ok so, a couple of people came down to visit today, so we all decided (6 of us) to go out...totally normal
but, this obviously involved alcohol, and me+alcohol=too much thinking...
annnnnnnnnnd...now i'm sobering up...just got a ringing in my ears...i have what seems to be a potentially serious dilemna...
about a week ago i made a thread about a greatgreat friend...now i think i may be falling for him slightly...
he's amazing...like...if i had to pick my favourite person, it'd be him...i love him to pieces...
and i dunno what to do, 'cos i'm in love already, but, my mind keeps wondering to my friend...alot more than is normal for me...
help...please

I have been in that situation..
What I had to think of was "Who will I be better of with?" And by that I mean emotionally as well. Who will support you best? 'Cause you have to admit it, us gals can get very emotional, and we need a guy that will understand that. Think of, if you had a relationship with your friend, would it be better than the one you already have? But then there is also the factor of, does he like you in the same way?
Some more questions to consider: Who has more in common with you? Who thinks more realistically? As in, who will only spend money on you when he knows he can afford it? etc. Who do you feel more comfortable/relaxed around? Who makes you smile more? Who treats you with more respect? (Although I guess that is about the same) Who listens to you most? Who is less irrational? Something you really need to consider with men, what is his temper like? Does he get angry easily? Who has the best lookout of the future? To be honest, if he has no plans for the future other than "To spend my life with you" Then you will have a crap life, seriously. Who have you known longer?
I broke up with my fiance to be with one of my closest friends, who I had known much longer, and everything is so much better now! Because he got to know me as a friend first, he understands alot more about me. And because it was just a friendship, before it became a romantic friendship, we got to see what each other was like as they are every day.
Not to be purswading(sp?) you towards your friend. >_<
Oh, and think of how your friends relationships have been..
Umm.. Can't think of any more at the moment. Hope it helps a little though.
There is much more to consider than just this.
But most important, regardless of others, what is best for YOU?

What I'd do, and I don't know if this is the best situation, but I'd take a break from the "in love" part. I'd totally explore the crush and see if anything develops with that. I know it's funny to say, but what if this crush is better for you? You feel better when he's around, etc. All that "in love" stuff. (because I honestly have no clue how you'd feel when you're in love. I'm being serious.)

Then that's why. ^-^ If you hang around somebody for long amounts of time, than can cause in a crush. :] Spend some time with him and see how your heart and mind react compared to how you feel around the other guy.

Who will support you best? 'Cause you have to admit it, us gals can get very emotional, and we need a guy that will understand that.: thing is, my friend is amazing at cheering me up and just taking my mind off things and letting me know that if it's better, i can talk to him...but, the guy i love makes it just as clear
Think of, if you had a relationship with your friend, would it be better than the one you already have? i dunno about this...what we have now is great...comfortable silencea and all that jazz
But then there is also the factor of, does he like you in the same way? i dunno!! he's a confusing bugger >.<
Some more questions to consider: Who has more in common with you? haha, hard to tell, actually...i love Alan to pieces...we have so much fun together, which is why i'm confused Who thinks more realistically? As in, who will only spend money on you when he knows he can afford it? etc. that's easy... Alan would...Dan spends far too much on me no matter how often i tell him it's unnecessary Who do you feel more comfortable/relaxed around? I'm completely myself with Alan...and Dan...but there's different ways i'm myself... Who makes you smile more? they both do...but in different ways. I can just look at Alan and he'll make me laugh and smile so much, but then Dan talks to me and i smile constantly... Who treats you with more respect? (Although I guess that is about the same) the same...though Alan takes the piss alot then is like "you know i don't mean it!" Who listens to you most? hmmm... Who is less irrational? not sure what you mean.. Something you really need to consider with men, what is his temper like? Does he get angry easily? Alan has his wee fits, lol, but he's the last eprson i'd ever expect to get aggressive, and Dan is the same... Who has the best lookout of the future? To be honest, if he has no plans for the future other than "To spend my life with you" Then you will have a crap life, seriously. hmm, Dan says that alot, but he plans too...Alan not so much, lol Who have you known longer? known Alan longer, but only got to know him recently, but we're uber close...

I looked up irrational in the dictionary, but that is too confusing. Basically it means doing something with out thinking about it.. Umm an exsample.. Ummm... sweatdrop Ok, well the thesaurus has some other words that might help you understand. Absurd, brainless, foolish, mindless, nonsensical, reasonless, ridiculous, senseless, unsound, unstable, unthinking, wild, and the one that made me laugh, though I don't understand it - cockamamie.
