A new week has started so come and post your poems.
Also go back to week 5 and vote for a winner!
Good luck to all.
Here is something by me to get you all going.
Untitled
Time has passed by so fast It feels like only yesterday, That we met and fell in love.
Now, I am all alone, Looking back on it all. Trying to find where we went wrong.
My heart is breaking. Why did you have to go? Can't you see how I need you?
I begged, I pleaded, I cried to you. You were unmoved by my love, Your eyes looked so cold.
Never before had I felt such an icy stare. I wrapped my arms around you, I did not want you to go.
You pushed me away, And told me that we were no more. I watched you turn your back on me.
Why did this have to be? Now we love no more.

The houses pride and joy
She is a fantasy girl says the dragon pictures on her wall. Music is her life, says the CDs and radio on her desk. A clever girl says the rows of books on the shelves. Not too clean says the dust bunnies under the bed.
A cat lives here say the toys in the room. Grandparents own it, says the senior specials littered around the house. Gramma's girl says the walls. Grandpas pride and joy whispers the windows looking in on his room outside.
Something went right says the report card on the wall. Worked hard for what she's got says the pencil dancing over the paper. Gonna make it big says the glasses in their case. The house seems to swell with pride at what its little girl had done. She'd stepped up and worked for what she wanted. Something went right they say
=) something I thought up for a and english assignment it's not the best but.. eh i like it

Eh, I think I wrote it when I was ... 17?
Soft Serve Emotion Silent screams pierce my vision through the mirror, all looks distorted, everyday life in faded glory eyes, mezmorized by children these days raised by a forceful, fearful hand; molded instead of grown, no beliefs of their own. Grab a pen and write how you feel, slit your wrists because you're loved too much. Highlight pain and push repeat; guilt trip. Soft serve emotion.

I am feeling all the dread now for the past and from the present it has build up all inside me there is no way of forgetting of the things that i did wrong of the things that i cannot change now... They flash in my head giving passage to the nightmares keeping me from sleeping in the darkness of the night I cry till i fall asleep making me to tired to dream at all yet, still it tortures me through the day making me want to scream how do i keep my mouth shut thats a mystery to even me I feel weaker by the day and tired from lack of sleep yet still the thoughts come racing never slacking never braking... when will it ever end?
