Animals aren't dumb. I actually think theyr'e smarter than us in many ways. Just because they don't steal, rape, pillage, destroy or pollute the planet, start wars or build useless toys doesnt mean theyre dumb.
Sure, we can't understand them but who's to say that WE don't make jibberish noises?

Animals steal. If one animal kill a prey, another animals gonna check it out and steal the food if it's hungry enough.
They rape, too. Doesn't matter if the female is ready or not, the male will mount her and rape her. Nature's course. They have to reproduce.
Pillage and destroy. I suppose one animal could destroy another animals' den/lair/whatever and move in. They destroy other animals, kind of. Any male speicies fights for the females, and they could kill eachother in the process.
They can't start wars 'cause they're not under a huge ruling...thing. like a government.
they sure as hell don't pollute the earth or build usless crap...Well, last time I checked.
