maybe i didn't. the whole point of the time theory (aside from sounding awesome and possible) was a social experiment. SADLY only two people even replied in here, and one person in another guild. the point of this experiment was to see what kind of people fit where in society (or at least on gaia) and follow up by why? ive always been interested in why people are attracted to magic, science, so on. i have come to a conclusion though... people in pure science guilds are a**-hats. emo over a three week period, they disappointed me by replying to the other silly threads (a pure science guild answering instead to questions like "hey guys hows school?" instead of something semi possible time theory)...
(i quit the guild, because even we are more scientific then they are. xd the second guild i posted the solid time theory in, i made the prediction that everyone would agree in an attempt to seem smart compared to their peers, and at the same time try to correct me either in part or whole. (i wont mention which guild.... fluffy bastards...)-they did what i expected, except they (the only person who replied there) agreed and said it was perfectly possible or something like that (quit that one too). which left me with the MPRILC, which failed to disappoint me because it was perfectly intelligent in its response.
why do you all take interest in magic and psionics? what drives you to learn all you can? why are fluffys attracted to fluffy places? why dont they want to REALLY learn? why do they feel the need to be cool or act like they know everything about anything when they know little about nothing?
sorry for such a long thing because i doubt more then 8 of you all will read it, and sorry for the many questions.

MikeeBoi1029 is this about the time travel toilet? yeah that combined with the time is solid thread when i had the epiphany it had nothing to do with this psychological evaluation. gotta admit though, i thought more people would think my idea was... replyable to.

If you believe in the idea that "like attracts like", which many people in occult fields do, then I guess that's one explanation of why fluffy people congregate, the same with pseudoscientist asshats. I imagine it works the same here. We seem to be a group of people that are interested in the hidden aspects of the world, yet we still remain skeptical so we don't end up in "I told you so" positions. Or at least that's what I think about us most of the time.
Some people are more interested in illusions of grandeur than actually learning; more interested in fantasy and theory than actually trying anything.
I like to think that here we actually like to try stuff, but I feel that a lot of the time cynicism seems to stifle the creativity and desire to share things. I think the greatest fear of this guild as a collective is being perceived as just another guild of fluffies.
But hey, that's just me.

The reason I haven't posted too much recently is school is sucking out my soul, leaving me with little to no time or energy to work on anything occult, as much as I'd love to.

"Fluffies" as you call them, are attracted to "fluffy" places because, well, learning isn't their objective. They want a place where they can go to show off. "Look what I can do!" sort of thing (no, Stuart is no fluffy). They want to talk about what they know as if it's absolute fact and get into screaming matches with everyone who either a) disagrees with them or b) pretends to be able to outdo them. When they feel threatened, they flip the ******** out. See also: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11625851See also: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=4575917See also: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11780139But regardless. They don't want to learn. They don't want to share knowledge. They want everyone to obey them mindlessly and without question. They've convinced themselves that they're special, and nothing short of death will convince them otherwise. In short, they want to be right. That's it. Also, I wouldn't take too much from your little experiments. It's hard to gauge people's reactions over the internet, and it wasn't controlled enough to have any sort of true basis. I'm not trying to put you down or anything, I'm just saying that I wouldn't, you know, justify things with it. This isn't society. It's a forum. A collection of individuals, many of which have levels of intelligence slightly above average. By definition, we're not society. We're getting away from society. I suppose we are a society, but we are not society.

Well, my excuse is since my computer has recently developed alzheimers in a serious set of conditions, I'm not really able to be online when its convienent for me. As such, I'm either at a friends house thats about 2 hours from my home, or at an internet cafe an hour from home, and paying $2.30 per hour of computer use. I don't really have the time to reply/post, and I have priorities over gaia too...
Shame you posted this, I would have eventually gotten to responding when I had a computer at home, but it would seem redundant now.

I know you do, Azzy, I was talking to the topic creator. You probably already know I do Social Anthropology for my major, with dabblings in Social and Evolutionary (lol) psychology.
