I've heard people saying "I've been convicted about head covering" lately, and I don't know what that means. The material at
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/convict seems to suggest that all meanings of the word involve guilt over criminal or immoral activity.
Thus, saying "I've been convicted about head covering" suggests to me a meaning something like, "I have a criminal record or court conviction with regard to head covering." As far as I know, there aren't any laws about head covering in most countries in the world.
Could someone please 'translate' that into something that makes sense to a non-Christian? I've noticed that it only gets said by Christians, so I'm assuming that the terminology has a meaning that isn't apparent by reading the definitions provided by mainstream dictionaries.
