What're some strange salutes your drum major has done pre-show?
I think my favorite from ours was at our last football game ...
She did her normal salute, then the ever-popular hip-dance from "JUMP ON IT" and then a pelvic thrust toward the crowd ... and then saluted again.

I've seen some pretty crazy ones out there too, so what's the craziest you've seen?
Two drum majors from another band did the "FU-SHION-HA!" thing from Dragon Ball Z.

My co drum major and I added Jump on It into our salute homecoming week...only for practice though. We wanted to see how many band members actually watched our salute. Last year, when our show was Pirates and we were dressed as Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth (kinda), we did a sort of sword fight and saluted at the end.

oh gosh... We did Jump On it the whole season, I pleaded with our senior Dm to do something different but she always pulled the "I'm not going to have this chance again!" thing. Now my friend put the song on her cell phone and plays it constantly so she can see my reaction. I'm not too fond of it really....

Well the first song in our show this year was "Mr. Roboto," so our drum major would slump over when we got on the feild and the senior in the pit would walk up and pretend to wind her up and then slap her back and she'd sorta like snap to life and salute. It was really funny because I was like right behind her with the snares and it looked like Dahsia was slapping the drum major's butt and the snares would go "Oh yeah. Do it again. Oh baby." I almost cried from trying not to laugh at State.
