The woman sits on the side of the market, her eyes closed as she listens to the sounds and pays attention to the smells. Peppermint, lemon, steak, fish, Eva, cinnamon, lillies, tulips, oranges, roses... A smile comes to her. After buying the Eva plant for Darian, he had given her a red rose.
"To go with your hair," he smiles.
She has kept the rose with her since that day, now dried and pressed but still keeping it's color and significance. It is now a bookmark, with wax paper, in her cookbook (the only book she owns).

Her stomach starts to growl so she enters a retaurant nearby. She recalls that they had come to this same restaurant but she can't remember what they had had to eat. The booth they sat at is unoccupied so, for old time's sake, she sits there. A waiter takes her order (a caramel cappuccino and chicken/veggie sub sandwich). As she waits, the jukebox [relatively new for it wasn't there the time the two of them had visited] starts playing an old song: "Laughter in the Rain" by Neil Sedaka.
Margem recognizes the song, for it wasn't that long ago for her as she is a Mystic of over 2800 years, as she relaxes in the booth. Her eyes close and she can see her last time with Darian. He told her that his name was truly Darian, not Mr. Ownage, but that he was still working on restoring his memory. After a while, they had gone down to the lake. The water had been so clear and refreshingly cool. The trees had made a perfect shadow/light contrast.
They swam for a while before getting out of the lake. As the woman had been getting out of the water, she had stepped on a piece of glass. Very painful for her because she couldn't heal with it in her foot. Luckily, Darian was able to get it out for her and the wound healed itself. The wound and the healing process led to a conversation about her race and, eventually, their ages. It was also at that point that she had told him about Sanyu and how Sanyu was actually leaving. Why? Because Margem had found Darian and they both expressed their love for each other - Sanyu's curse was almost completely broken.
After the lake, they headed back to the WizStar and it started to rain. They were able to get out from the rain, though it didn't matter too much to them - they had expressed their love to each other and were arm-in-arm with each other.
"You alright, miss?" the waiter asks, standing near her booth.
She opens her eyes and finds that she had been crying. She wipes her eyes as she nods. The waiter, who had stood by her table for about a minute without Margem's notice, places her food on the table for her.
The song ends as he says, "Enjoy."

After a night in the town, sleeping on a bench in the market area, and a hike of six silent hours, Margem Okalwa stands in a forest, her eyes closed. She lets out a slight whistle and listens intently for a response. Hearing the echo, she follows the direction of the sound, with her eyes open to watch out for stuff that may trip her. When she can't recall where the sound came from, she whistles again. After about forty minutes, she stops at the base of a tree. There is a pile of leaves and ferns lying at the base. When she moves them, there appears a camoflauged item. She picks it up, as it is her curved Elven sword in it's sheath. She withdraws it after tying the sheath's belt around her waist. She swings it a few times, checking it's quality after almost four years of neglect. It is still strong and agile as always for it is Elven. She slides it back into it's sheath, thanking the memory of her father for the wonderfully crafted weapon, and continues on her way.

Another day passes before the woman is able to arrive at the hills of Cordeva. She finds the cliff that she had been at that fateful night, the night they first met (according to what she can recall though she hasn't realized that they had met before the cliff of Cordeva). She sits down at least ten feet away from the cliff as she is a bit winded from the journey thus far.
"Be careful. You don't want to fall off," a voice says behind her.
She recognizes the voice and turns around. No one is there nor anywhere near her.
"Why do I keep hearing his voice?" she asks, realizing that those were his words all those years ago.
:Maybe because you're dehydrated, disillusioned, tired or madly in love?: Sanyu suggests in her slight whisper.
She shakes her head and, setting her backpack next to her, lies down. Her head feels light to her so, as the sun sets on the horizon, she lays her arm over her eyes.
"How much longer do I have until you're gone?"
A pause is heard in Margem's mind before Sanyu responses softly, :At most, two years then you're on your own. ...let's hope that you find him before then because, if I'm right, your defenses will be null for a while after I leave.:

