and 17g repair bills.

So, my kara broke up after wiping on Shade... (yay for noob mage, >.< wish my mage hadn't been saved)

Half of us were still bored, it was only 11 at night! so we found more people (all with nowhere good enough gear for ZA, of course) and went to ZA. Actually REACHED the bear boss and killed all his adds except the last 4, then ran around ZA for the next hour kiting bosses around. I learned that the dragonhawk boss does NOT like pyroblast. Made it almost all the way to the entrance with him chasing me before he reset. would never have made it without Blink and Mana Shield.

lol.... so how much +spell damage will i need before i can REALLY do ZA?

According to http://www.worldofmatticus.com/2008/01/11/minimum-class-stat-requirements-for-zulaman/ a mage should have 900+ damage before going to ZA. I have not done ZA yet though, so I cannot say if that is really necessary or not.

It also says 900+ damage for shadow priests. My main is a shadow priest with +887 at the moment. She should be getting about an additional 100 damage in a week or two. My guild also plans on starting ZA within a week or two even though a lot of our people (maybe even most) don't meet the requirements listed on that site. A lot of my guildies are not geared all that well, but they tend to catch on fairly quickly on boss fights, and we're blowing through Kara and need something else to do. xp Someone else here probably has input on whether the requirements on that site are actually necessary or not, but if they do not, I can let you know in a couple of weeks. xp

L.O.L. xD That sounds like a fun night. Ever consider Arena gear to up that spell damage? There's an excellent set I've seen that would probably bring you to that level you want your hits to perform at. I wouldnt be familiar though... I'm a resto druid. And a shadow priest. razz But hey, good luck! I think my gang wants to run ZA soon anyways. xD So... ~sigh~

can't join an arena team, but maybe some pvp gear would help.....

Za is pretty fun but hex lord is a b***h. gonk Zuljin is easier than him in my opinion.

The dragonhawk boss resets as soon as you leave the platform he's on, so I somehow doubt you made it almost all the way to the entrance with him. Most of the other bosses put up walls, close doors when you start them so I dunno wtf you were kiting around ZA, but it wasn't bosses.

well, i was in combat up until I made it to the entrance. Maybe the others decided "mage pull = hey, let's TRY to kill it!"?
