Alrighty. I got a job and with my paycheck I'd like to order lolita clothes. In the starlight has reasonably priced clothes and I've heard (from this guild) that it's pretty good quality. I was wondering if the people who have bought from there could give comments on what they ordered. Also, I see how they have a section by the checkout button where you put the size of your waist but when i click "how to measure", they talk about measureing your theigh, waist, arm lenght, ect. Where do you tell them about those other measurments?

When you're filling in the measurements, you put it in the payment comments box for PayPal. Or, you can email them to her with the title "about my order" with your name and the items you ordered. I'm sure she'll answer quickly.
For skirts, you just need to let her know your waist measurement and the length of the skirt, for the most part. If your hips are drastically larger than your waist, though [more than say ten inches] you may want to include that measurement as well.
If you don't know how to measure your natural waist, just keep in mind that it's the narrowest part of your torso and usually slightly above your belly button.

Well, you have to keep in mind that that's not just shipping, it's also construction time and shipping. Leah and Mara make everything by hand, they're not just whipping out factory-manufactured goods a dozen skirts at a time.

Xx_Dead Lolita_xX i just ordered something from them, myself..... the shipping time is REALLY longi ordered last thursday and expect to get it friday or next monday.... 8-10 days?? Jeez actually shipping is really fast, 2-3 days usually. I actually got something overnight using standard shipping (that's really a prop for the USPS). Of course everything you order from In the Starlight is made to order by them personally so you generally have a week for construction but that's still incredibly fast especially since yours is not the only one they made that week. I've ordered from them several times, catalog and custom pieces and I've been impressed every single time. Be sure to check out the gallery too!

Leah's very good with communication and very good with her actual work. A lot of the photos I've seen of her replicas, I wouldn't have known weren't the real deal unless the photos zoomed in really tight on the details.
