Welcome to the contest portion of this guild. Contests may be held by anyone at anytime. They may be anything from bump contests, to avi-art...basically anything you can think of. However, there are a few things you should probably keep in mind when making a contest...
1.) Contests should have a clear theme. It should be clear what and why you're competing.
2.) Contests should also have a set start/end date. I've heard too many "my contest will end when i say so." Which means a prize may never be rewarded because it ever ends.
3.) Contests must state beforehand what their prizes will be. This will prevent members from receiving cheap items when they very well may deserve more for their work. If you're worried about giving out large prizes and having only a few people participate, then state what the prizes will be based on how many participants you receive.
4.) The person holding the contest will decide how the winner is chosen. Be it by other members voting or they themselves determining the winner. If the other participant(s) feel that a winner was chosen that didn't deserve to win, then report it to one of the Crew (preferably OurHeroXero, EthneyArdin, Dilagence, or Hell_Tutor)
5.) Entries and contest MUST abide by Gaia's Terms of Service (ToS). You will be warned for posting/uploading inappropriate images/files. However, it is possible to be banned without warning for posting outrageous material. Whereupon you will be reported to Gaia Administrators. Gaia is a fun place to hang-out and make friends. Let's see that it stays that way.
I know it sounds like a bunch a rambled mumbo-jumbo...but rules are in place to keep some sort of order in place when there's a dispute. Use common sense and just get out there and have some fun ^_^
