(This is a Roleplay between darkelementaldemon and I, also allowing Tekkianna to join if she wishes, If you'd like to join or have a good idea for the plot please feel free to PM [x~Ripple~x] for permission to join!)

High in the sky a hot ball of fire beamed down onto the one of many isles below, well at least it would have done had it been a nice day. There was a sun up there somewhere hidden above dark clouds, swelling at their harsh edges. Clouds don't have eyes but if they did they would most certainly be scowling down at the lion patrolling one of the isles below, a evil glint that would suggest a line somewhat along the lines of Come on little p***y cat lets have some fun...
The lion was slinking between the tree's occasionally stopping and peering in all directions, he was doing his daily duties necessary to protecting his new family. On days like today he had a long wish that he could be one of those lazy kings who lay around all day occasionally playing with his cubs but no... Currently his pride was small, one day he hoped they would be heavily numbered and the strongest of the isles prides. Then he could sent a scout out to do this for him, he'd watch as Lore strided back from a hunt with his daughters all grown up and enjoy the comfort. Non of this murky day gloom exercise... Letting out a sigh he continued to hold his head high and prowl the boarders, a disgruntled face occasionally peering up to the sky followed by a shake of his mane.

The star twinked between the branches of the trees around her, making her violet fur glimmer. The lioness closed her delicate lids and lifted her head high towards the sky, searching for the answers she wished would just fall from the sky.
There were so many gaps in her mind. She had the memories of a cub; meeting those her age. Between them and the close past, everything seemed so... empty. Now, the lioness seemed to be so old(much older than those she saw now-a-days, anyways) and her past seemed to fizzle out like a candle in the rain.
After a moment of silence, her maw parted and she let out a roar, full of sorrow and remorse, luring in the answers just beyond her grasp...

Varg's head turned swiftly, there was something closely bordering on the line of his self allocated Prides land. Something that could be heard strongly from a distance and something that tugged at the back of his mind as being all together far too familiar. With a blink the werelion was sprinting in its direction and as he run he tried to piece the roar's caller in his mind. It was a female call, but its tone...
As his eyes caught a purple blur hidden further in front by several bushes and tree's his paws began to slow and soon he was merely walking. "You there! What is your business" he snarled and flicked his tail still on guard in case of an intruder.

Kuroni lowered her scarred maw low to the ground as she furrowed her brow, her good eye flicking around the trees for the source of the voice. "I mean no harm, lion" Her voice was cold as she spotted the lion, one she had either not known or had not remembered. "I have not passed the border of these lands and don't plan to." She huffed lighty. "And plus, what harm could one like myself do?"
Her tail flicked calmly and her wings gave a flutter. "Kuroni." Introducing herself, she nodded her head lightly. "Wanderer."

Varg's reply was growled, he'd only seen her colours and heard her voice but something still nagged at the back of his mind, he turned to avoid a close conflict to assess her more thoroughly. Sliding around the tree his shorts hugged his body as he brought his wings up in defense. "Perhaps I have claimed these lands, extending my boarder what would your move be?" That name... He knew someone by that name once... a long time ago when he was young and a nervous excuse for a teen. Halting he held his breath and looked to his shorts as the memories flooded back, "Varg..." compared to his usual strong voice he'd said it in almost a whisper.
It can't be..

Her tail whipped lightly beying her and the edge of her maw irked a bit. Snorting lightly, she wrinkled her nose. "Then do what you will. Varg." The word left her maw in a whispy breath and, as she did so, her ear twitched. The name made something inside her writhe, though it had no meaning to her. In her mind, anyways. "I don't fear many."

Varg was curious, he was still on guard but that name and the voice... she sounded so weak though... It really can't be... can it? Taking a gulp he faced the inevitable, stepping out of his spectators seat and looking her over. In his mind he'd imagined her a young fruitful queen in her prime, standing strong and composed here was something altogether different. "Queen..." He whispered blinking slowly as he continued his once over. Time had not been kind to this lioness.. she'd scares from the past and her eye... that couldn't be comfortable. Wrapping his tail around his legs he toyed with his shorts, running its tip through the rips and tears, surely she would recognize him for the coward he had been. Shaking his head he had to ask... "What happened to your eye... Kuroni?"

The title Queen drifted towards her ears and she snorted, narrowing her eyes and wrinkling her nose. As he spoke once more, her lip curled. "How do you know who I am..." Her voice was soft, and she flicked her tail gently. Was it possible that this lion knew of her past? Had he actually beenthere? Could he provide answers? Her ears waved gently and she glanced to the side. "I... don't know. Don't remember." She glanced back to him, her faded eye flicking over him. "What happened to me, Varg."

"You're the Queen... my Queen... I was nothing to you..." he sighed, it had been true. Throughout his growings in the Pride the royals had very little to do with him, It wasn't till he headed the warriors that special meetings for updates and progress had happened. Those where the best days of his life, the days he looked forward to back then, a few words from his queen a little bit of attention. Hanging his head he hadn't felt these emotions in so long, where could he begin? Should he tell the truth, how he'd fled upon returning to discover they'd all been slaughtered in cold blood? How he wore the shorts of her king... and mate.
Glancing into Kuroni's eyes his face seemed to drop "Our pride... It... Well... I hadn't known there were survivors! I thought I was the only one... don't you remember? Anything... Queen Kuroni..." His ears dropped as he spoke the last two words, even saying those words... if she could not remember then he would consider her lucky, but what right had he to bring back all that pain and suffering?
