"Momma." A small male voice cried out from the gate to the park. A woman was holding it open as she tightly gripped the hand of a small boy whose pale blue eyes appeared to be looking everywhere but no where. He looked small for his age but appeared to contain the amount of energy needed for every eight year old. (Don't remember his age^^ wink .
"Momma, I want to swing." He called out to her as he looked up at the woman next to him. She had a soft smile on her face as she reached down and picked him up into her arms.
"And swing you shall. You have been a good boy all morning. I promised you I would take you here." She said with a laugh in her voice as she walked towards where many other parents sat with their children. In luck, there was a swing open not to far from the bench.
"There you are." She said softly as she placed him down on the ground. Letting go of him, Sirene stood back and watched as he adopted son slowly made his way towards the swing. It took him a little longer than most but his hazed eyes gave him enough shadows to make out the open swing. Sitting on it, he started to soar into the air.
"Be careful Jiyuu!" Sirene called out as she watched her blind son from the park bench.

Kiyu held both girls' hands tightly as they went into the playground. It wasn't that they didn't get out at home, living in what amounted to a giant park, but they couldn't meet new people there. After they had been shut inside for several days by rain, she made the executive decision to bring them to Gaia for a little outing. There was a picnic basket slung on one arm, and a checkered blanket draped over the other. But before they could find a place to eat, the girls had spotted the playground and demanded to come in.
"Now, you two make sure to be careful. And don't play too hard. And-"
"We know!" they chorused, looking at each other and giggling. Then, in one fluid motion, they broke away from Kiyu and ran towards the playground equipment. There was so much to do... what would they try first?
"Oh, the see-saw!" Halcyon exclaimed, taking a few steps towards it. "Come on, Hess, I wanna go on that one!"
Hestia wrinkled her nose. "Not me. It would mess my dress up!" As if this had already happened, she smoothed out imaginary wrinkles in her pink jumper. "What about that?" she asked, pointing to the monkey bars.
"Bo-ring," Halcyon retorted, sticking her tongue out. Then it hit her. "I know-"
"- the slide!" Hestia finished, and they both giggled again as they scrambled to find free swings, brushing up a bit against the boy who was already swinging.

Jiyuu was on the way down from a very high swing. As he hit just at the middle of the return, he felt something soft brush up against him. Being his feeling of touch was so high, he could make out the feeling of fur. An animal?
Then, voices hit his ears. No animal. It was female and by the sound, two of them? Was he mistaken but the two voices sounds a little different from each other but similar no the less.
Dragging his feet, just a bit, his pale eyes looked towards them. Slowly he could make out the shadowy figures of others on the swings near him. Trying to be able to make out who, or even what, he kept staring at them.

There were two free swings, one on each side of the boy. Ideally they would have sat next to each other, but since that wasn't an option, they both shrugged and sat on either side. Their feet barely touched the ground, but it was enough to get moving, and Kiyu had taught them about pumping.
Once they had been swinging for a few moments, Halcyon started to get restless. She wanted to talk. But it would be rude to yell across to her sister without talking to the boy in the middle... even if he wasn't talking to them. "Are you having fun?" she asked, the question vague enough that anyone could reply if they wanted to.
Hestia bit her lip. She knew what Halcyon was going for, and decided to wait for a few minutes, to see if the boy would answer.
Once she was sure that the two were playing nicely, Kiyu took a seat on the park bench, putting the basket on the ground next to her and the blanket in her lap. It was a quiet afternoon, and not many kids were in the playground. Maybe they were at school, or busy with other activities. Whatever reasoning, she smiled at the woman next to her and fished in her basket for a small cloth bag, containing what looked like an embroidery project in progress.
