On my Alliance alt I loooove doing old school stuff. Now that I'm 70 I can go raid and experience the stuff I never thought I'd do while being Alliance. ( I raided a lot on my Horde druid )
ZG, MC, and Ony all in one night. It. was. fun.
I recently got the good ol' Quel for RP kicks.
People now are getting interested though in doing this more. With talks of going to BWL an idea struck me.
AQ gong quest chain. I think besides getting the Thunderfury or Hand of Rag this would totally pwn. Though, I kinda would screw over the server if I X-ferred before the opened the gates. Do they still even have that thing happen on newer servers?
Anyone else doing the old stuff? I am avoiding AQ for a while because I farmed the s**t back PRE-BC. Oh, if only Naxx still wasn't a pain...

Naxx is still pretty fun, I ran it on a resto shaman the other day in my friend's casual guild while he ******** around on my warlock. It's in no way as hard as it used to be, most people in the guild were sitting in blues and a few Kara drops, and we breezed through it pretty easily after we all got organized. The guild is casual, but they're mature and follow orders well. Probably the best casual raiding guild I've ever played with. 3nodding

Me and a mage friend 2manned ubrs/lbrs etc for Onyxia attunement, I've also cleared zg and aq20. Raiding is fun when you're not doing it for loot and not wiping...
Atm I'm collecting my d1 set, my goal is 8/8 tier 2. lol.

The Mule Of Max Naxx is still pretty fun, I ran it on a resto shaman the other day in my friend's casual guild while he ******** around on my warlock. It's in no way as hard as it used to be, most people in the guild were sitting in blues and a few Kara drops, and we breezed through it pretty easily after we all got organized. My guild has done MC a couple of times, ZG once or twice, and AQ20 once. It can be fun. For people who were not around or not high enough Pre-BC, it's something different. For people who did raid it Pre-BC, it can be really interesting to them to see the old places again and see how much easier it is with ten 70s instead of twenty to forty 60s. xp So we go in and goof around more than anything.
Doing those older instances can also be like Kara prep for 60-somethings. In our guild, we have lots of 60-somethings moving on up who have just soloed everything so far, so they don't know much about working in a group and how their responsibilities and spell rotation might change. So Pre-BC stuff can be a fun little practice sometimes.
I also won the roll on two purple BoEs in MC one night, which was nice.

The BOE tier 1 belts still sell for a good few hundred. XD I dislike tier 1 on my paladin... Tier 2. *_* I wish I could buy that.
I seriously want tier 2 for if I ever got a finger print or whatever those model things are called.
