I accidentally ran over a rabbit on my way back from my mates house tonight. I'm actually in a state of shock and don't really know how I feel at the moment. It was by far the worst driving experience I've had so far.
I tried to dodge him, but I ended up clipping it with the rear wheel. I went out to check what I had hit, as all I saw was a blur run in front of the car, and turns out it was a rabbit.
Fortunately, the rabbit wasn't in pain as it had a quick death (or I hope so...). I lifted it off the road and placed him in the bushes and literally sat in my car by the side of the road for 15 minutes panicking.
My friends are telling me that there was nothing I could do (they were riding in back), but I just feel god damn terrible. It was a little white rabbit, i'm guessing it was a bit bigger than a bunny.
I honestly hope this never happens to me again...

I remember my first and thus far only experience with road kill.
I was driving to campus one morning and had reached school... there is a part of the drive that turns from a 2 way into a one way so there's no way to swirve at part of it. Right on the small median was a squirrel and I was hoping that it would either stay there or scurry off in the opposite direction. Sadly this wasn't the case... the cute, furry guy was evidently emo and committed sepuku with my car. I was upset for the rest of the day.
I feel your pain. crying