Margem pauses and leans against a tree, soaked. It had been two months since she had left the resort and yet she hasn't found a lead to find Darian. She had gone to all the places they had met at, including the two dance-parties they had ran into each other. She's even stopped by the bar that she had been a waitress at when she found out that Ares had died.
Now she finds herself at the edge of a forest, ten o'clock on a rainy night. Her hat keeps the rain out of her eyes but she is still fairly damp. She sighs, her body feeling tired and sore.
'Keep going,' she tells herself, 'There's light ahead and posibly a place to spend the night.'
She finally arrives at a small hotel. She doesn't recognize it but she decides to check it out. It turns out to be a one-leveled building with only a few lights on. The main source of light comes from the center of the building which, she assumes, is where the reception desk is. She checks how much money she has in her pocket and slowly heads to the building, her body complaining the entire way. Once under the overhang, she takes off her hat to shake off the moisture. She then brushes off her coat to minimize the amount of water she'll bring inside. She then takes a step inside and, with a quick glance, heads over to the reception desk. A black haired man sits at the desk, reading a book. She clears her throat, her backpack slipping off of her back and onto the ground (making a puddle of water on the floor beneath it), and he looks up.
"Can I help you, ma'am?" he asks, closing the book with a marker.
"A room for one for two nights, please."
He nods and, after a few minutes, he presents a paper and a pen to her. She signs it as it is insurance coverage for the room. He tells her how much two nights costs and she pays him up front with cash. Handing the key to her, he tells her the required information like what time breakfast is served, what time the pool and jacuzzi area is open, etcetera.
The woman expresses her thanks, especially since her room is not too far from the reception desk. He nods to her and she knows that she is physically tired. She goes to her room and, once inside, drops all of her stuff by the door. She takes a quick semi-warm shower, preps for bed and crawls under the sheets.

Waking up the next morning, Margem finds herself lying in a different bed and in a different room. Her pajamas have changed and her backpack is no longer by the door. The window nearby (there was no window in the hotel!), covered by a fine elvish silk-like material (lets the light in and lets one see from inside towards the outside but keeps peeping eyes out), opens out to a wonderful spring view. There is an old tree sitting by the bank of a wide river, a swing hanging from one of it's branches that is further away from the river. A child swings on the swing: back and forth, back and forth. Margem notices that the child is a young elvish child with short blue hair.
She hears the door opening up into the room and, turning around, finds Darian approaching the bed.
"I was wondering when you'd wake up."
Margem sighs and reaches for him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Am I dreaming?"
"If you are," he says, wrapping his arms around her, "It's a good dream."
She sighs contently, secure in his arms. They sit together for a few minutes, just staying in each other's arms, before footsteps come rushing through the building ( -our house?- ). The blue haired child that she had seen earlier, a boy, jumps onto the bed and breaks up the two adults' hug. He throws his arms around Margem.
"Good morning, Mommy!" he says brightly.
The shocked redhead pauses before hugging him. - Mommy? Whoa. ... Cool. -
"Good morning, dear," she replies back in an as-equally cheerful tone.
Darian smiles before saying, "Come on, then. Let's make breakfast for Mommy."
The two blue haired elves leave the room, letting the redhead to ready for the day.
Margem smiles and stretches, temporarily closing her eyes since it's such a huge stretch. When she opens them again, however, the only thing that hasn't changed is that she is Margem who is sitting on a bed (and the fact that this room has no windows at all).
"It was all a dream?" she sighs, closing her eyes and shivering, "A dream? ..."
After taking about three minutes to find courage from such a dream, be it a true prediction or a false one, she gets up and readies for another day of traveling.

Over the last few months, the dream about Darian and his son repeats over and over in the redhead's mind. Sitting down by a tree, she sighs and closes her eyes.
-It's been eight months already since I left the Wizstar. Yet, I really haven't come closer to finding him.-
A blue haired spirit sits down by her and says, "And why didn't you just stay at the Wizstar? You and I both know that he'll return there someday."
She laughs saying, "Sanyu, who knows when 'someday' will be? I can't sait for him anymore...."
The spirit shakes her head, "That's not true, and you know it. You'd rather wait for him than living without him for the rest of your life."
The redhead glares at the spirit before saying, "I know that but you're leaving, remember?"
Sanyu laughs, not saying anything. Margem also does not say anything as she closes her eyes again.
"At least you've found your love and are pining for him," she replied to the redhead.
