First off, I'd like to thank the fine folks who participated in the contest, both by submitting entries and helping with the judgment. The decision was not an easy one, and I must admit that the judges were split at first. But, after careful thought (and a bit of unfortunate procrastination on my part), we are ready to announce a winner.
Congratulations, Rinn Raven!This is the official thread for the first DoRP TekTek Avi Contest!
Here's how it works:
Go to
www.tektek.org. Create a 'dream Avi,' and post it in this thread. Your post may include the following:
1: The Avi submission (required)
2: The name of the submission (optional)
3: A brief description/rationale/mini-story, etc (optional)
The contest opens immediately and runs until February 22nd (official Gaia time). Any submissions posted after the 22nd will not be considered. Judges will consist of the Guild staff, who may decide for themselves whether to participate or not, and up to five others. Non-staff judges must send me a PM alerting me that they wish to judge. They will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Anybody participating as a judge may not submit an Avi to the contest. After the 22nd, the judges will discuss the entries and vote on a winner. The creator of the winning entry will receive a sealed Gaia Thank-you letter from the month of February, 2008.
Please note: This is the contest thread. The only thing in this thread should be submissions. No discussion or comments. All of that goes in the companion 'comments and discussion' thread. Any posts other than submissions will deleted.
