Out of four horns/mellos I'm the only girl. It's been like that for ages. But there are two girls coming in next year who will be in my section, and one of the guys is graduating, so the the women will finally rule the section. Yes!

I'm the only female in my trombone section[Out of 3 boys]...But I don't mind. I don't associate with two of them. But one of them, I do.
There's also one girl trumpet, of of three boys. The there's two girl horns out of two boys.

Our brass section is pretty much half and half. There are only 2/6 trombone players that are girls, and one is me. C:

for competition band we have 4 trombone girls. out of the 11 trombones. we used to have a girl baritone but she was forced to play bass clarinet instead and joined the saxes.
girls (not to be all egotistic or stereotypical) they say don't play as loud as the boys do, but we have more accuracy and pay attention to dynamics more than the boys do...that's just what they say... sweatdrop
for regular band, there are only two trombones, and I, being one of them, and the other one is our ace trombone.
We have a girl mello that is a freshman and is the sister of our ace trombone. she's still a lil young, but i'm sure shes got talent just as her sister does.
We used to have 2 amazing female trumpets. One went on to drum corps, and the other one, although she stopped playing when she graduated, she was really good, although she didnt play as loud as the other trumpet (her ex bf lmaoo) she had plenty of accuracy and was given many of the solos at times.
