I was just wondering what you people thought of my avie and if it is lolita enough to even be considered..Because I've had people rant at me because it doesn't have enough frill to actually be called lolita, and then it isn't home-made enough either. O.o Is it true or are they just being jerks?

Well...Gaia doesn't really have a lot of lolita-like clothing for the avatar, so it doesn't really matter (even their g-lol items aren't really lolita). In your case, you're simply putting a maid costume on your avatar and other motives that don't really go together well (such as the cat ears and tail, and pirate eye patch). If you are trying to aim to make your avatar look more lolita, I'd lose the eye patch and cat tail and ears. It's too cosplayish.

I wanted to laugh at the other peoples' comments you mentioned. I mean, really, how are pixelized frills any better than cheap see through lace in real life?

I suggest doing a little research and look through A LOT of examples of brand named lolita dresses. There are various of styles that don't look very maidish at all.

Thats all that matters right. Who cares what other people say, especially if they are saying mean things.

In any case, I definitely think its Loli enough. You have done a very good job at assembling what you could Gaia's severe lack of Loli clothes.

Nothing on Gaia can be constituted as anything other than bad Lolita inspired. There can never truly be a Lolita look on Gaia. Also for the people who said "it doesn't have enough frill" they are the ones who usually buy the lace monsters at conventions and Bodyline and then assume "they know Lolita". When ever you hear that don't listen to them because lots of lace=/=Lolita.

And it's Home-MAID not made.
You should buy a gothic veil and some G-LOL items. and neck ruffles and bows.
You can do it on gaia, you just have to try.

It's just pixels. Besides, it's hard to make loli avis on Gaia anyway. But being honest, the ears, tails and maid dress would look cosplay-ish in real life. But it's Gaia, just a picture on the screen so if people are getting all worked up about it then who really cares.

Eh Gaia doesn't even have enough Lolita-esque items. As long as you are happy with your avatar then it doesn't matter.

Well I really do like my avie because I've put alot of time into it.. "Some of you may not believe that, But I have." But then again I do appreciate all the the idea's.. so thank you, and keep' em coming. :3
