Well, most of us aren't old enough to vote, but we are old enough to have our oppinion. So, I was curious, who is your favorite candidate? You can ut why you like them if you want, but you don't have to. You can pic out of anyone who ran for the name of presidential candidate. You can even list those that left the race.
For me, here were/are my favorites:
Duncan Hunter Mitt Romney Rudy Giulanni.

Argh... I have no idea!!!! I've turned from being a conservative to a independent, and I don't know who'll I'm going to vote for(and I actually get to vote this time) Sadly, the best arguement I've heard is "Huclebee, because Chuck Norris supports him."

Well, I don't support Hucklebee. He wants all Illegal Immigrants to be allwoed to stay here and the states top pay for their college funds. I Say we build a huge wall along the southern border so they can''t cross over Illegally.

kezia of the chains i agree with the wall idea biggrin i chose hillary just because i'm a girl That's dissapointing. Go with a candidate because they have ideas and plans you agrrew with, not just because you're the same race/gender. Yeah so what, she can be the first female president, it doesn't mean she's the right choice. Also, Romney just dropped out today, so now there's no good candidates left in the Presidential race, so I have noone to support.

Too many people are voting for Hillary and Barack just because the yare Democrats, or because one's black and teh other is a woman. They both will ruin America. They have no experience whatsoever!

Aye Gekido, I agree, although not as strongly as others might. I too, believe America is doomed, and I swear, if a Democrat gets the office, I'm going back to London for good.

Ha ha ha! Isn't it so great that the democrats can find all tehse problems with eachother, but when they targeted McCain, they could hardly say anything bad other than he was in Vietnam? Hillary is killing Obama and vice versa. I just love it!
For all those with an openmind and logic, vote republican in '08!

I'll dissent. There a lot of racist people who are not going to vote for Obama just because he is black, and they by far outnumber the few people who would vote for him because he is black. African americans are on about 17 percent of the population, while racists are condiderably more. rolleyes I have an open mind, and logic, which is why I'm NOT voting McCain. There's nothing logical about another decade in Iraq.
And, I'm old enough to vote. Oh yeah. biggrin

I disagree with your views, but I accept and respect them. I am not racist, but I still pray to God that Barack isn't our next president. No, not because he is black, I could care less over whether or not we had a male or female, black, white, or even purple president. I want someone who has experience. And yes, I am Republican, but it doesn't mean I won't support a Democrat. That Democrat just has to have views that agree with mine. I supprot the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, I support off-shore drilling, I don't support abortion(there is one exception for it in my book and that is rape(if a girl is raped and gets pregnant, I believe she has the choice to do it or not)), and plenty of other subjects. I too, am as open minded, logical, and intelligent as one could possibly be growing up in Manhatten.

My opinions stand at thus:
As a history education major, I have respect for Barack Obama for his audacity to run at she an inexperienced point in his career, as well as his excellent stance on education.
That being said, I feel that at this point in time, experience is required for success, which McCain has, despite his overall lack of people skills. Wether he posses the charisma needed for the job remains to be seen.
As for Hillary Clinton, I have no objections to a woman president. I simple feel that I don't want THAT woman to be president. Although she doubtlessly has experience from eight years with her husband, Her overall lack of any solid footing on issues, as well as her blatant disregard of situations when the are against her is a worrying combination for any, much less one attempting to go into a leadership role.
As it is, I support John McCain, because I feel he is the best suited to the current situation the United States is in, with his military as well as overall experience. However, four years down the road? I sincerely hope Obama chooses to run then, because at that point in time, we may be in the perfect situation for his charisma and youthful energy that the current situation does not allow. Just my outlook.

As for illegal immigrants? Set up a line of remote-operated machine guns along the border, and package the controls as a video game. $10 for a kill. Problem solved. ninja

Dude, I totally respect and agree with most of your views. Except about Obama. I just cannot see him as a leader of America, at least not one who will lead us WELL. I may be wrong, he could possibly be a good leader, but as of right now, my oppinion stands that unless he really gains experience, starts paying real attention to the issues and what not, he is not a good choice for president, and neither were his democratic opponents.
I totally agree wih your view on Illegal Immigrants, but I have an idea to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and get rid of the illegals. Offer them a position in our military, and they can become citizens, get the benefits of citizenship. BUT--They MUST learn English and serve at least 6 years in the US Military. Also, once we have Iraq and Afghanistan settled, we can have a quick reacting force there for another few years like we have in Britain, Germany, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea. That way, if problems occur there again, we have a force over there already to deal with it.
