I've tried but never been able to do it ether. Your doing better then someone I know who can't tongue at all!

I can't double tounge very well at all. So I asked the band director for a different part, he gave me first trombone which has the melody in half notes, weird.

Lucky for you i can!..but yea a good way to learn i would say is to practice tounging 2 times as fast as ya can..and just keep working at it till you have it down to how you need it (i would say more but i was kinda a natural at it so...really hard to explain..hope that helps though)

Try a different articulation. "Tah"(or "Toh") is just too slow for some. Maybe something closer to a "da"(I couldn't explain either sweatdrop )
On another note, if you want to tongue really fast (Think the intro for the star wars "imperial march"), try a "di-ga-da-da"(fast) articulation. For those who never did this before this will feel weird, and will probably sound slurred, but just practice, and soon you will be able to announce Darth Vader's arrival anytime!

i have trouble with it too... its liek my toungue gets tangled up or something when i try to double tongue haha.. ive been working on it though... gonk

well what my band director has us do is we say "ti- ca- ta" and the ti and the ta are said with the front of the tongue, and the ca is said in the back of the throat (or on the back of the tongue)

Try saying tooca (It should sound a little like the bird, toucan)
That's what I do, and it seems to work.
