What happened?

At one point in time, she may have been fun, loving and tolerable, but trust became her worst enemy. The beautiful light, dark and gold beautiful white and gold Uuthli Jivvin allowed herself to trust her bonded human and in turn was abandoned to fend for herself. Such an experience is spirit breaking, it's said that some don't survive after such a blow, but this one was strong, though not unbreakable, and forced her to become what we all know and love today.

Sanyu is witty, smartarsed, malicious and independent, she believes that one day everyone's just going to leave her so why attempt to get to know anyone.

Before coming to live with Monk, which is what he now called himself, she was just beginning to become very comfortable with her temporary foster home with X. Perhaps she liked it so much because there were so many distractions that she was left alone for a lot of the time. There was something serene about peace among chaos that calmed the anger dwelling within her, it was a nice shift of pace.

However, X felt bad for the beauty upon the brink of forming a bond with her and handed her over to Monk, whom she believed would be best suited for her and give her what she needed, not desired. There was a condition attached to the charge however, Monk had to bring her by the center at the very least three times a week or else she'd take her back. Not thinking deeply about why X, his most of the time bitchy ex wife would give him such an amazing gift, he accepted it with open arms.

Over zealously he brought Sanyu to his house and introduced him to his own slew of 3 children, losing him any chance of gaining respect that he could have hoped to gain from her. Though there was a bit of chaos here, it was at such a different pace than it was at X's, Monkey was raising these three all on his own, immediately Sanyu missed it and decided right there that she was going to make him give her back to X.

Monkey's first mistake was offering her any room in the house she wanted, including his own. Luckily for him though, she saw more that he could do to the attack than he could anywhere else. She designed out a blue print for him of how she wanted her room to look and until then lived in the basement as cut off from the rest of the children as she could, she had no intention of forming a bond with any of them. Monkey and X were ex's for a reason, so if she thought he wasn't good enough for her, then she just had to show X that he wasn't good enough for the Jivvin either.

At first Monk barely got her out of her room, he had to take her her food or ask her what she wanted to do but got no response. Silent nods or shakes of the back of a head was all he got. But he was so happy to just have her in the house that he had the patience to wait for her to come around to him.

Everyday Monk sent the kids off to school and then to a friends house while he worked on the basement then fixed them dinner when they came home, spent time with them and then went back to working on the attic after they went to sleep being as quiet as he could until wee hours of the morning only to wake up at 7am and do it all over again. It took him 9 months of this to complete the room, but Sanyu decided it wasn't what she wanted anymore. So she redid the diagram and made him go back to work for another 10 months before he finished it this time, this model included a huge sun window and a balcony.

A hefty shopping spree later, Sanyu moved into her new room expecting to be sent out anytime. She might as well enjoy herself while she was staying now. It was the least that the simple man deserved for raising his three kids and completing such an enormous task for someone he was just going to kick out. Everyday she remained, she got a little discouraged as if the nighttime moved the house farther and farther away. That was it, she'd have to step up the game.

The decision she came to was to grace the family with her voice. To Monkey she was mean, cruel and an all around conniving b***h, but around the children all he did was laugh and shake it off as if she were the most hilarious thing ever. To the children she planted evils of nightmares, and monsters in their heads to keep the father figure running around in circles at night from them all crying. Oh how it was sweet music to her ears.

But eventually they got too old to believe it and began shunning her, not understanding why their father even kept her around, but never really bothered to ask. There was never a pleasant moment about her, as long as you don't count the moment's of her departure.

Eventually the kids moved out and then it was just Monk and Sanyu for a long time, both so bored and depressed to really leave the house. Bad case of boredom meets empty nest syndrome. At first the two rarely saw each other accept for the few times that either Sanyu demanded food or Monk called her to get her food so that they could eat in separate rooms.

Then something bad happened, they both got sick at the same time. Monk had contracted some type of virus that was too long to remember or pronounce and Sanyu contracted a virus as well, the two were similar and caused from almost the same thing. Where Monk had started drinking and stopped caring for himself, Sanyu had began staying up at all hours of the night and going out in the rain to commit random crimes of the land to keep herself occupied. For all intensive purposes, they both had a very serious and very miserable cold which no one else wanted to be around to care for them.

One of them had to take one for the team, and it sure as hell wasn't Sanyu. She'd never done a nice thing for Monk a day in her life and wasn't planning on starting now, sick or not.

Monk's skin, hair and eyes were all a very repulsing mixture of blue and green but he went up and down the steep flight of stairs to and from Sanyu's room to clean after her, cook for her, carried her from place to place, turned the channel for her on the tv, rented movies for her (online of course) and apologized every time he so much as sneezed in her presence. Not once did she thank him as his condition worsened and her improved, nor did she feel the need for it, though the thought was slowly beginning to creep into her mind along with the tiniest bit of guilt. So to push it away, she pushed Monk harder making him go up and down the stairs more, never letting him sleep unless she was.

Then it came, he exploded. Many words were said , only to be interrupted by random and violent bloody coughs. The speech itself was very truthful, very honest and very blunt. Monkey was not blind, and he would not have this any longer.

After he stormed back downstairs and slammed the door at the base of the stairs he went into his room and slammed his door and passed out on his bed, leaving Sanyu in utter shock and disbelief that the human even knew that many cuss words.

Sanyu thought about it for a little while and came the the conclusion that the man had never lied to one of his children for his own personal gain in his life and probably wouldn't start now whether he was any degree of angry or not so he had to be telling her the truth, what she needed to hear. Was that what X sent her there for? But that's just it, as she analyzed her decision she discovered that she was one of his children and that it would be easier on both of them if she just accepted it and moved along. Though their bond would never be as strong as it was with her first, she'd be able to live with this. She could have left at anytime, but she knew she couldn't leave Monk to fend for himself, she needed him as he needed her. And now he needed her more than ever, the blood on her wooden floor made that apparent.

The light in which she looked at him was now forever changed. Over the next couple of weeks the two weren't chummy, but they had deep long serious conversations about both of their pasts and what made both of them the way they were. Sanyu's original evaluation of the factor that X and Monkey were divorced was completely off base, she was good enough for him in one point in time in her life, which was why Sanyu needed him.

Though they silently swore never to speak of this entire ordeal again, the two now understood who the other was and respected it.

To the outsider they still look like the trapped miserable Uuthli that hates where she's at and who she's with (especially with another SMO infant in the house) and the zealously big hearted man who was charged with her safety and well being. But they know, that that's no longer the case...
