My phone was stolen out of my bag in the dining hall today. I'm really upset, and really pissed, and of course this being 2008 and me being an upper-middle class 18 year-old, naturally I feel lost and helpless without it, even though I only use it to call home and my boyfriend.
I just can't believe this happened.

Ugh, that sucks. Call the phone company and have them shut off service to it. The person who stole the phone won't get anything out of it when it stops having service, so maybe they'll learn that it's useless to steal someone's phone. Plus you don't want to keep paying for a service someone else is using.

That blows man. Nobody really gets their phone stolen at my school but iPods are taken all the time.

Er.. did you try calling it to see if someone would answer? That's the first thing I would do if I noticed my phone was missing.
