloads can range from 500 KB to 750 MB (which is a song pack).

Frets On Fire Songs (from GH) Download

Through The Lightning and The Thunder (A Custom Song I Made Available To Download) (STORY: I was bored at school, so I started messing around, writing a ridiculously hard song. It was one page, front only. How did that convert into a 6 minute song? After I put the notes on that paper into FoF, I decided to make it longer. So I manually added the songs with no chart already pre-made. I made over 5 minutes of the song up as I went.)

THIS IS MADNESS (Another Custom Song) (STORY: I decided to go crazy with Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs, and this was the outcome.)

The Geno Project (Yet Another Custom Song) (STORY: This is my favorite custom song. I was bored at school [once again] and, over the course of three days, I wrote this song. It was six pages long, front only. The entire song was pre-charted and the whole song I wrote at school was actually too long. Bark At The Moon [the song playing in the background] ended before all of the pre-charted notes could be transfered into FoF. Meaning, this isn't the whole song. All that's missing is a couple notes, maybe 5-10 seconds worth, but still. I'm most proud of this one since I didn't make it up as I went, it's the most possible, and the most fun to play.)

The Geno Project [Project Two] (Yep. Another Custom Song) (STORY: Same old story, bored at school, etc. The song was entirely pre-charted with some modifications here and there. Over the course of two days, this 5 page long, front side only, song was charted. I put together two projects and this was the outcome [hence the name Project Two. It's also the second project of Project Geno. Put simply, it's part 2]. This is the most fun to watch [with the cheat that makes the computer play for you], especially near the end. This is probably the easiest to play [although still very tough], so I think you'll enjoy playing/watching this one almost as much I as did making it.)

Vedicardi's Song Packs

My custom songs are pretty ridiculous, but they're good for a laugh.

Yeah I have this, I play it using my Guitar Hero guitar. It isn't half a half bad of a game.

Whoa.. How do you play it with your guitar?

Well I just use my 360's guitar and download the thing from xbox.com to use it on my computer. Then I just configured the joy-stick controls to it and thats pretty much what I did.
