A poem I found online:

Divinity
Don’t tell me of divinity for
I saw blades meet flesh for faith
While no harm had been done,
I smelled the burning ruins of cities
Wrecked by a godly wrath,
I heard screams for a scrap of pity
Which were answered with more rocks,
I tasted the hypocrisy
Which is foundation for foolishness,
And I felt the pain in banishment
From mankind for being true.

So don’t tell me of divinity for
Angels have fallen for me long ago.

Whoever wrote that is a little cynical, but they have a point. Atrocities committed in the name of religion... of course, it doesn't seem like they've ever heard of apotheosis...

Wrong faith. . .
I don't know.... It kind of seems like it could be applied to a lot of different faiths and religions.

Christianity, Islam, Judaism... nearly every religion except Buddhism. 'Cuz any kind of conflict is anathema to Buddhists. You can go into one of the temples and slap a monk upside the head and he'll ask you why you did it. Hit him again and he'll apologize for having offended you. Except those Shaolin guys; you don't wanna mess with warrior-monks.

It's quite insulting really, but also... very true.
