Umm, is it all right to have mutual feelings for someone in another state whom you've never met? Very good feelings?

neutral
you'll probably hear this more than once 9but that's because it's true)
long-distance doesn't work.
PS: that person could be ANYONE- haven't you heard never to trust people you meet online when it comes to a relationship with them?
I'm not trying to put you down, I'm speaking from experience.

Actually you are both wrong. See I have been with my boyfriend of 4 months and we live on the oppisite sides of the country as eachother. He lives in New York and I live in Washington. I have to tell you its been on of the best, no, the best dicission I ever made saying yes to him. We met on gaia a year ago. I know who he is, I actually know him better than he knows himself. I would trade anything for him. If I don't have him, whats the point of having anything. He means the world to me and I think you should go for it. If you truly like them then go for it. You learn alot about each other and actually long distance relationships can be good in a sense. And what I mean by that is you get the foundation of the relationship down before you get the physical stuff in there. You end up learning to trust eachother more, and you learn that no matter the distance you will always love them. You just have to try and follow your heart. But there are also down sides to being in a long distance relationship but the good out weighs the bad. If you think that she/he is worth it than take the chance. Or you may end up ten years from now thinking 'What would have happened if I did date them?' For all you know, you two could be married and have children. Now I am not saying long distance are for everyone. But you just need to know yourself and the other person. Like me, my boyfriend flips everytime I cry and he thinks he should be here. He feels bad that he can't be here. So thats a down side. Also you see all of your friends go on dates but you don't have anyone to go with. Just go for it. I know I did. And I won't give it up for anything

I think that there's some instances where it could work. I've had a few long distance relationships, and I've had real feelings for the people I'm in them with, but in most cases-they didn't really feel the same way. It has to happen in a way that's ery honest. You also have to amost accept the fact that they MAY find someone local and might have to dumb you because local is more convenient.

I think the real question is/are;
Are you and your partner in question mature enough to handle a relationship long distance? Do you trust each other? Will you be able to devote enough time to it?
I was in a lovely long distance relationship for about three months but things were moving on where we both lived so it just wouldn't work. (: Good luck though, don't break you heart.
