First-- the very first thing you've gotta know about Libertarians and libertarians is that we're a fairly diverse group within the framework of what the liberty movement stands for. So there are numerous "types" of libertarian/Libertarian people.
Second, this list will almost certainly get edited as I remember more, and get permission on some smaller sites to list them.
www.lp.org The Libertarian National Committee. We call ourselves the Party of Principle. There are state organizations and county affiliates as well (in most counties anyhow) but these are best found via search from the main site. For instance, I live in Riverside County California... www.ca.lp.org is the California party, www.rclp.org the county affiliate.
www.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Libertarian_Party some nice background and nice layout of our ideas.
www.theadvocates.org. Want to know where you are in the political spectrum? this organization has the World's Smallest Political Quiz which can help.
www.free-market.net not necessarily LP, but libertarian economics discussion.
www.freetarian.com WWE meets LP, Val Venis explains his views.
www.cato.org a "beltway" libertarian organization, somewhat divergent libertarian thought.
www.mises.org the Von Mises Institute, Austrian and libertarian economics.
www.ronpaul2008.com He may be GOP but he's a life member of the LP and running a semi-libertarian (running right) campaign. He's an interesting fella, that's for sure.
www.DownsizeDC.org Ever wonder what a libertarian would tackle in their political priorities? These guys are doing it.
www.libertarianalternative.org is produced by my friend Mark, former Southern Vice Chair of the LP of California. I believe he is on medical hiatus from activism at this time. He's a good example of a progressive Libertarian, one thing we share.
Another relatively local one, and one I can't post without a tear in my eye-- www.freedomtofascism.com Aaron Russo is now dead but he was one heck of a crazy guy in life. He failed a bid to run in the LP for Prez in '04 and then convinced Ron Paul to make his current bid. When you listen to him, think "rise and fall of the Roman Empire"....
(I think you're seeing by now how diverse we can be-- Hollywood TV guys meet pro wrestlers meet Texan doctor-congresscritters meet Beltway think tanks.)
